The website is also surprisingly lacking in basic functionality. Although they offer tastings, there's very little information on how to actually order tasting boxes, making the whole process feel unnecessarily difficult. After reading a 1-star review that mentioned having to send over 50 emails to coordinate, I initially laughed. Now I realize 50 emails was probably optimistic -- you'd likely need far more just to get straightforward answers. Response to Anna: We would have understood if you had life issues but that was never communicated. Honestly, we are very low maintenance and would have used your website but it is very lacking and could use improvements. Per your website " **Tastings are $35 and include 8 of my most popular cake flavor combinations. These are not custom boxes and I don't offer custom boxes**". Great, how do I order? Are they just available to pick up anytime? You said first week of June they are available - great that is 7 days - so which days? or can i get the box any of the 7 days in that week. That is the issue each communication you get a piece of the answer and you are required to send additional emails to get more information. I had gotten several other quotes before this one and it was so easy to explain what I wanted to Anna! The others was a lot of back and forth. My baby sister was having her engagement party (wedding not for two years on account of they just bought a house so we wanted to go big). Her fiancé loves coffee and she loves rich chocolate (we are a family of five girls, the cake is a huge part). So I wanted to get a mixture of the two flavors for the cake. Everyone else had given me a run around and I was considering just changing the flavors but Anna said yes. No problem at all. Espresso cream filling with dark chocolate cake. Then the design I explained I wanted a woodsy design and this was difficult with lots of people she immediately sent me an inspiration shot and it was spot on! Just so easy and so nice!! She always responded quickly throughout the time in between if I had any questions. Just made everything so easy. She offered delivery but she lives pretty close by so I picked it up and she helped me secure it in my car gave me some tips and it went smoothly! I just can't fully explain how easy the the consultation was. I didn't have to give up any of the things I wanted , and the execution was breathtaking!! The cake was not only GORGEOUS!!! But the cake was perfectly moist, the espresso cream in the middle was the big hit, and the buttercream frosting was amazing!! Light and not too sweet! Omg everyone was talking about this cake long after the party! So beautiful. She even went out of her way and staged flowers for me even though I definitley misread our conversation where she said she doesn't provide flowers. Again, she's great!! He has been telling me about his favorite German poppy seed cake that he used to get for every birthday every year, and I've desperately been trying to find it for YEARS. No one here has even ever heard of it. I called Mits Creamy Creations to see if perhaps they could help me out. Just like everyone else in the US I've ever spoken to, she had never heard of it. However, for the first time, she offered to find a recipe and told me she was willing to give it a shot! I was THRILLED! First time ever finding someone who would even attempt this cake. She had the cake done early and I picked it up curbside. It was BEAUTIFUL! But the real test was the next day when I brought my husband the cake. He. Was. FLOORED! In tears. It tasted 100% authentic and he said it is one of the best poppy seed cakes he has ever had. It gave him a taste of home he so desperately needed during this pandemic. It meant so much to him.
