I showed up for my first appointment and waited for 45 minutes before I got up to ask what's wrong. Turns out that they just completely forgot all about me. Despite having my appointment card (in their handwriting), they just didn't seem to care at all and suggested that I refer to the "Psychology Today" website to find a different clinician. Very bizarre. I had just been discharged from an Intensive Outpatient Program (and a psychiatric hospital before that) and these people just completely ghosted me. I got the impression that the clinicians at Mindful Solutions aren't really up to the task of treating severe psychiatric disorders. Nice work, Mindful Solutions [/sarcasm]. I hope you don't treat all suicidal people like this. The blood will be on your hands.

I've been going to Dr. Berkowitz for about 7 years. He is the best Physchiatrist I've ever been…read moretoo. I suffer from anxiety, depression, and ADD. He is very kind, understanding and truly cares about me. In 2015 I lost my oldest daughter to an overdose , then in 2017 I also lost my oldest son, same way. Dr. Berkowitz helped me to get through this, he told me I'll never get over it but I've mamanged to be able to live and enjoy my life with my 3 other children and 4 granddaughters. I was on the verge of sucide! Dr. Berkowitz truly showed me compassion and sympathy. He actually took the time to talk to me and to tell me that my other children and granddaughters deserved to have a Mother that wasn't crying and sad all the time because that hurt them and they were also suffering from the loss of their siblings. I had to be strong enough to keep my family together. They needed me. Also advised me to get to grief groups, which I do go to and it helps tremendously knowing that I'm not the only one in this terrible and painful position. I love him, he is an awesome and caring Dr. He actually took the time to talk to me, when other Dr.'s just write prescriptions and rush you out. I'm very upset because he is retiring, but I'm also happy for him.I pray that I can find another Dr. that can fill his shoes, I know that I will miss him trmendously! He told me although he is retiring I can call him anytime if I needed to talk, he gave me his personal cell phone number. God Bless Dr. Berkowitz and I hope he enjoys his retirement and gets to travel a lot more. He loves traveling with his wife and friends. Raced through the sessions and stated "person" understands for self care. Not true. Filed with insurance that they were there for a session and was not. When confronted they abandoned care, which is illegal. No further treatment just never showed up again. Now my "person" is extremely confused, and lacks service. Very shady. Be careful who you let in your house and caring for your vulnerable person. They come off very friendly, yet not someone/place I would recommend.
