All of them tasted the same, different sauces and flavors but they must put some overpowering, salty seasoning on them all. I've made a wing or two in my day and eaten plenty. Overcooked, dry and hard. Not sure if it was just a 'bad' day or what but it was enough to prevent me from ever considering paying $7 for 5 wings per order again. Definitely not the wings I remembered.

We stopped at the Weirton location, and let me tell you... Wawa could never (and I say that as a Florida resident who actually likes Wawa). Sheetz just hits different. The convenience options are better, the food feels like it's made with care, and the drink game? Superior in every category. Ordering was ridiculously easy -- the touchscreen order terminals are right up front, clearly marked, and practically inviting you to start building your masterpiece. We went classic comfort for our inaugural Sheetz meal: chicken tender wraps and a s'mores iced latte. Everything was freshly made, came out fast, and tasted shockingly good for a gas station. Sheetz really leans into that "fast-casual but make it convenient" vibe, and they nail it. The system is simple: order on the screen, grab your receipt, wait for your number to be called then pay. Smooth, efficient, and zero confusion. Plus, the store itself is clean, organized, and fully stocked. Honestly, I think I counted more snack and drink options here than in some actual grocery stores. And the gas prices? Lower than pretty much anything we saw on the Ohio-West Virginia drive. Now -- let me confess my one heartbreak. And if you know me, you know this cut deep. After ordering and paying, I went ahead and created a Sheetz account... and of course, I didn't earn any rewards for the visit. No upload-a-receipt option either. A tragedy for someone who lives and breathes loyalty programs. I'm still recovering emotionally. But even without the rewards, I'm officially a fan. In fact, we liked it so much we stopped again on the way home. When a gas station convenience store makes it onto your road trip itinerary twice, that's when you know it's elite. Bottom line: Sheetz lives up to the hype. Great food, even better drinks, fast service, tons of options, friendly employees, clean bathrooms, and the kind of experience that makes you wish they'd expand down to Florida. Until then, I'll just be jealous of everyone up north. Order up -- Sheetz has earned their five stars.
