Larie and her team are absolutely amazing. I travel a lot and always try to find a hotel or…read moresituation where I can bring my beloved little chi, Theo. Unfortunately, while making last minute reservations for a weekend wedding, I was unsuccessful at finding a dog friendly hotel. The next option was to find somewhere where I could board him; I wasn't too excited especially since I had only boarded him once before and for an hour after dropping him off I couldn't stop crying. This experience was completely different. From the first moment I spoke with Larie on the phone I knew that she was going to take really good care of Theo. She gave me her cell phone number and offered to meet me at the bed and breakfast I was staying at even though I was arriving late at night. After handing Theo to her she and her co-worker told me they were going on a walk with him which showed me she really knew how to handle dogs; especially ones that are prone to separation anxiety and stress like my little guy. I headed to the rehearsal dinner after-party and actually ran into Larie still out walking and bonding with Theo half an hour later. Amazing! He was glad to see me, but clearly comfortable with Larie and I was doubly relieved and reassured that this was going to be a great experience for Theo and I. Since Theo fell within the allowable weight limit, Larie boarded him at her own house with her (much larger) pups. She sent me text updates and told me to call her anytime with any concerns or even to check in. When my boyfriend and I went to pick him up, he was happy and very relaxed running around with her pups. It was clear that he'd had plenty of exercise and love. I am so grateful for her amazing care of Theo and I only wish that we lived closer Theo can continue to benefit for her professional and loving boarding services!

We hired Beth to help with our pup, Titus, who has hit his teenage overly-rambunctious stage. As…read morehe's 120lb+ and mainly muscle, that's a serious handful. She asked a few initial questions during the initial phone consultation and agreed to come over and meet him and see what could be done to calm him down and deal with the specific behaviors we were concerned about (jumping up on strangers, growling at other male dogs, pulling on the leash.) She came over and immediately connected with Titus. She seems to have an intuitive understanding of what's going on in a dog's mind just by watching how they move and where they're placing their attention, and it's incredible to watch her connect with the animal. (I'll even admit to feeling a little jealous of watching them play together, tbh.) We learned some basic exercises to modify his behavior and were told, a little sternly, that he needed at least twice as much exercise as we were giving him to keep him physically and mentally calm. Fortunately, she also showed us some "brain toys" we could use to keep him moving and thinking to make up some of the gap. Titus is showing improvement already, and I'm confident that when Beth comes over for her follow-up visit she'll be pleased with how we've used what she showed us. Thank you so much for your help.

Beth gets it that owners want trust out of a petsitter. My cat, Walt, is both elderly and he has a tendency of hiding, so there were the challenges of finding him and administering his meds. I also appreciated that she took in my mail and sent some shots of my buddy relaxing on the couch. He seemed to be enjoying himself while I was away!

I recently saw negative reviews so I wanted to add in- Dr. Weckesser and Dr. Shulman are fantastic!…read more They are always understanding and validating when I have a concern, even if based in anxiety. When my one cat passed and my anxiety was heightened regarding my other cats, they were understanding. They take time to explain things in a way that makes sense. No- the office is not "money hungry." Plenty of times, I have called and asked if certain things are worth coming in for or if can be treated at home. The office will call back in a timely manner, and advise me after consulting with a doctor or tech. They have helped my pets and I avoid many trips (financially great but my guys now hate car rides) Even after moving, I kept coming here. Sure, my cats don't like the car rides but their integrity, skill, and character are worth it. Thanks for everything RAH!

Talk about a new world! For the first time, my cat wasn't feral in the foyer or with any of the vets and staff at Rhinebeck Animal Hospital. The level of caring, compassion, knowledge, and experience by every one of the staff at Rhinebeck Animal Hospital is stellar. I realized what a sh*tshow Community Animal Hospital is in comparison! Customarily, my cat has to be sedated and contrary to Community Animal Hospital, it didn't take 1-2 days but 1-2 hours to recover. There's a lot more, especially paying 67% less on fees - the estimates were right on target unlike Community Animal Hospital which changes estimates on a whim. Most importantly, I was informed that my cat's lab work revealed a reversal of his kidney disease in the one year since he's been a patient at Rhinebeck Animal Hospital. That's not only a miracle, but a testimony to them!
