It seems to me that they could not give me a good explanation. I reheard and found out that the job ranged from $375 to $700. and some as little as $150. If your have repair work only, I would inquire what the cost per hour for labor. for that job and how long it would take. I wonder how many other customers that they did the same thing of over charging. There is only one reason they have no hourly rate, so they can charge any amount.

This time they sent out an AC tech and an electrician (Vincent). The electrician went straight to her breaker and told her that it was so outdated and could cause a fire at any time. Convinced her that it was pretty urgent and really scared her. He quoted her $9000.00 dollars to replace everything. At this point, the AC tech just walked out and waited in the truck. When she expressed concern over the price, Vincent quickly brought out an iPad and told her they had financing. He then had her apply for a loan for the $9k. Since she was still scared about the potential fire, she signed for it. Luckily, Vincent could not start on the job right away and scheduled it a few days out. Once they left and she calmed down, she told me and another friend about the interaction. We told her that this was completely suspicious. She then emailed them and the finance company that she wanted to withdraw the loan application and cancelled the repair appointment. They did let her out of contract, but had the audacity to tell her that they were highly disappointed in her. Really? Anyways, she called another AC company and that company came and unclogged a drain for $200 and her AC is working great. They also inspected the breaker at her request and found that even though it was old, it was completely functional and there was no immediate risk or danger of fire. She will never use this company again

Leave it to say, that this company is now my 'go to' for A/C issues. They were responsive, and had a technician over to my place as quickly as they could. There were two other more likely choices I could have made.....both expensive and both recommended by the folks in my building. So glad I chose Henderson A/C. Prompt, and about half the cost of what I was expecting to pay. AND, honest. All aspects of the operation was professional…read more The ducts from the 1950's needed to be replaced. The technician reviewed the work the needed. The ducts were installed in the 1950's for only heat. At some point cool air from air conditioner was added. The technician suggested replacing the old tin ducts with a newer material. The suggestion saved money. The day was agreed to start. The Henderson crew arrived early and worked into the early evening. They were able to complete all they could do that day. The vents were changing from circular vents to reticular. To complete the job the sheet rock person had to remove sheet rock. A few days later when the sheet rock was removed Henderson returned to complete anchoring the reticular vents. All Was Professionally: 1. The Technician 2. The Bid Was Explained 3. I have had nothing but trouble with my HVAC system for the last 6 years. So I've seen quit a few. When our HVAC blower motor decided to take a dive, he quickly diagnosed the situation and explained the options I was faced with.
