She replaced it at no cost, but the same older lady who gave me all the instructions yelled her right in front of me saying that they do not give away free plants. I offered to pay and they said it was fine, however, the older woman has ruined Earl May for me and I'll most certainly be shopping elsewhere from here​ on out. Visited this afternoon. Purchased a beautiful birch tree (a variety that we hadn't seen before)…read moreand beautiful iris (again, something new to us). Plants are very healthy, lush, the grounds and surrounding area are inviting and attractive. We were offered a glass of wine and they even had ice pops for children. There's a gift shop, area for sitting and just enjoying being there. Very pleasant, the staff are friendly and helpful. We weren't planning on buying a tree so we didn't have a truck, but they wrapped it in plastic wrap and were able to put it in our car and we had no trouble transporting it. Very happy with our visit.
