However, over the past few months I had begun to experience difficulty with the A/C system...would occasionally work though more often not. I was worried about the cost of diagnostic procedures, and once the problem was located, about the cost of repairs. After taking the car to another shop, the freon pressure was deemed appropriate but their options/ideas were stifled at that point. They did suggest taking the car down to Greer's for further evaluation; thus, we were off... The guys at Greer's were able to rule out the expensive fixes (much to my delight) and narrowed the problem down to 2 separate components, each dealing with the electrical system. We opted to go with the least expensive option first, they ordered the part, it showed up on time and had my car fixed in less than an hour. Best part: I HAVE AIR CONDITIONING AGAIN!!!!! And yes, that last statement is extremely important as I will be driving back to Austin Texas in the upcoming months in the evil heat. I am now able to ride in comfortable style :-) Best of all, total cost was $109.05 for both part and labor. Not bad considering past repair bills for the VW. Ouch. So thank you, Greer's Auto Service, for allowing more happy time with my car and for not taking all the money i had (which wasn't much, but happy to have some left over, hehe)! Other notes: the shop was clean, inviting, personnel were extremely helpful, answering all questions I had and even pointing out things on the engine to further demonstrate what they were talking about. As a female, and having dealt with many shops in the past, they treated me with the utmost respect and I would happily return, though hope to not need their services again...if you know what I mean. They need to stick to oil changes because they clearly can't even properly balance a wheels and tire. Took a set of wheels and tires in to be mounted and balanced on the recommendation of a friend. They mounted them and then tried to balance them. They kept trying to balance on the back side of the wheel only. I told them that with this big tires that they should balance on both sides. They told me they do not do that. After several failed attempts to balance and 13 oz on one side. I told them again to balance on both sides. So they finally set the machine to balance on both sides but could not get it to balance that way either. That is because after changing the machine they should have removed all the weights from the wheel and started over. They didn't so naturally it wouldn't zero out. They finally told me the tires I had were too old and could not be balanced. That was the most ridiculous thing I ever heard. So I told them to just charge me for mounting them and I would go. They charged 72.00 for this!! That is robbery for what they did. I was charged for their stupidity and they wouldn't even give me a receipt. Left there and went straight to Big O and they balanced them with no trouble at all.

They ripped my home apart, then walked away with OVER $100,000, all of our supplies and only about 30% of the job complete. My roof leaks in multiple areas causing even more damage and everything that they did has to come down and be completely re-done due to unsafe structures. I have the licensed building inspector report to prove it. I have been unable to live in my home for over 6 months now because of them. I NEVER received one receipt for any purchased products, even though I requested them many times. The day they quit and walked off the job they told me that I would never get the receipts. They even went to the place where our new windows were ordered and tried to take the replacement windows. They are unprofessional, argue in front of their customers, show up late or not all, cancel or just completely no-show to meetings, and they have NO crew. I asked multiple times about a crew and was told they had help, but they don't. They have 2 kids that can barely swing a hammer. I would not recommend them for anything. They are true criminals and have not changed their ways. They promise things will be done by a certain date and they don't deliver on said promise. They claim to have a drywall crew, a framing crew, and they do not. They find whoever with no experience off Facebook groups. They make mistake after mistake and promise to fix it and they don't, they make it worse. I paid them 04/22/21 and they said it was an "easy 6-8 week job". It's currently August 23,2021 and my 24x24 addition is still not done. After getting fed up they promised it would be done August 15th, they lied. I asked for a contract update stating it will be done by today, August 23rd,2021 and it's not done. I'll let them pictures of my house speak for themselves. Do yourself a favor and stay far away! I now have to contact another business to come in and fix this mess.
