Never once have they been playing a game during down time, the counselors seem very overwhelmed and inexperience. Also, they no longer own enough Vans and so many times kids will not have a place to shelter in severe weather. The counselors in charge of the 5/6 year old kids wasn't watching the kids at all when I picked my kid up a half hour early. The kids were told to hang out under a shelter with absolutely no games or activities during a day that rained all day.

Not ideal, but at least she deserves credit for the effort she put forth and timely response.

I have three boys and a girl aged 16 to 6. They are in gymnastics and are self-taught in Ninja obstacles. At first, the staff hesitated to allow my kids to try the advanced ninja obstacles (because it was our first time there), but communicated that clearly and considerately, while eventually giving them a chance to "prove themselves" under proper supervision. I appreciated their genuine concern for my kids' safety, while still being willing to cater to their desire to challenge themselves. My boys also appreciated the staff catering to them so they could enjoy the experience even more! Warrior Playground appears on the Colorado "Get Out Pass" which gets you a free session at the playground during Open Gym time on certain days.

The owners Lynn and Mike are incredibly easy to work with. All the staff are well trained and very attentive to the children and help stretch their comfort zone in fun challenging activities. This year camp was cancelled due to COVID-19. As an alternative, CMR has been hosting single family activities to ensure social distancing. We took the opportunity to do this and we had a blast. As parents, we really didn't know much about how the kids spent their time on the ranch. Spending time up there made me feel like a kid again. The staff made the whole experience fun and easy. The measures that CMR are taking to reduce exposure to the virus are as good as any place I've seen. They sanitize every piece of equipment and touch point between each family and keep the flushies sparkling. Oh and hundreds of acres to spread out the guests. After several months of quarantine and more to come, CMR's 2020 family program was much needed. It's also worth mentioning that various special needs grants and scholarships will cover the family program.

Instead of giving into their frustration about lack of progress and hating messing with their bindings etc, I decided to book some open time at Shredder to work with them directly on the fundamentals. This was a perfect setting where they didn't need to worry about being bundled up, their gloves etc and could instead just focus on walking up the ramp, getting comfy with their bindings and working on leaf turns, heel stops, etc. The staff is very helpful and engaging and would squirt the artificial turf to help them go faster after they started to get better. A small complaint is we wish the ramp were longer as it's harder to combine multiple turns in a single run. This is a great place during spring / summer / fall for a quick review on the basics prior to heading to the slopes. They also offer camps, summer camps, seasonal lessons, etc. We brought our own gear but they have skis snow boards, boots and helmets available.
