When I retired from AF. I came back to San Antonio. I kept watching Fox29 as I believe them to be less biased, not show political personal preference. Today day after Pres Trump was re elected Ashley Sutton reported describing Pres Trump as 1st felon to be elected. Why would you show your bias, not be mature, professional & accept voters majority, sweep. In same day interview Salazar win, with smiles, syrupy obvious Democrat lean. So disappointed in her unprofessional report. Lost my respect for the immaturity. I thought Fox 29 was fair & better than mainstream stream media vitriol. worst possible programming of any Fox affiliate anywhere in the country. When you look at the listings for Fox you can count on it being different than what the rest of the country will be seeing. I came to pick up a GC, there was an officer outside and she had to let me in. I just said hi I'm here to pick up a card, and she let me in. I'm sure she is there for safety reasons but that kinda defeats the purpose bc really anyone can say they are there for something and no Id was checked nor they didn't lk walkie to the front and make sure they had me on a list to pick up a prize. I would just suggest checking ids and walkie talkie the front receptionist to confirm. read more

There are actually two stations in this building, Fox29 and News4SA. In the morning they have the best traffic reporting we have in town. Kens5 and KSAT is reporting every little fender bender while these both station just include traffic that is imported on our major highways or major streets. I really don't need to know about every fender bender in ever little neighborhood. The news is mixed with national news and local news. Ones the week they have a workout day were they show different kind of work outs, really nice. Having local people talk about this game that are going on is also always nice. I think for the news these both stations are the best you can find in the morning. read more

The home of the Simpsons! Their news is a little on the sensational side, it's always about who got shot, or who ran their car into the side of someone's house. Most of the news is local fluff pieces, with a few minutes dedicated to national and international news. Most of the style of the news is rather laid back, with a lot of on-screen chatter between the anchors. The news doesn't go on the regular times, so if you keep odd hours, you might be able to catch the news on here. Most of the shows are good on here, with some real lousy ones in there too. I'm not tearing out the knob from my television set quite yet. read more

My husband began watching Fox News first a few years ago, since it is one of the few morning shows that starts early enough (5-9am) for us to catch before heading to work. They show the traffic and weather regularly through out the show, which is the real reason that we continue to watch. It is peppered with the usual local news silliness, but even when they get a little off line it is the type of flavor I enjoy. I also love that they have a mixture of local and national news and their "puff" pieces regularly feature animal rescue groups, charity runs, and other events of interest in the area. If I had to pick something gets on my nerves it is the "What the!?" piece they do, mostly because the mics always cause feedback when they shout the tag line and their contractual obligation to cover American Idol and X-factor "news" - but those are minor negatives. They also have a 9-10am show, but it is less my style - tends to be very "View" in the way it feels, although occasionally they carry stories I find interesting. Of course, I can only catch it on days when I am home anyway. I can't comment on their evening news shows, but I do appreciate the morning offerings and can say that I would highly recommend them over other morning news offerings, especially if you need to be leaving before or around 6am. read more

We jokingly refer to this news crew as the JV team. It works for us because of the 9pm time slot but we usually end up watching the 10 o'clock news as well. I always feel like there is a market progression when it comes to mass media. The people who get there start in the Valley get there shot in SA if their good and then on to Houston or Dallas if they succeed here and then on to LA or NY and so on and so on. This station seems to house the ones who don't move on. The lineup changes every year or so except for a few mainstays and the field reporters / weather person / traffic person are overly animated or predictable. It's kind of like a UHF news team. I have always appreciated watching the news and information on this Station because I always felt it was fair and informative, however, this past week the station ruined their reputation by reading a statement from their parent Company, Sinclair. They attacked all other TV stations that are not from Sinclair, as fake news and spewed Donald Trumps opinion about the Nationwide News Media other then Fox News, as being fake news. I will no longer follow your station and hope other Law Abiding followers and the station Advertisers to do so as well. As an American who believes in a Freedom of the Press and Freedom of expression, I will not follow a station who is against the rights of opposing opinions in the news media. read more

Fox News First is very childish and completely off topic. Monica Taylor and Michael Valdes make it very difficult to get the news I need to know before I head out the door due to their back and forth joking and banter. It is so frustrating to wait for them both to calm down in order to move on with the news. It seems most stations and morning shows are going for a lighthearted, fun sort of environment where there is a combination of fun and news (ex. Good Morning America, Today show, etc.) Fox News misses the mark and completely fails in this department. The show after that Daytime @ Nine is just as bad, my recommendation just move on to KSAT. read more

Way less sensationalistic than the Fox station in Austin. Useful (if basic) news. It follows the cheap Sinclair formula (i.e. not enough newscasts, good weather reports, basic sports, and conservative counterpoints not seen on more conventional tv stations). WOAI has about the same news (they have the same owner and broadcast out of the same building), but I'd rate Fox 29 higher than 4 because Fox News is far less odious than NBC's news is. But 29 and 4 pale next to 5 and 12. read more

Cleto Rodriguez is NOT funny and the spot he's featured in should be eliminated! I love all the other guys & gals but I turn the sound off when he comes on. Recently he didn't know he was shown but the sound was off - he had this disgusted look on his face and walked off.....entirely too full of himself and no benefit to Fox at all!! read more
