What a cool place to visit and spend some time at. I love the old collectibles in the yard. I went for my niece's graduation. I live taking pictures and there are so many things one can take pictures of. I hope to go back for a latte when I'm in the area.

Awesome area for kids to engage in risky play (but enclosed) while parents relax. Came with our 3 year old and infant, along with another family with kids aged 3-7. Great time!

It's a really cool space but seems wanting for a business model or compelling offering. We came on a First Friday which is one of the regular times that they're open to the public. There was a pleasant musician, wine for sale, and takeout empanadas. Our kid enjoyed playing on the cool structures, but I don't really see it being worth the admission fee without there being more to it.

Great place to hang if you have kids and want a play area they can enjoy while adults chill.

I was so very fortunate and lucky enough to have been able to attended super camp here throughout…read moregrade school, and to this day I tell people that it changed my life!!! It's worth the hike up for your kids to have experiences you won't be able to find anywhere else in the world with life long core memories that build good character. I HIGHLY recommend enrolling your kids here even if it's for one week day camp, or a focus group. I also LOVE that it's been operating for over 70 years by the same family running it today. You won't find anywhere else that has not only a turn key, organized, professional establishment but that's run by heart, soul, love for the outdoors, community, respect for one another, and tradition. It's also a great place to have your wedding or any special event!!

Our kids have been going to camp here for the past few years. It's hands down their favorite part…read moreof the summer. They get to ride horses, mountain board, do archery, swim, hike and more. The owners Lynn and Mike are incredibly easy to work with. All the staff are well trained and very attentive to the children and help stretch their comfort zone in fun challenging activities. This year camp was cancelled due to COVID-19. As an alternative, CMR has been hosting single family activities to ensure social distancing. We took the opportunity to do this and we had a blast. As parents, we really didn't know much about how the kids spent their time on the ranch. Spending time up there made me feel like a kid again. The staff made the whole experience fun and easy. The measures that CMR are taking to reduce exposure to the virus are as good as any place I've seen. They sanitize every piece of equipment and touch point between each family and keep the flushies sparkling. Oh and hundreds of acres to spread out the guests. After several months of quarantine and more to come, CMR's 2020 family program was much needed. It's also worth mentioning that various special needs grants and scholarships will cover the family program.

This review is just for the Chili Bowl fundraiser at the Pottery Lab. This is the 10 th anniversary…read moreevent and it has evolved into a very enjoyable event. As a neighbor, the starting years were very problematic with trash, noise, and disorganization. The chili contestants ave improved their quality and serving ability. There are different contestants from the earlier years. There are many styles, red and green chili, meat, vegetarian and vegan. They really have Boulder covered. There are adequate tables and chairs and especially convenient trash bins. The number and size of the bowls has improved. Now that Groundwork's is in charge, there is more than just pottery to buy in the craft sales as they teach other arts at other locations. The staffing is plentiful and staff easily identified by quality shirts. I tried chili from several options though I could not use all five tickets that come with the bowl as I need to have yet another meal today. I chose from restaurants where I have eaten , a catering service I have used and The Academy Senior Living which happens to be in the same neighborhood with a really good chef who used to cook at a now closed by retirement, restaurant where we ate regularly. I didn't want to do more than that number and decided familiar places gave me a judge of general capability on a dish I rarely order out. My ranking first in overall flavor, appearance and ingredients goes to the Post which surprised me as I rarely chicken chili anywhere and I do not like beer at all. But the ingredients here really came together, chicken, beans, corn, topped with cotija, cilantro, lime . My second goes to The West End Tavern which was excellent with brisket and a bbq sauce style, cheese on top. Good, but more expected and brisket good quality and tender. Third ranked is the Academy for sheer inventiveness that really came together. Pineapple was a treat to find to sweeten and spark and the crunch of the toasted corn nuts added a lot. At a $25 price for a bowl to keep and support programs here, it's well worth another year to participate again.

I took a beginner clay class and it was disappointing. The instructor did not want to be teaching…read moreand basically started out the class with a brief instruction and told the class that she would not tolerate questions during class time if it required her to repeat something she already said. She basically worked on her own pieces, did not circulate to help the students or foster a sense of community, and was rude. Her instruction regarding glaze appearance after firing was incorrect so the pieces did not turn out like she described they would and she did not provide glaze samples. She did not seem to care in the least. I filled out the feedback survey accordingly. More recently, I decided to give it another try and take a class but the registration link is inactive (registration is open) and the website is not maintained well and looks unprofessional (works overlapping words). They can do so much better!
