I've been seeing Dr. Kacmar for about 20 years, and I wouldn't trust my health or my family's health with anyone else. He's the best.

Dr seems ok/ good. Staff is horrible. Nurse was supposed to call me explaining a false negative and refused. I was told to come in and see doctor. I went in with 102 fever. Already has a negative test at home. I was told they will do one. That came back negative. I told them I would be out of town the next week, they kept calling for me to come back. The snippy medical assistant said the nurse/office manager (who I asked to call me) told her to talk me and make appointment. I was told I didn't have the test at the right time, I had 102 fever, that turned into a horrible cold, runny/stuffy nose. Everything I found said covid doesn't have a cold/runny /stuffy nose. read more

I was dismissed as a patient today after several years of being patients of Dr Kacmar because I disagreed with the receptionist who told me I needed to pay them an out of pocket. I disagreed because I knew I had met my out of pocket. The girl got ride with me and I told her I refused to be talked to like that. I called my insurance to verify I was correct and I was. When I called back to let them know I was on hold 10 mins then told I am being dismissed as a patient for being combative. I asked to speak to the office manager Shannon and was told she was busy and the message was coming from her. How unprofessional! Watch this places billing closely because they will charge you money that you don't even need to pay. Good riddance. What a shame because the doctor is great he just has a staff that lacks knowledge and professionalism. read more

I want to share my fantastic experience with Dr. Lawrence Kacmar and his staff. once again he made me feel very safe, comforted, and answered all my questions. he gave me his full attention and expertise for my well being. His front desk receptionist, Ann went the extreme measures to answer all my questions and get me the information I needed right away. she was professional, kind, and caring. every time I go I always get this outstanding service from everyone, especially Ann, and dr Kacmar. even the woman drawing my blood took pride in what she was doing. An at ease Practice, the doctor is very easy to talk to. The most important thing about seeing Physician is the ability to communicate with them. Dr. Kacmar is the best. He had an excellent bedside manner. Never judgmental or pretentious. read more

I called and asked for a doctor appointment. When I went to my appoinmtment a physician assistant showed up. I first thought she will be passing the info to the doctor and I would see the doctor later on which is normally happens in a normal world. When I asked about the doctor she said he is out of the office today. Ridiculous!!! I didn't waste my time and money to come to see an assistant!!! They should have told me over the phone that they would be making an appointment with an assistant not the real doctor. They are deceiving. The appointment was useless. I just paid somebody to listen to my medical issue. I could have talked to a priest for free! I told the story to the doctor who referred me to this place. She called them up and asked them to call me for a follow up. They never reached out to me. Stay away from this place if you respect yourself and your time. read more

I've seen Dr. Kacmar for the past 5 years. I've respected him, admired him and trusted him. That all changed tonight. My appointment was tonight at 6:30 pm and I waited in my car (office rules) until I was given an exam room and allowed to enter the office at 7:10 pm. This long wait seemed to be a usual occurrence lately, but I dealt with it and continued to keep seeing him despite this being the 3rd time I had waited over an hour to see him. I understand it's Covid times and I understand he is busy. I entered the clinic and was put in a room. At around 7:40, I opened the door and asked the staff if he was coming into my room soon. Reminder-my appointment was at 6:30. I was told I was the next room and I said thank you and shut the door. Dr. Kacmar entered at 7:45 (again my appointment was at 6:30pm) and from the minute he entered the room, he was on fire. He started to tell me how he didn't have time for this, and and that he was not "f*%#*%!" outside smoking and taking a break, but instead he was "f*%#*%" saving lives. His words exactly. I looked at him, shocked, and apologized and he said he needed a minute. He LEFT the room and came back in and told me not to "f*%#*%" come back if I was gonna be so rude to his staff. He told me his staff had told him I was rude to them and I wasn't welcome if I was gonna "f*%#*%"act like that. Stunned (and now crying because I was so shocked) I apologized again and he continued to berate me and humiliate me. He did not accept my apology and as I left, I went up to the staff members and apologized if I came across rude. I think they felt bad for me because they told me I wasn't rude. I will never again set foot in this office. I have never been so degraded, so belittled and so humiliated. I have recommended several people to this office and will make sure they know what happened. It is beyond unprofessional to SWEAR at a patient, let alone leave the room and humiliate them in front of the office. I've lost all respect for this doctor. read more

