The food is not authentic. Ordered the tempura udon, the beef ramen, the seafood ramen, mixed tuna/salmon sashimi plate, teppanyaki duck, and the agedashi tofu. The agedashi tofu is not even agedashi tofu, it's just normal fried tofu you'd find in any supermarket and they don't use the correct starch if it is even made in house. The tofu also doesn't have close to enough dashi flavor and it's basically closer to water. none of the Ramen was Even presented well all of the seaweed was just thrown on top. The egg was already under the broth when we got it, and there were just sesame seeds sprinkled all around the top of the broth. for the beef Ramen, the beef was unevenly cooked. It was under seasoned, and there was a horrible attempt at whatever sear was on it and in one of the two beef Ramen that my party ordered there was a piece of plastic inside of the broth, the service was probably the best thing about the meal as they refunded one of the beef Ramen when I had showed them the piece of plastic, the ambience is nice. It looks like a lot of Japanese decorations, which I guess draws in people who think they are getting anything related to authentic Japanese food the tuneup part of the sashimi plate that we ordered also had scales on some of the pieces of tuna, which I guess isn't enough to receive a refund because they didn't.

    Sushi conveyor.

This is a good place for the all-you-can-eat sushi noon buffet with a nice sushi conveyor (three trains in fact). The main value proposition of the Kabuki resides in the possibility of eating plenty of good sushi for a flat fee. Because of the popularity of the formula, you are sure that the sushi are "fresh". Expect to be squeezed while sitting and don't count on diligent service. Kabuki is a (Chinese) factory so let's not be too demanding. The warm buffet is an acceptable alternative if there is no more place at the sushi buffet. Sushi are also available but the range is more limited. Its higher price makes it less attractive compared to the sushi formula. Refrain from choosing something else than a buffet formula. It's not worth it.

All you can eat sushi train

Wife and I went to Kabuki to mow down on their all-you-can-eat sushi train. That's right, unlike your typical conveyor belt sushi joints, Kubuki's is actually on a little train. I did enjoy the fact that there are actually two trains that travel in opposite directions, so no matter where you sit you have an opportunity to get in on the good stuff...which leads me to the food. Marketed all-you-can-eat SUSHI, you'll be a bit annoyed by the fact that well over half the dishes on the sushi train are, well, not sushi. There's dumplings, both steamed and fried; meat skewers, squid rings, greens, fried rice balls, fried potato balls, ramen wrapped and fried shrimp, breaded shrimp, noodles, and other things I'm not sure how to describe. The sushi that does go around is pretty uninspired, bland rolls. There's nothing special about any of them. After well over a hour into service, we did see what appeared to be an avocado roll, but it looked pretty sad. There's also miso soup included, but you have to ask for it. If the couple next to us hadn't, we'd have never known. There's also sashimi advertised, which was nothing more than a couple small salmon slices. It's easily the best thing on the train, so when you see it grab it before they don't make any again for an hour. Last, and maybe least, is their "ice cream." Advertised on the menu as including ice cream, the dessert train, when it rolls though, is nothing more than some fruit, a mini crepe with a little French flag in it, and frozen cream puffs. Sure, they're okay, but it isn't really "ice cream," like advertised. All in all the sushi train at Kabuki was just so so. Don't think I'd go back.

This japanese restaurant is incredible. It has many different types of meals (menus, little food train, sushis, fish, meat,...) and it really tastes amazing! (The menus are REALLY amazing). Been there 2 times and I have nothing bad to say about this place, they have a great sense of professionalism and you can even sit at tables where the chef cooks your meal right in front of you (wonderful hibachi service). I highly recommend this restaurant and I'm sure you will have a good time there!

Every time I go the food is wonderful. I think people that give this place a bad review must dine in Japan on a regular bases!

This was good for what it is ... Fast food sushi. It was fresh and clean. There was no wait, and not expensive for sushi.

We visited this place based on the many positive reviews, but unfortunately, our experience was…read morevery disappointing. We tried calling several times to make a reservation, but no one answered, and we couldn't find any online booking system. It left us wondering--how do people even manage to get a table here? When we arrived, we saw an empty table with no reservation sign on it. However, the chef saw us, came over, and abruptly said, "We're full!" before we could even ask a question, then walked away. One of the staff members also completely ignored us, which felt quite rude and unwelcoming. No matter how good the food might be, this kind of attitude makes us not want to return. They seriously need to improve their reservation system and reconsider how they treat potential customers.

I have been here 3 times now already and the third time has only confirmed the first impression I…read morehad when I first came here. This place is for me the best sushi place as far as quality/price is concerned. The quality of the sushi is just exquisite and definitely equals that of some other restaurants who offer the same freshness and variety but for double the price. Seriously. Nevertheless, it is not only about the sushi. The restaurant offers a separate menu with the house suggestions presenting different kinds of Japanese appetizers that are really delicious and so ... Japanese. The best way to enjoy these appetizers is to order a bunch of them and share them. The last time I went there, my friends and I had the squid carpaccio (in a citrusy juice), agedashi tofu (fried to perfection), eggplant in miso sauce (I'm not a big fan of eggplant, but this dish was a game-changer), layered eggplant with beef (very tasty) and an assortment of tempura (not greasy at all and crusty until the end of our meal). We wanted to order the o-toro (fatty tuna) sashimi as well, but they don't have that one on Mondays, which means I will have to come back. But I don't see that as a problem, :). After our appetizers, we continued our meal with some sushi and sashimi. As already mentioned earlier, exquisite. As far as the place itself is concerned. Well, let's say it makes you feel in a small sushi joint in Japan. The place is small - but cozy -, so reservation is recommended. There is no AC, but only a couple of fans working in times of warm weather, definitely gives it a local feeling. On some days, it can be filled with Japanese people who really know how to enjoy their food, which makes you really feel as if you were in Japan for a little bit. Another nice factor is that you can order a bottle of shoju and leave it there with your name if you weren't able to finish it, so you can continue the next time you come again. Neat, isn't it? So, to conclude, there is definitely nothing that would stop me from going there again. Ok, I forgot to mention that the waiter can come off as a little bit arrogant. However, once you start chatting with him, he is unstoppable. :). The chef on the other hand doesn't say much, but I blame that on the fact that he's very concentrated behind the sushi bar, so no big deal. Can't wait to go there again.
