Do not hire this company. They do an awful job! They just hurry the work and miss alot, then blow all the weeds back on a fresh cut lawn. The workers are disrespectful of the neighbors they are not mowing for and blow all their mess to their yard or driveway. They hire people that yell at each other very loudly with foul mouth and don't have any respect for who might be working in their homes or don't appreciate that noise. Tried this company out and it was a bad decision. Spring clean up was way too much, the first lawn service they charged us 3 bags when actually it was only 2 bags, the last service was the last straw when they missed mowing a portion of our lawn, just ridiculous. The customer service and customer care was just not there for this company. We canceled our account with them and found a company that will do the job a lot better than Just Lawn cause they were Just Terrible. Not recommend! read more

These guys honestly don't know how to do a lawn. They've been running extremely loud leaf blowers almost constantly for the last 3 HOURS blowing debri back and forth, and finally, just before leaving, into the street and a neighbor's yard. PLEASE: 1. Use a rake or broom. I guarantee I could have finished this job quicker manually. 2. Get quieter electric leaf blowers 3. Train your guys how to properly use blowers to efficiently do their job without making it miserable for the whole damn street. read more

HORRIBLE COMPANY! I have a pretty good sized tree that took some snow damage. I'd been working on getting it out slowly and had branches piled up near my firepit. They asked about the tree and I very clearly told them absolutely do not touch the tree because I wanted it for firewood. They mowed the lawn, did a super crappy job and didn't even get along the edges of the fence or house with a weedwhacker, and left the tree and branches exactly where they were. Perfect. I did a little more work to the tree and when they came back to fix the lawn I told them again absolutely do not touch this tree. They repeated it back to me AND THEY TOOK THE TREE OUT ANYWAYS! Not only did they cut the tree down they took all of the branches and wood I had cut from it! Sorry they took ALMOST all of my branches, they set one small branch alongside my house for me to keep and took all of the big branches and the entire tree. It was a large and very old maple tree that had grown taller than my house - I've lived here 30 years and that tree was very well established before I moved in. That's a lot of good firewood they STOLE after agreeing to not touch it! I hope they realize I can sue them for that! Honestly I should just to teach them a lesson. I am so livid right now! As an update to my previous 5 star review, disappointing but I had to cancel service last summer (in the middle of the season) for poor lawn care and horrible scheduling issues. They cut my grass too short and created patching on my lawn. They also kept missing their scheduled day so I had to go with another company. And when I called to cancel service they didn't care to ask why...it seemed they were happy to do so without knowing the reason for cancelling. Don't use these people, they will scalp your yard and don't give a damn. I think the mowers must be on drugs. They did my yard for about 3 months and then things went bad, real bad. 2 laps at zero height and then miraculously the operator realized they were scalping my yard. Called and complained and the "boss" was out of town, sent pictures and suggested an adjustment and nothing happened. Found a different service and am very happy with them. Very disappointed. After speaking with Lee and having a positive experience with him things went badly. One of the crew was ill (that happens and is not a problem), we were rescheduled for first thing the next morning. No one came all day. When we called the company to ask, Jill answered the phone and was not pleasant. She seemed bothered and said if it's not done today it will be done tomorrow. No one came the next morning. I called back to cancel. Jill answered and was pleasant with me (the homeowner). I told her we unhappy with the no shows on rescheduling and the way she treated the first caller the day before. They have a list of year round services that's guaranteed to keep you smiling the entire year. The best part is that their services are affordable yet so convenient. I am so happy with the work Just Lawns does. I have a yard that grows wild daisies in place of grass, after letting them grow all year they got a bit out of control. Come spring my lawn was filled with 3 feet high dead daisy stalks! After a lot of back and forth, Just Lawns has lost our business. Against our better judgement, we requested fall clean up service per their website and as advertised: FALL CLEAN UP: Lawn mowing at 1.5" (Shorter cut to prevent winter matting) Leaf blowing/raking (lawn, landscapes, walkways, and drives). Bagging of fall debris. Should your Fall Clean Up exceed our base price of $130.00, we will contact you before we start your service. I spoke with a member of their administrative staff and we were placed on the fall clean up list" 1. We discussed pricing per man hour - I was informed our yard would be done within 30 min because the guys are fast and wouldn't exceed the base rate. (They've been mowing our lawn all summer so they know our space.) 2. I was asked if we would like them to take the bags after clean-up - I said yes 3. Pricing or additional fees/charges for bag removal were not mentioned 4. Our fall clean up in 2015 was $185.00 and did not "exceed base pricing" at that time 5. This year fall cleanup was listed with a base price of $130.00 I was called and informed Just Lawns was on-site for fall clean-up 10/4. We discussed: 1. We expected him on Wednesday (our route day,) not Tuesday 2. We hadn't prepared for him by mowing or picking up the dog mess and we didn't want to add to our bill. He informed me it might add $30 to our bill for the mowing 3. I was not informed of any additional costs to the base price other than the $30 for mowing 4. An estimate price was not mentioned or discussed. - we were charged just under $250 total 5. Additional charges to base price was not discussed - overage charges come to just under $120 6. Price of bag removal was not discussed - we were charged an additional $155 7. Permission was not given for a $425 job. 8. Permission was given for an estimate of $130 (base price) + $30 estimate = $160-180 range. The same as 2015. 