The IUOE (International Union of Operating Engineers) Local 68 Training Center is a school that is…read morebasically a stationary engineering and refrigeration school. It was initially intended just for local 68 members, but in recent years has become available to the public. The entire school is completely ran and operated by guys who have/had years of experience in the field. All the instructors are awesome, and because of their experience, they're chock full of information; you could ask these guys anything and they'll have an answer for you. The classroom experience is a lot different than most schools, since the teachers work/worked in the field it's like talking to "one of the guys", which to me makes it easier to retain information. So far, I've completed about half the courses and have received my Blue Refrigeration license, next is my high pressure black stream license. It's a real "one of a kind" school.

They also…read morehave music movement classes for the little ones starting at 6 months old.---similar I guess to Music Together. You can take a trial class but you have to pay for that session. Admin service is friendly and down to earth. There's a nice waiting area (a living room feel) where kids or adults can watch from a very large screen tv. Most of the time the TV is off and the parents are checking their phones or reading. There's also a library where you can sit and wait - a quiet area unlike the front waiting area. My daughter comes here for private piano lessons and for chorus and the instructors are keen to the children. I see tons of kids coming in to learn to play guitar and violin. There's a parking lot and it's usually packed but I somehow always get a spot so I guess there's ample parking (with help from parents just dropping off their kids and not really staying so that opens up parking spots).

What we found, was so much more than that. From the first meeting, Shelly took a very personal and individual assessment of my son's needs. Thru the academic year, she became Gabriel's advocate and supporter and helped Gabriel not only develop his math skills; but also his confidence. She went well above and beyond our expectations when it came to providing the opportunity for Gabriel to obtain the academic support he needed. She took a very personal interest in our son's needs and did everything within her power to ensure that Gabriel not only understood the material; but fully learn how to incorporate and apply it. She also helped support us through maneuvering the challenging academic school system. On one occasion, when Gabriel had a very important test coming up, she even arranged tutoring after usual hours so our son could be appropriately prepared. I cannot find the words to adequately describe the incredibly welcoming, supportive and personalized experience my family has encountered at this site. Shelly has been absolutely and simply amazing and her leadership permeates her support staff. I have never experienced this level of interest and involvement to ensure my son's success.
