It is unfortunate that I must rate this company 1 Star. I am the third generation in my family to use them for pool services starting with my grandfather folllowed by my great aunt, uncle and now myself. I figured I would get the same quality service several of my family members had. I was wrong. The issues started with my very first service call. Unknown to the individuals cleaning my pool they were being watch by myself on my security camera from my home in Arizona. Being a new home owner I needed to make sure I was getting my money's worth for my monthly $90 service. What I saw was pretty upsetting. Only half the job was completed and I had video proof. A call to Sue the manager had her out to finish the job. I should have known then what was to come. However, they tried hard to make things right and I wanted to give them a chance to earn my business. I watched my pool guy Ted over the next month or so and he did what was needed each time. He's a good employee and he gets five stars. I even let Sue know he was doing a good job and I was pleased. With my most recent invoice several months after I started with the service I noticed there were extra charges for calcium. I had been very specific with Sue the manager on the phone and in writing to a rather unpleasant lady named Cindy in their office that I wanted to be notified of all extra charges prior to accruing them. I was told over the phone by Sue I would be notified. Living in AZ 2500 miles away at the time as well as having issues with my first service I didn't want there to be multiple surprises on my bill. When I wrote them back about the bill telling them to go ahead with payment and REMINDING them I was to be notified before they added something that was going to incur a charge Cindy informed rather curtly they would not be informing me of stuff they were going to be doing to MY pool that was going to cost me extra money. They would give me the bill at the end of the month before running my card. Like I have a choice to dispute it or say no. That basically leaves the door wide open for them to do whatever they want to your bill. For someone like me who caught them initially not providing the services I was paying for to now start adding charges you had no idea where coming even if small is really unscrupulous. It's unfortunate but I've now switched companies to another local pool company who doesn't do that since all chemicals are included and there are no surprises on your bills. I cannot recommend this company for services and would recommend you be cautious before using them yourself until their methods of billing are adjusted to meet simple requests to notify you before a charge is incurred beyond the revolving $90 /month. read more

As a new resident of Hobe Sound (Stuart for 10 years), and one with a salt water pool, I have been here a few times picking up supplies, parts, testing the pool water specs and asking for general advice, I have always found everyone here to be accommodating, pleasant and helpful, even during Dorian Hurricane preparation, when they were boarding up their shop, they were still servicing customers in a friendly manor. I have not used Jupiter Island Pools for regular pool maintenance, in that I have been using an independent service for 10 years now. That said, this is my goto shop for supplies, parts, and advice. read more

We had been customers for Jupiter Island pool cleaning company. Initially we were very pleased with the services they provided. However, it came to be we were the training spot for new untested employees. They never did last long. We even had to have supervisor come and shock our pool to bring it back up to snuff. Then our last employee came unmasked and unvaccinated to clean our pool. I complained and they sent someone else the following week. The next week the unvaccinated and unmasked employee came again and cleaned our pool. However, she did not screw on the top of the filter when she left. Neither did she tell us why. My husband went to turn on the filter and it exploded all over him. Called the office, and they checked the work reports which indicated the screw had stripped. That was ok but we did not know and when employee was questioned, she said it was because we didn't want to talk to her. Neither, did she phone or leave a note Informing us there was a problem. The next week she was back again after Joe repaired the pump. My husband questioned her again as to why she did not inform us and she replied her instructions were to let office know and she abruptly left without cleaning. End of Jupiter Island Pools. read more