9. Just Lawns did not pick up the bags, we had to call and have them come back for bag removal = Pricing for bag removal was still not given When we called to dispute the statement on 10/17 we were told: 1. This doesn't look correct 2. The guys were not there that long for these prices - It only took them 30 minutes to do the job 3. Our credit card would be removed and we would not be charged until we sorted the charges 4. Our credit card WAS charged 11/7 with no follow-up or notification We believed: "Fall haul" of the bags was not discussed, was the $155 charge a mistake? What is the pricing based on? A base price or price per bag? If the base price for cleanup is listed at $130.00 and we were never informed of additional charges other than the noted $30.00 for mowing, why were we charged almost $425? We are not unrealistic people and we are not trying to get out of paying for a service that we requested. I feel that we have been patient and understanding through all of the ups and downs, but this is business. A conference call with management was not helpful. Not only did Just Lawns say we had no proof of the above conversations, but they "changed their tune" saying it took them 1.5 hours to complete our yard instead of 30 and that all pricing was discussed. Need I reiterate that an estimate was not discussed and in no way was approval given for a $425 job? They made no customer service offers and would not negotiate the statement. I'll leave this here as a warning to anyone looking to use their services. Once again I wish I had taken the reviews I found for Just Lawns with more than a grain of salt. PREVIOUS REVIEW SUBMITTED: I wish I had listened to the reviews and warnings from people who have used this company before. Let me preface this review by stating I found their spring clean-up (in April) and 1x lawn service (in June) just fine - the yard looked great. Let me also share that I have appreciated talking with the administrative team and my complaints are not a reflection of their personalities or professionalism over the phone. However, I have concerns and if they did a great job, I'd rave about them, so it's fair to share those red flags to save someone else a headache too: Week of June 13: We opted into the weekly lawn mowing service for $40 and were placed on the Wednesday route. We were told to expect them the following week and to just call and request to "skip" a week if the yard didn't need care. Week of June 20: They came as scheduled and the yard looked lovely - thank you. Give credit where credit is due. However, I will note our neighbor complained that though our driveways are connected, we are separated by a strip of lawn, a rock garden, and trees and they didn't appreciate having to sweep cut grass off their driveway nor having their bushes whacked down. This place is a joke. After multiple issues with billing, and scheduling the workers mowed over 3 of 4 of our bushes A couple weeks ago. (they had been planted in May without issue all summer) after going back and forth about a credit to my account (Joe was always out of the office) the gal said "your refund will be reflected on your October statement". That never happened. I inquired via email that I was still being charged. Low and behold, the mysterious Owner Joe left me a voice mail and said that he would not credit the money. And MAYBE will replace them next summer. "peonies are perennials. I'd be shocked if they don't grow back." Out of integrity, out of principle, and what was agreed upon by Joe's own office, it should have been made right. Why should we have to wait to see if our bushes grow back? We didn't cut them. Your company did. They can't grow at all Joe if your people mow over them...way to take care of your customers. Bad bussiness... I had them do lawn service in June, the service was terrible, talked to Joe several times and he had his crew come back out still terrible. They continued to charge me even after I stopped using them. So last week they charged my account $325.00 that I did not authorize them to charge. They damaged my kids' new playset, my fence, and deck posts by not using a guard on the weed whacker. It looks like someone took an ax to them. They pulled a piece of trim off my shed and mangled my downspouts. A couple years ago, they damaged a step and were quick to call me about it and repair it. This time, they wouldn't even answer my phone call or email (with pictures!) about the damage they caused. read more

This company is extremely shady. I used them to mow my lawns at a rental unit - the lawn is roughly 15' by 100' and a rectangle. I was billed $389.00 for my first month's service (when I was quoted $40 a week). The initial mow was $250.00. I asked for clarification and the person told me that it cost $60.00 a man-hour and that 2 people did my lawns and it took them 2 hours... On top of that, they charge $5 a bag, and add a fuel charge of $18.55. This lawn would take the average person 10 - 15 minutes to mow. I do not understand how 1 month of lawn service anywhere can cost almost $400.00. Don't use them!! read more

My lawn is horribly overgrown. Yes I am "that" neighbor. I had a plan. Back then front then 800 junk. Then bring lawn guys to fertilize etc the front and then back again to rehab back yard. They showed up on Thursday at 3 and left without doing anything. Came again on Friday in the morning. We had asked for afternoon as my husband works nights and this was a surprise for him. They started the front and back at the same time. Weed whacked the front did not now When asked why they did both yards they said you said back first. Can I say duh here? Yes we agree we wanted the front first but you do both? We said do the dog run in the back. They missed that. Very unhappy.
