I started my research for someone who could pick up a small-medium size of various junk at 8:00 this morning. By 9:15, Junk'ers had picked it all up. I got an immediate response to my first request, with an "Is it okay if I come now? Unless you prefer another day." Now was a wonderful idea, as some of our junk had literally been sitting in our driveway since our last major clean and purge...last summer (teachers have NO other time to be that organized). We recently doubled the pile. Having it picked up within a half hour of agreeing on a price was just wonderful. Major item checked off the summer to do list. I should also mention that the estimate was based solely on my list, and was provided sight unseen. It turned out that I underestimated how much there was and had to text him a new list and we agreed on a new, very fair, estimate before he got here. We've been using another service that I won't name, but it's kind of like "Frat Boys want your garbage." Their costs are higher. The require an in person estimate before picking up a few days later. I received multiple quotes for the removal of a queen mattress and box springs from an upstairs bedroom. Junk'ers were quick to respond with a reasonable quote and a schedule that was ideal for me. Actually, Jose texted to ask if he could come earlier than what we scheduled - which was even better. Upon arrival, Jose and his assistant, put on facemasks and shoe covers and got right to work.
