Not to mention extra curricular activities that the school hosts such as snowboarding, ice skating, holiday party and the list goes on. The school has a regular presence at tournaments too. My family has had much success and benefit greatly from attending this school.

When it comes to injuries and fixing my sciatica, an issue I have had over the past five years, I recommend seeing Hope. UFC Fit definitely takes pride in hiring passionate and considerate trainers. Hope has done nothing but ensure that my priorities are met and always takes the time to hear me out and make me feel a lot better! As for their customer service, I always go to Chris for an issue, one of the operations manager of the gym. I have had concerns this past year in regards to the cleanliness of the establishment and he has always made sure my needs are met. And if anyone is interested in getting a membership, Chris is the man to go to! Love this gym and would never imagine myself switching!

I also can't speak to the prices, as I didn't have to pay for anything. The lounge/waiting area was large with plenty of seating. The courts played really nicely. They weren't too fast like many indoor courts can be. They felt like true outdoor hard courts. I had to knock off a star because the instructor who was using the court after is was pretty rude. In all the years I've been playing in indoor league, it was always understood that when your time is up, you can finish the current game, and the move off the court. This guy was not only forcing us off in the middle of a game (fine, if times up times up, courtesy be dammed), but he got upset that we were taking too long to pack up our stuff and leave the area (I've never had anyone complain about people packing up their stuff by the benches before!) All in all it was a nice experience.

All he offered was he would put it towards future karate lessons which I had already informed him that my kids were unable to go to nor would I ever let this man teach my kids again. Unfortunately when I disputed it with my bank they could only refund me back the charges within the last 90 days. I asked Frank many times to do the right thing and he refused. I later found out that I'm not the only family he did this to and his studio shut down a month later so the money being put towards future karate lessons were a joke and he clearly was in financial trouble which caused him to steal money from his clients. I will be seeing him in small claims court but encourage any family that used this karate studio to check their bank statements to ensure he didn't do the same thing to them.

The pool is accessible only to Clarkstown residents and their guests, so if you're not a resident befriend someone who is. You must obtain a Clarkstown resident ID card first at the registration office at 31 Zukor Road in New City. (The pool won't simply accept a driver's license.) Rates can be either daily or seasonal for individuals or family, and are very reasonable compared to similar community pools.

This is what Nanuet Lake should have been like all along... no thanks whatsoever to my parents who thought this was some tough love version of Shangri La, albeit minus the all consuming bliss one often finds in paradise. I kid about my parents (almost) and am happy to bestow five easy stars for a childhood reclaimed. I still hate snakes.

I am also so happy that Wheeler park welcomes everyone from all over NJ (and elsewhere). Coming from out of the county will cost you a bit more, but not much. If you live outside of Union County it is $4.00 for kids ($2.00 in county) and $6.00 for adults ($3.00 in county). This splash pad has every water feature a kid could ever need - from bigger twisty water slides, to a small dragon water slide. Also, water guns that you can shoot each other with, a pirate boat, water shooting up from the ground, and much more. My kids spent a little over 2 hours here and had an absolute blast. We've been here about 3 times and it never disappoints. Just be sure to bring some sort of shade covering. There isn't much cover at the splash pad so we usually bring our small beach tent with us. There is also a dry playground in the splash pad gated area where kids can play too. They have staff who help keep the kids safe and to make sure everyone goes down the water slides safe and sound. I highly recommend Wheeler Spray Park on a hot summer day.

The staff is super friendly and down to earth. Training, in my opinion, isn't something you learn just by reading books. There are a lot of trainers out there with online certificates who really don't understand proper techniques and the mechanics of the human body - this course teaches you that. You also learn how to properly administer assessments (10 rep max, VO2 max, blood pressure, body fat measurements...) PS - you test each other so don't be shy or embarrassed it's part of the process. The teacher I took the course with is still a mentor to me and is always willing to sit after a class to answer questions - you don't get that personal 1-1 from an online service. I think everyone should take this course first, then they can take online courses/certificates to build their resume. I'm confident that once you take this course any online test you take will be a breeze. This will also boost your confidence. I remember going to my first interview at Club H and taking their test and they asked me how I knew the answers to some of the questions and they were surprised to learn about this school and the thoroughness of their curriculum. It's a great investment if you want to be a knowledgeable trainer. Stay healthy!
