Unfortunately the shop location and layout is not very glamorous or glittery like the images in ones head, but maybe that would be a lot to live up to. The shop contains two sections, one is mainly just rolls of different carpets and the other is full of sample books of other types of flooring, mainly laminate and water proof. They also sell a few other house furnishings such as cabinets, tables and chairs. The guy inside is friendly and eager to help, however I think the price was a little steeper than usual at £8.88 per square metre.

The room you enter first has a wide variety of mats and carpets on display, from bathroom mats to mats for a large living room as well as carpet samples and rolls. The next room has yet more mats and carpets, samples of other flooring types, a few somewhat unusual sofas on display and catalogues from which similar sofas can be ordered. Upstairs is two rooms full of beds - mainly double with large, flat bases. The prices are varied - you could probably find a few bargains but some might be more expensive than you expected. It's the kind of place that's probably worth popping into if you're in the area and looking for carpets flooring or furniture but I can't imagine travelling a long way to visit it specifically...unless you like their very particular style of sofa (petite and patterned with quite elaborate detailing) as you might not find it elsewhere.

They dont just sell to offices though - anyone can go in and buy a piece of furniture. I bought a corner desk unit for my pc and found this shop a lot cheaper than buying from somewhere like argos and the quality is better too. They do all the normal office desks and chairs from swivel to normal and then they also do fancy desks and units and filing cabinets, etc. Their choice is quite good but if they havent what you want ask and they will try to get it for you. Their prices are decent especially for the quality of the products. The store is medium sized and very clean and tidy but there isnt enough room for wheelchair users because it is quite wellstocked. The staff are lovely and friendly and very polite.

This isn't the only item for sale though as they specialise in blinds, shutters, awnings and furniture too, all of which appears to be stylish, modern, sleek and of a moderate - high price range. If you're serious about styling out your new house/rented home then it's worth nipping in here to get some ideas and maybe even a few purchases! I'm guessing the first one is plain stupid (well stupid is as stupid does) so I got y sorry looking butt down to Red Brick Mill. What a pleasant find it is too. They pride themselves on some of the North's leading contemporary designers and their furniture is sheer class. They are home to 35 cutting-edge designers and there is enough inspiration to keep even my motor mouth quiet for an hour or so. If you want to jazz up your lounge, no problem. Slick and chic sofas sit along side funky tables. You'll even find plush flooring, cookware and gifts. It's quite pricey but sometimes money does buy taste and it shows here. Add to that four cafes to refresh those flagging shopping legs and it's worth a punt. A definite reason to venture into Batley and spruce up the house in your life.

The stuff were pretty ok but i prefer a more traditional look and i thought some of these were too modern. I did end up buying a recliner chair though which was well priced too and I am very happy with it. There was the obvious sofas, tables, chairs and other furniture - some looked quite flimsy and im not sure whether they are flat pack but they didnt impress me. The staff were friendly but too pushy. The prices werent too dear but for the quality fo some of the stuff it was overpriced.
