I was happy to discover that LA Reels was the best option in the LA area for many reasons. The customer service is top notch. The day I called, Brett immediately answered the phone. He answered all my questions, and promptly followed up with an email with their rates and information on how to move forward. Brett is polite, professional, detail oriented, not to mention a great film maker. Also, their rates are reasonable, and their payment options are easy. The scheduling was effortless. I hired Brett and his team to custom write two scenes for me. I was able to get an appointment for a brainstorming session the next day. Brett was able to conceptualize what it was I was seeking in both a comedic and dramatic scene. His writer Amanda, took the breakdown from our session and wrote two very appropriate scenes that would showcase not only my type, but my range and abilities as an actor. Film day was fun and ran efficiently. Brett's crew was hard-working, friendly. They made the entire experience on set feel high budget, while also maintaining a relaxed and supportive environment for everyone involved. The best part is, I was able to get my clips very soon after our shoot. The results of this entire process was two exceptionally produced custom demo reels to strengthen my body of work! Most importantly just didn't want another boring video that no one wants to watch (or rewatch). Looking through Brad's portfolio I saw his strength was in storytelling and while watching his prior works I felt engaged as a viewer. This was my main reason for booking Brad. Brad was great with communication. He scheduled a meeting one month prior to discuss our plans for the day e.g. must have scenes, locations, etc. Brad offered an off day with a location of our choice to film us a couple outside of the wedding context. This worked out beautifully. Brad was pleasant to work when it was just bride and groom and when we had a photographer and bridesmaid on board as well. He was very receptive and accommodating of my request to shoot in brighter / lighter tones than his signature moodier style. Although both the wedding and off day happened to be cloudy, Brad did an amazing job during post processing to adjust for the color. Brad also made sure to incorporate a home video of our cats as they were integral to our story. I am very appreciative of the effort that went into perfecting our video. I love watching it and even after several dozen re-runs it still makes me go "awww". Friends and family have nothing but praises for Brad's work and some have even said they were moved to tears. I think often times people skimp on the videography especially in the elopement context, but regardless of whether you're having an intimate ceremony or a full blown wedding, the video is what captures the emotions, sounds, and allows you to relive the moment. I'm glad we opted for both photography and videography for our event although during the planning phase it seemed a little excessive. However, the day flew by and before I realized it 7 hours came and went. I can't imagine how much faster it would have been if we had a full cast of guests and activities.

However he referred me to Cana Wedding Films and I am so glad he did! Ken and his crew really exceeded my expectations. They arrived early and were very professional. They listened to what I wanted and captured all the special moments of my daughter's big day. We had about 60 guests at the party, but Ken managed to figure out who was family and include them all in the video. Also they are so unobtrusive, you hardly realize that they were there. The final product was so beautifully edited with great music, it was like my daughter's own little wedding montage. I'm a little obsessed with detail shots and he captured all the desserts, food, decorations and her little outfits. Yes outfits, there were wardrobe changes, which he captured as well! (I'm telling you, it was like it was her wedding). I highly recommend Cana Wedding Films. Ken will work with your budget too, although you would never know by the end product. Also he offers edits, but I didn't even need them. And I'm picky! Before the wedding, Ken's team worked closely with me to understand what I wanted for my video. Ken came to see the venue on a site visit with me in order to plan the filming. Cana asked about our tastes and the types of music that we wanted to use. On the day of the wedding, Cana sent two videographers for my wedding and they collaborated well with the photographer and wedding coordinators. I had no problems with the team whatsoever during the day of the wedding and that's all you can really ask for on the day of your wedding. Cana provided me with a highlights video, a full length, and all of the raw footage from the day. I absolutely loved the work they did with the highlights video and the full length. They obviously spent a great deal of time putting the clips and the music together. The sound came out very crisp because they recorded it from the DJ. Our full length video included the important parts of the ceremony, clips from all the major events and all of the speeches. If you've shopping around, you will know that Cana offers a very reasonable rate for the services they offer. I am very satisfied with what Ken provided for me and I am well aware that Ken charged far less than other videographers for the same quality of work.
