Samantha & TJ are terrific and have created a great environment for dogs. Our 7 month old Bernese Mountain Dog named Maisy was TOUGH GOING for us to train. We have owned many BMD's in the past and my husband always trained them. But Maisy was challenging...and getting bigger and stronger by the day. We found K9 Team Training on line and met Samantha and saw the facility. Then we decided to send Maisy for the 21 Day Training Camp. SO HAPPY WE DID! Maisy is doing great! And so are we! Picked up my buddy, Tony G from K9 Team Training after a 10 day stay. He was very happy and healthy and apparently had a great time! Tony generally does not like to hang out with bigger dogs.. However, with Samantha's intuitive guidance, Tony ended up playing with all of the dogs during his stay including 2 boxers and a very eager German Shephard puppy! Huge progress! I'm sure this place would work for many dogs, but not all. We left our almost 2 year old Rescue Mixed Breed friendly, energetic and occasionally bossy dog to board for a few days. Upon pick up, we were told that she would not be invited back because she did not play well with the other dogs. I have no problem with receiving the message that our rescue dog did not do well with others; however, I found the way this message was communicated strange. When I expressed a wish to have been told before the pick up about the difficulties our dog encountered socializing with other dogs, the owner was extremely defensive, even accusing me of "trying to tell me how to run my business." We received a final email. "We hope to see you and your furry friend again soon!" The facts are our dog is not welcome to return so we are looking elsewhere for help our rescue dog to be more sociable. The owners are not sensitive to the needs of the owners of the dogs they deem will not suit their facility. As one of those owners, we would have preferred to hear something more genuine like "Sorry we are unable to accommodate your furry friend in out stay and play facility, we hope you still enjoyed your stay. Best of luck to you!" This review is for other owners/dogs who were not accepted. read more

Samantha did a wonderful job training us & our Golden Aussiedoodle puppy, Duncan! She helped with all the puppy unwanted behaviors as well as more advanced obedience. We did not even have walking off leash as a goal and were delighted when that became a reality. We highly recommend Samantha for both training and boarding. We met Samantha when she came to our house to train our very exuberant lab puppy. She was awesome, so we decided to utilize her boarding facility for both our dogs. We've never boarded them before but she and her husband TJ were very tolerant about our anxiety and did everything to ensure that the girls had a good experience. K9 did a great job with our pet, Cleo, over the Christmas holiday; it was our first experience, for 8 days total, and we're already booking our next visit. Cleo came home happy and beautifully bathed and clean. I also really appreciated the careful communication on all booking details and the phone calls to confirm our appointment and to make sure we knew all the requirements for drop-off and pick-up. One small suggestion: It would be great if K9 offered photos of pets upon request; we were away for more than a week and it would have made me happier if we could see Cleo from time to time.
