Following an MVA, I was diagnosed with various injuries and was eventually confined to a wheelchair for almost two months, and I felt like I was completely out of options. I had seen a parade of specialists--orthopedic doctors, Spine specialist, physiatrist, physical therapist, and pain management doctors--to no avail. My experience with other medical professionals was deeply frustrating. The orthopedic doctors and spine surgeons essentially washed their hands of me after deciding against surgery- referring me to pain management, physical therapy, and physiatrist for epidurals . Each time an epidural was scheduled, the pain management team had to cancel the procedure because of pain induced high blood pressure. Physical therapy wasn't moving the needle, and I stopped taking opioids due to a real potential for dependency. By now, I was in a wheelchair and in constant pain. I felt completely stuck and hopeless. By the time I met Dr. Simon, I had run out of options. Dr. Simon looked at me and said he was going to try to help me, and he actually did. Within just 5 visits, the impossible happened: I was out of the wheelchair and using a walker. After a few more visits, I progressed even further--I was able to walk short distances without a walker and now , within 4 weeks of seeing Dr. Simon, I am walking completely off my walker and walking independently! After months of hitting brick walls with specialists, Dr. Simon is the one who finally got me back on my feet--literally and figuratively. He has given me a brand-new lease on life, and I truly don't know what I would have done without him. I am forever grateful for his compassion, dedication, and skill. In 2022, I was diagnosed with relapse-remitting multiple sclerosis, and I was struggling with chronic pain, cramping, numbness, brain fog, and fatigue. I also have TMJ. I'd tried everything--medicine, acupuncture--but nothing was truly effective until I started seeing Dr. Kris. Since then, about 95% of my symptoms have been relieved. When I went to see Dr. Casertano I literally couldn't walk. My leg muscles were pulled from my feet all the way up to my hamstrings, my back was totally messed up, and my neck was so stiff I couldn't turn it at all. Dr. Casertano figured out that I needed orthotics for my feet because my high arches were collapsing causing my feet to turn inward. He fitted me for custom orthotics and began my therapy which included spine adjustment and ultrasound treatment for my muscles. He told me that I will need 20 chiropractor sessions to fully recover, and he was right!!! He taught me how to adjust my form to prevent future injuries. I dawned on me that my boys' feet get tired a lot from walking and playing sports. So I brought the both of them to have their feet examined. It turns out they both have the same problem I do. They were both fitted for orthotics and have felt better as a result. A couple of weeks into baseball season, my 6 year old son started exhibiting weird behavior with his neck.
