Booked a 2hr Monday morning slot while I was out of the state to shoot a wedding. I flew in on…read moreSunday and then Monday morning woke up to a freeze warning and complete overcast. My models didnt feel safe driving in the freeze warning and neither did I. For a natural light studio a 2hr slot in complete overcast with a freeze warning would be useless. I contacted the studio and they refered to their 24hr policy that cannot be cancelled under ANY circumstance. I understand running a business you need your money, but as a client, I don't think I will be returning. Things happen and there needs to be SOME consideration for a last minute reschedule. Should I have looked closer at the weather? Yes, but I think shooting my brothers wedding 2 days prior would probably keep me a little too occupied to think of such variables as a possible freeze in Texas in October. Extremely disappointed in how this was handled and I wont be bringing my services to Artist Uprising from this point forward.

On the day of, they showed up early and worked seamlessly with our photographer. They deliver the films in three weeks (!!!), which is already super fast compared to others in the wedding industry since some people wait months and months. The wedding highlight video was AMAZING and everyone who's seen it raves about how well crafted and edited it is - brings me to tears every time! We also enjoy the full footage of the ceremony and speeches. Plus, the drone shots are incredible and add a nice touch to your wedding films! I was convinced at the last minute to hire one and was so thankful David was available still. We hardly even noticed he was there/videotaping us all day long. During the first look photos and bride/groom shots he worked seamlessly along side our photographer and we had a great time with everyone. We recently just received the final product of his work and it is absolutely fantastic. All of our friends and family members have been blown away by the films and are jealous they don't have videos of similar quality of their own nuptials. Well this place was a super innovative high end creative space. You can go in and complete any artistic vision you have. They can rent you the space and even supplies can be rented or purchased. From everything to business meetings, to photo shoots. I went there for an open mic night, they have these nights on the 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month. So I stopped in to check it out. So, the event did not start at 7:30, it was closer to 9 but the doors and bar did open promptly at 7:30. I happened to sit down beside one of the owners and it was nice to speak with her about this venue/business. The story was awesome, it made me want to support. You can contact for a tour, and I will allow them to share their journey. However, it did leave me wanting to support whatever I can. I spoke with Kalisha Price, and her husband Terrance Price was an awesome bartender! Torii Hunter and Katrina Hunter are business partners as well! This is a super professional environment.
