I had the chicken kabob and it was magnificent!! I have never tasted meat so flavorful and tender. It was magical. I also had a side of rice, also good.

Love this cosy restaurant.. Everything about this restaurant was almost perfect. The flavour of the dishes, the hospitality, vibes, etc were all good. The waitress was super sweet! She's putting so much effort into keeping the customers happy! My favourite dish is the Qabuli! The way it's cooked, is just the way my mom makes it... So yummy!!! Also the decoration of the restaurant is cute.. They used the afghan map, some traditional afg dresses&shoes as their decoration.. Thumbs up for that! Very clever! There are couple of negatives tho.. 1. When you order your food, you normally get something small like a starter to eat.. Like some bread with dippings.. Or something else. You don't get anything here.. Just your drinks. 2. If you order Kebab, there's no naan (bread) included to that dish, which is very unfortunate.. Because normally they should give you bread along with kebab. 3. I've also had the Mantu (beef dumplings), which was good. But it's actually made with a topping of chickpea.. Which I missed in this lovely dish.

The only Afghan restaurant currently open in Prague, Kabul offers delicious food with the feel of a home cooked meal. I've eaten here twice so far and if you enjoy unique, small businesses, you'll appreciate Kabul. The dining atmosphere is warmly decorated with layers of Afghan rugs and brightly patterned cushions as well as items like clothing, art and instruments originating from Afghanistan. This is the real deal. There's even a small flat screen playing continuous music videos for mainly middle eastern artists, both classic and contemporary but at just the right volume to allow for easy conversation. The food is priced fairly and served in good portions. Even though my table had several orders they were really quick bringing them out and the wait staff is unusually attentive, polite and friendly. Ultimately Kabul is a comfortable, unique restaurant serving quality food. I'll definitely be returning. There are loads of restaurants in Prague to choose from, but Kabul restaurant stood far beyond my expectations! It has that authentic afghan feel to it from the food and the sitting style to it. The food was really good, I ordered the karai which had kofta kebabs with egg, onions, so delicious! The food is reasonably priced. The staff and owner are polite and friendly and has a welcoming atmosphere! Would definitely eat again!

My friends and I have been traveling all around Europe for over a week now in France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and we just arrived in Prague tonight. This was one of the BEST meals I have had so far on my entire trip. The menu was extensive and interesting and had tons of vegetarian options and meat eater options. We were so tired and hungry and we got there right as they were closing and they stayed open late just for us! They were so kind and I seriously can't say enough about how incredible the food was. Please eat here, you won't regret it!!

We were looking for a menu that had zero schnitzel on it. Kabul delivered. The food had a great twang to it, but was not overly spicy. I'm not sure the wine list is descriptive enough to know which is the right one to have with Afghan food, do stick to beer or water unless you really know your Czech wines. I had the lamb cutlet. Tasty, but my spouse had the one of the two pasta dishes, which was super tasty.

This place is a hidden treasure! I would give them 10 stars if I could. This is true homemade Afghani food. The amount of time that I was in Prague, I have pretty much tasted everything. The ambiance is very good. The food is incredibly tasteful. Let me not forget the great hospitality and service. I will definitely keep going there. read more

The lamb cutlets were as good as I have had. My wife enjoyed her lamb kabobs. After finishing our meal, we asked for baklava. A party of 4 that was seated after us left and we were the only remaining customers. 20 minutes later, we took the check and left without dessert. If the service had been better, I would recommend this place. read more

Sometimes you just want to try all the different cuisines a city has to offer. And this is a prefect example of Prague, it has a Kabul restaurant which caters to Afghan cuisine. I absolutely adored the seating arrangement of this place with comfy cushions on chairs etc. They have photos of landscapes and people of Afghanistan. The food itself is on point with the best kabobs this type of cuisine has to offer. I also tried their bread which was made in house and amazing. We also tried a lentil dish which didn't disappoint and was a good option when your getting heavier dishes like kabobs to eat. I was happy with all our selections. The service was a tad bit slow however the server was good in recommendations and conversation. All in all, I would go back if I lived in Prague. ~ read more

In a pouring rain we rain downstairs to Kabul's Afghanistan restaurant. Wow, what a great find. We were warmly met by the owner and found the atmosphere well pleasing. Started off with lentil soup and Naan bread. Soup was absolutely wonderful and made me anticipating the main course. Soup had good flavor and served hot. Main entree chicken Kabob served on the skewer with basmati rice. Not sure what I enjoyed better, the rice or kabob, but a awesome match. Cleaned plate afterwards. Unfortunately no baklava today but no worries. 27 years in business and well deserved! read more

I visited Prague several times and always ate at this place but never placed a review. They moved a few blocks from where they were to a larger site and lost most of their customers. The new site is at Krocinova 5, praha and the tripadvisor address is incorrect. The food here is very reasonably priced and the owner Mr Hasibs wife is the cook. The food is cooked with love and it is really good quality Afghan food. For anyone who has never eaten Afghan food and loves a really well cooked meaty dish or a nice kebab steak then you would not regret your visit here. Most main course prices range from 170 to 250 krona. Infact, this is one of the best places i have eaten at in prague and the food is delicious. read more
Loved this place. We love Afghani food and this was amongst some of the best we've had. Started with the bolani which was incredible (and huge! - this seriously could be an entree all itself). We ordered some mantu which was very good as well. Wife ordered some kabobs which she liked as well. Service was very friendly and the ambiance is very Afghani which was cool to see. Prices were reasonable as well. Would definitely recommend this place. read more

After reading the reviews online, I was excited to see for myself what this restaurant had to offer. It did not disappoint one bit! The interior was beautifully designed, I believe from the owners various travels around Afghanistan, there were beautiful carpets and fabrics, the chairs and cushions well placed giving the place a very cosy and at home feel to it. I felt like a guest, not just another customer come to eat! Now, the food - wow. Freshly baked afghani bread to go with delicious kebabs, fragrant rice dishes and mantu; a dish of parcels of mince and fresh herbs with yoghurt dressing - so dreamy, oh and not to mention the daal! I have tried Afghan cuisine before but this experience has by far been different. I understand why people have raved about Kabul Restaurant, the experience from the interior, to the atmosphere, our welcome and of course the food has all been warm and authentic! Thank you, and I hope to come again :) read more

I came to this restaurant yesterday. I was alone however the food made me forget that. It's one of the yummiest Afghani restaurants that I have tried recently. I've tried one of the restaurants in New York which was really good but comparing Kabul Restaurant WIN thank you I will come back for sure read more

Excellent service and wonderful food! A little off the main tourist line so earns it local quality and warmth. The lamb and chicken kebabs are so succulent that it will cure you of your homesickness for home cooked meals. read more

Prior to visiting Kabul restaurant, my family and I read its reviews on Yelp and TripAdvisor and we had really high expectations. We are happy to say our expectations were exceeded! The food was absolutely delectable and very authentic. We had the variety courses for six people, and we enjoyed every bite of the various delicious Afghani dishes. We are originally from Afghanistan so we were happy to find a beautifully decorated restaurant, rich with culture and quality Afghani food. I highly recommend Kabul restaurant to anyone looking for a delicious and memorable meal in Prague! Not to mention, the owner and his wife are absolutely fabulous. They are very kind and make you feel right at home. Dining at Kabul restaurant was a very nice experience for all of the members of our family. read more
