Whenever I was uncertain about the answers to the questions, he responded with a tone of condescension instead of offering supportive clarifications. I tried my best to develop a good rapport with him, but unfortunately every interaction thus far with him has felt like walking on eggshells as he switches to being unkind and even sarcastic out of the blue. Driving with him was an absolute chore, because it was impossible not to practically always be in a negative emotional state due to his frequent backhanded comments and demeaning tone of voice. It was a struggle to focus on my driving since I was often upset as a result of our unpleasant interactions. I will not deny that Donald has a good understanding of driving. However, his interpersonal and communication skills are subpar, to say the least. Having the knowledge and skills is one thing, but being able to communicate them in a polite and effective manner are another. This is a warning to anyone considering SenSen driving school. Do yourself a huge favour, and save your time and money. Look elsewhere for driving lessons.

I never really recovered from flunking my road test, but Alex assured me that we could make it happen. RESULT: I passed! He somehow managed to provide me with the confidence and competence to pass and get my "N" (Class 7) He is a miracle worker. I have previously tried driving lessons with 2 other instructors, and while I had good experience, I could not understand how to drive (like finding reference point to centre my cars, understanding direction of my car, how to overcome my blindspots due to my height, understanding the car mechanics, anticipating situations to be a defensive driver, and growing the confidence behind the wheels). Being introduced to Ellen by chance was the best thing that happened! First thing first, Ellen and I get along. Ellen has a friendly demeanor to make students feel comfortable and welcomed, allowing students to open up about their concerns. Ellen is very patient and encouraging. She took the time to understand what I needed and where my weak spots are to target and mitigate in the driving process. She has her ways of helping students to understand driving, put the right checks in place to follow all the rules and be a safe driver, as well as drilling into students' mind various scenarios which could happen during driving allowing the students to become a more defensive driver. In essence, she is transferring her years of driving experience and knowledge to her students in every single lesson. She also puts in a lot of efforts to each and everyone of her students. This school took over $12,000 for my Long Haul Class 1 and they can not / will not supply my remaining pre-paid driving hours or a refund !! Since my lesson of October 12/21 and only after threatening to notify both the BBB (Better Business Bureau) and commence legal action for not allowing training of these prepaid hours I've again waited another 7.5 weeks only to receive 2 short lessons THIS IS NOT COMMERCIAL TRUCK TRAINING AT ALL I'm still owed around 60 hours, with them refusing any driving time or refund THIS IS NOT AT ALL WHAT I had PREPAID FOR, OR WAS PROMISED TO RECEIVE AS A STUDENT OF NORTH SHORE DRIVING SCHOOL !! Both instructors hate each other, bickering constantly and unprofessionally creating a lot of anxiety for students The only person that knows anything in that company is the driving instructor Jeremy He's great, but unfortunately you don't get to stay with him Judy the owner answers the phone putting on a good front, but really just doesn't care once you pay It seems to be a regular thing to have upset students, failing their road test or just walking off screaming about the lack of professional quality from their lessons in the parking lot Not only is the management neglectful and unwilling to resolve or accommodate student issues, but they just don't seem to care at all I've gotten emails from North Shore Driving Schools saying they are aware of the major staff concerns, disagreements and arguments but further stating they have no one to replace him with October 12, 2021 I was squished into a road test with very little training I showed up as scheduled, 2 hours prior to my test to do some hands on driving and pre-trip inspection Lorrie, the instructor I've complained numerous times about, refused to let me practice driving insisting that he will drive, ensuing a huge argument between us for 2 hours, just prior to my test This infuriated me, I was so mad and distracted from what I was there to do I failed my test, mainly because I never latched my back trailer door properly during my pre-trip. Then doing a break tug, examiner knew it wasn't latched properly, Dangerous move, automatic fail Because of this, I must now take the FULL MELT COURSE with zero hours credited elsewhere North Shore Driving Schools position is that you failed the driving test and we are not currently offering the MELT Program so there is nothing more we can do for you It's my position, they are the reason I failed in the first place by creating among other thing a hostile training environment. Secondly why can't I still train with my pre-paid driving hours or have them refunded ? A further $12,000 later, I've signing up for MELT at a different, much more organized MELT Driving School I will be starting in the New Year Truth be told they have no qualified instructors to work with them to let the crappy one of two go It's my opinion the trucks are both unsafe and in need of serious repair This is on top of all the other things I've mentioned going on at North Shore Driving Schools From what I understand they were again getting evicted from their parking lot and very close to bankruptcy NEEDLESS TO SAY THEY ARE FOR SALE Good luck with that !!