Shared concerns with the staff regarding direction they had given me about picking up my prescription. I was met with a combative rep who didn't understand why i was upset that I drove 45 minutes following the instructions they gave. I was hung up on by the rep then lied to by a supervisor about who it was that hung up on me so that I could submit a complaint in writing. She gave me a bogus email to write my complaints to which I've still received no response. When I was able to pick up my prescription, the office proceeded to leave my medical information and prescription (a controlled substance) taped to the outside of the door for other patients to access, violating multiple hippa laws. Yes, I took photos and recorded this heinous act! My protected personal information may have been compromised as proper precautions were not met to ensure this was delivered into the right hands. I should've known better than to stay when they ignored multiple requests and inquiries regarding my treatment, was advised against the vaccine and the misdiagnosis of my husbands thumb injury as a sprain when it was actually fractured. Long wait, didn't get proper medication For issue in back and got a muscle relaxer which seems to have made my head throb even more. Called back a few days later and I get a call back about 3 hours later. And the first thing "Leah" says is i saw your review I'm so sorry you felt that way. Didn't ask about my medical problem at all but had no problem bringing up the review. Not a good place to go unless you want long waits and medication that is not appropriate for your issues . -PA - Leah Michelli will not give you the medication you need until you get an MRI or CT scan . She just insists on going to the hospital. Worst doctor visit I have ever had . I mean a PA visit. Haven't been to the doctor in 2 years and they cant even treat me with respect or the neccessary medication to get through my pain until I can afford an MRI/CT scan. I had my appointment in March'17 for annual routine exam and have waited to write this review hoping they will fix the problem before. I didn't even see the doctor. A nice lady, I can't remember her name but I believe she was a nurse, did my exam and asked bunch of questions. I understand it's a routine exam but he, the doctor, could have at least introduced himself. I asked the lady if they could run some tests for allergies and vitamin deficiencies during the exam. For some tests she wasn't sure if the insurance would pay for, so she called the office manager. The office manager, Shannon Keith, comes to the room and assures me that the bill for those type of tests will not be over $100 out of pocket which I was fine with. She also assured me that if I receive a bill over $100, I should contact her immediately and she'll have it corrected. I've received a bill for $456 and contacted her right away. She again said she'll have it taken care of. A month later, no sound from her, I contacted her again for an update. They supposedly resubmitted it, but a few days later I receive another bill for the same $456! I don't know how many times I emailed her for this, but last time I told her this should not go to the collections just because she can't have it sorted out. It's been 4 months and this is still not taken care of and off course she's now unresponsive. I'll update this review if anything changes either way... read more

My husband and I have been patients here for at least 10 years now. Dr. Kacmar and his staff are thorough, caring and smart. He's always been in tune with my sometimes admittedly demanding medical needs and was very supportive and helpful for a 3 day stint I had in the hospital last year. The office staff is unprofessional, it doesn't seem like the have any medical training. The new MD looks at you like he has no idea what you are talking about in terms of your symptoms. Staff calls you with your lab results with no mention of why you came to see the MD in the first place. You can tell she didn't know anything about me or my concerns or condition. This has been going on for years. Very frustrating and I don't feel like my medical concerns are being treated. read more

The staff became very irate when I asked them 2 Bill my other insurance. I will never understand this. One time they left me waiting in the room for well over an hour. I've requested my medical records several times even in person and they still never sent them. my new doctor requested them and they still didn't send them. there's a lot more but I'll leave it at that read more

I recently left the practice after 20+ years due to a poorly run front office. I have twice in the past two months needed a refill of a script and have been unable to get it refilled. My pharmacy repeatedly tried to contact the office as did I. I was repeatedly told the office manager was the ONLY one able to fill scripts and she would be in "shortly". After month one, I obtained the script elsewhere. For month two, I again tried and was ignored for over a week. I then attempted the online scheduler and was unable to make an appointment. So I then called for an appointment. The receptionist made the appointment and then told me she could not actually make it because I was turned over to collections for a $24 bill I owed. So basically after 20+ years of being a patient I was turned over to collections over a $24 bill. I was told if I came in immediately I could then make an appointment and get the medication refill I needed. No courtesy phone calls. Nothing. The patient care here by the front office staff is abhorrent. Dr. Kacmar is a fine physician but his office manager is a big ZERO! I highly recommend finding somewhere else unless you are absolutely desperate. read more

I personally, had a terrible experience with this doctor. I was prescribed a medicine that every medical professional I have mentioned it to, looked puzzled or expressed concern due to my specific situation. That said, I get to deal with the consequences of that doctors decisions for the next ten to twenty years. I would say to go find another doctor, especially if you participate in any sort of sport. On top of my poor experience, expect to wait a very long time to actually see anyone. They always seem to be running 20-30 minutes late. The staff is typically friendly, but I would not trust any of their decision knowing what I know now. read more

Got Carried away with more than 4.5 stars. Reality is completely different. Most inefficient , rude bunch of staffs. Wait time is always over 45 mins. Hang up calls without listening, put on hold/over voice mail forever without listening , extremely rude. We've been to so many doctors , never faced anything like this before, in my pregnancy they are giving me such stress/trauma , me & my husband both are patients of dr. Kacmar. My husband injured is right knee, went to a specialist, who asked for previous X-ray reports to be transferred from kacmar's office to the new doctor. Did all the paperworks needed for report transfer, after so many requests & followup calls kacmar's staff didn't send them . I'm sure they did it purposely. Very revengeful. Our whole family goes to Dr. Kacmar's office. We love the nurses and Dr Kacmar himself. They don't rush you through, they have the xray, lab, and pt there is you need it. Also, it can be difficult to find a great sports med doc that doesn't go right into "let's do surgery" mode...both my hubby and I are natural bodybuilders and the kids are very active in sports so I couldn't recommend another practice more! Dr. Kacmar and his staff are fabulous. I have been a patient of Dr. Kacmar's since 2006 and he has seen me through everything from athletic injuries and basic illness to some pretty serious stuff. He is easy to talk to, and is incredibly thorough in his approach to diagnosing the problem. He takes his time and genuinely listens to, and addresses any and all questions/concerns you may have. His staff is also friendly and professional. You may experience a little bit of a wait during your visit, but the care and attention you receive as a patient is well worth it.
