Several friends and families had recommended the company based on their positive experiences, so I reached out hoping to receive an estimate for the work needed in my home. During my initial contact, I was immediately asked whether the project would be covered by insurance. I was told that the company typically does not prefer to take on insurance-related projects because their pricing may exceed what insurance will cover. I still requested that someone visit my home, assess the basement, and provide a quote. I was informed that someone would follow up with me. Instead, I later received a text message stating that Capstone was declining the job. Because I had been referred by previous customers, I asked whether the owner could contact me directly. I was then asked by text who had referred me, and I provided the names along with photos of their recent work. The following day, I was asked to send photos of my basement and the remediation work, which I did. After that, I received another text message stating again that the company was declining the job. I was disappointed that I was never provided an opportunity to receive an in-person assessment or a written quote, and I was not able to speak directly with the owners. All communication took place through text messages. Based on the interaction, it appeared that assumptions were made about my ability or willingness to pay outside of insurance coverage before anyone discussed the project with me in detail. Unfortunately, this experience left me with concerns about the level of customer service and professionalism I received. While others may have had positive experiences with Capstone, my experience was disappointing, and I hope future customers receive clearer communication, a fair opportunity for assessment, and more professional follow-up.

****BEWARE OF SOUTH SHORE FLOORING**** We ordered two Hansgrohe brushed nickel shower kits from…read moreAmazon thinking they were coming directly from Hansgrohe. When we realized that only part of the order was sent and what was sent was a much less expensive chrome finish, we realized that the products were actually sold by South Shore Flooring who is impersonating Hansgrohe on Amazon. I was told by, Hansgrohe, who have been incredibly helpful with this, that South Shore Flooring is not actually a Hansgrohe distributor. We called South Shore Flooring and the sales manager refused to talk to me (first sign of fraudulent business practice). A customer service rep from South Shore Flooring, Andy, has told me various reason why they won't exchange the wrong items they sent me for what I ordered, from Amazon won't let them (a lie), to "there is just nothing they can do". The reality is that they could do a lot including be an honest business, but it is clear that they are not honest and will rip you off if they think they can. Not only will they not exchange for the items I actually ordered, but they also haven't offered to refund me the several hundred dollar difference. This is probably the worst customer service experience I have ever had and the problem was their fault. I am simply asking them to fix their mistake. ******AVOID THIS COMPANY*****
