JV Contracting has been the repairman suggested by Lowes for initial service of my washer & dryer under warranty. My dryer leaked water during steam refresh & front load washer sounds like a bearing is going out or a rock outside of drum. 4+ attempts to stop dryer leak to no avail. On washer, im supposed to only wash half a load at a time. They will not return phone calls. They say "will call you right back" & never do. Very poor business practices & repairmen dont seem to care in their work. read more

If zero stars were an option, I would've chosen. Horrible experience, awful customer service. Impossible to reach via phone-goes to voicemail. Furthermore, don't expect this company to show up when scheduled. Many other better options to choose from, especially those who actually would like to have your business. read more

Does this company actually fix anything? Ever? Because my experience is so similar to the other reviewers' that I really have to wonder. I only have one afternoon off every two weeks, so all summer long I've gone through repeated "appointments" during which they show up to confirm that, yes, my ice maker is broken. They say they will fix it in two weeks' time, but at that point they say once again that, yup, it's broken all right. They either have to order parts, RE-order parts, or re-diagnose. Repeat ad infinitum. Like one reviewer said, I've lost track of all the times they've been here. Honestly, I sort of wish they would hire me. I'm an older woman and have no idea how to fix refrigerators, but that doesn't appear to be a requirement and I could make WAY more than I make now just pretending to fix stuff. Worst experience ever took 10 days for them to come out just to says yes it's broken. I think I might know what's wrong with it I'm going to order parts and will call you when I receive them. A week later I call them at this point I have been with out a washer for 3 weeks they tell me they can be out in 3 days. The repairman was here about an hour when he said it was fixed and that he had tested it works perfectly he said. I grab a load of towel put them in and well ok now it won't even go around in a circle it just sits there and clicks. I called them back immediately and said he needed to come back it was not working. I'm told he could come back NEXT WEEK I'm livid at that point and ask if I call Lowe's can they get someone there any sooner? I cannot even begin to list all the specifics & multiple visits...13!! But bottom line, paid for several parts that were not needed & never offered an apology or a refund. Still to this day have a brand new Non-working ice maker in my freezer & have been told by them that it was un-repairable but only after I paid for it...They could have done the right thing & refunded parts that weren't needed but unfortunately they did not. Horrible company. Lowes sent them out to fix my microwave. The tech admitted he does not work on LG. He knew nothing. He said he would just order parts and see if it worked. I called to check on the status and the receptionist is a complete and total liar. First she told me the parts were discontinued which I knew was a lie. My microwave is only a year old! I called LG and they called the appliance repair and they told LG that they could not provide part numbers because the tech did not have a diagram of my microwave and couldn't find the parts. Long story short the company sent Lowes an astronomical amount of parts to be ordered and Lowes denied it and bought me out saying it was too expensive to repair. So I get less than what I paid for the microwave, I'm out the $108 for my extended warranty and I have to pay install again for a new microwave. Oh and the little nasty attitude receptionist told me they aren't even certified to work on LG so after I told Lowes that they are being looked into because they either lied to me or to Lowes either way these people are idiots, incompetent, rude and bold faced liars! read more

This company has not cleaned up their act, had similar experience as other reviews. I really don't understand why lowes continues to use them. I had to use them due to lowes warranty on leaking dishwasher. We left sign on dishwasher that it was leaking out bottom gasket. They ordered side gaskets and said that's where they usually leak. When they installed side gaskets, did not cycle, and on first run water all over new kitchen floor. We called immediately and we're told bottom gasket wasn't available. After back and forth, lowes determined it was available. The right gasket finally arrives, but have to wait another week because of their unwillingness to accommodate customers. Then they cancelled on scheduled appointment. After days off work amounting to more than what dishwasher was worth, voice my frustration to jv and lowes. They both are unable to comprehend customer service. I give up and talk to manager at local lowes store. Thankfully she makes things right and retains a customer. Not so much for the team at jv contracting. Next time will insist on the varsity repair company. This simple gasket repair lasted 45 days before finally giving up. I think no stars or negative stars should be available for this company. read more
