Im happy to support community, and admire hard working business owners. He received the deposit, then asked me to send him money for the materials ( he claims he was low on cash). I asked if I could pay directly to vendors to protect my funds. He said sure. Next morning he sends me what looked like an invoice for the supplies for $430. I reimbursed him. 3 weeks go by not a word from him. I left daily VM, and texts. Nothing back. I was advised to file a police report for thief.. I'll keep you folks posted. JK
