I hired this man/company (by which I mean fraudulent thief) to repair logs on my home, and my…read moreelderly mother gave him a 50% deposit. He showed up at my cabin and had a temper tantrum that he was going to have to share the driveway/work space with another tradesman because he claimed I'd told him we would be alone (not true btw, but scary). I told him to leave and have susequently asked him to return the deposit several times. He has not, and it turns out he isn't even properly licensed to do the log repairs. He speaks disrespectfully to women, to and about his crew and the Ojibway tribe. He left two huge gaping holes in my home, taking not only the new logs he purchased with my deposit but also the old ones that were original from the 30s... Additionally, he had done some painting at my place but did property damage as well when he power washed areas he was not asked to wash. He took it upon himself to choose paint colors for my front porch. Luckily, I ended up finding someone qualified and honest to fix his mess. I'm also working with my attorney and the Alger County Prosecutor to ensure this thief doesn't take advantage of anyone else in the community.
