Kaily's is an enigma. I have to agree with other reviewers, that the initial communication is very good. We had the guys come out, review our tree removal needs, and give us a firm quote right there on the spot. Thereafter, scheduling was pretty easy too. They showed up when they said they were going to and started working immediately. From there, things went a bit wonky. They told us our job would be a one-day job. It turned into 3 days. Each day, the entire crew would just pack up and be gone, leaving each time and not communicating when, or even if, they'd be back to finish. Halfway through day-2, they moved our neighbors stuff around in their yard without their or our permission (didn't even talk to us about it). On top of that, they also messed up part of that same neighbor's yard dealing with the tree on that side of the job. The ground/grass there is pretty well destroyed, and they did not have permission to be on the neighbor's property. While expected, as we had some YUGE trees that needed to be removed (80-90 footers), our yard is completely destroyed. They did do a good job protecting our irrigation heads all throughout the yard though, even those right below where the huge trees fell. By the time they left for the 2nd day, still unfinished and not telling us when/if they'd be back, we were a bit exasperated. When we asked what was going on with the final piece of the job, the stump grinding, they said they didn't know and that it was a different team that came out and did that, and they had their own/different schedule and we'd just be worked in when they were available. Several days later, the stump grinding team showed up unannounced. They went to work on the stumps immediately, but left GIANT piles of sawdust in the yard where the stumps were ground. We weren't expecting that and calls/texts sent asking about it were not returned... finally they just sent us an invoice via email and we never heard anything else from them. We just paid the bill to be done with the job, but don't necessarily feel like we received everything we paid for in totality. Overall, they did the job, the trees and stumps are gone, and they didn't break anything that needed to be repaired, but we now have some additional work to the grounds (including our neighbors) that has to be done as a result. read more

Kaily's tree service did a fantastic job removing two huge trees in our backyard that we're hanging over our roof. They had an excellent rates and once the job was scheduled they showed up and worked until the truck was full and they had to come back another day. The only issue I had was communication in getting the service scheduled. We had them come out and do the estimate super quickly. However getting a hold of them to get the work scheduled took multiple back and forths of text messages. Overall we are extremely pleased with the service they did; just make sure that when you get the estimate you are willing to schedule that day. read more

Since I had such a poor experience with Kailys, I noted on my first invoice that I was going to pay in installments. I've paid 2/3rds of my bill already. Got a call today asking why I haven't paid..... When I pointed out that I explained on my first invoice why, the person on the phone was confused, then defiant, and then had the gall to ask, "why are you so concerned with all these little things?" I explained that it was about professionalism. Calling someone to arrange a time instead of just showing up, not screwing up my yard in the process of cleaning up, and getting the work order and initial conversation to match and be correct in the first place is called professionalism. I'm not sure if it's because I'm female, if they are just incompetent, or they just don't care. Try not to use this company unless you have no other choice. read more

Kailys tree service is top notch. First, they do not "top off" trees, which is an improper method of tree trimming that is so common in middle TN. I had a large tree trimmed, which required a team member climbing high into the tree. There are two appointments - the first is to diagnose the problem and explain their methods and plans for your particular issue. The second appointment will happen few days later when one of their teams will come out to complete the work. They are thorough and do an excellent job cleaning up. Pricing wise they are very competitive and worth every penny for the work they do. read more

Very professional work and polite service. Had five trees trimmed, and the men had it done within a couple of hours. The trees in the back were done manually due to my fenced yard. Very respectful of the property and sized the trees to my request. Also did a great job of taking the smaller branches after. They brought a mulcher to take care of the branches on site. It took 4 days for them to get back to me, and when they did they TEXTED saying they are too busy, call someone else. Excellent!! They manually cut down a huge pine tree because it was so close of the house. They did if for a very affordable price and in under 2 hours. They were extremely efficient. They even accommodated our difficult neighbors by removing the saw dust that was touching their fence. I highly recommend them and would use them again if needed!!! read more

I honestly do not know why I did not call these guys years ago. The job was to take down a large disease Sycamore tree and grind the stump. It was close to the house too. I got several bids because a 90-year-old tree had been struck by lightning, was rotting and had to come down. I also had to remove five crêpe myrtles which were touching the neighbors' home and their homeowners insurance agent asked me to remove them. Not only was Kaily's bid the most affordable of the ones that I got, but they were able to set the job up for within a few days. Several years ago I had hired a well-known Tree Service in Asheville to remove three large crate myrtles from my backyard and they put the job off for three months. Kaily's crew crew came as scheduled even though it was drizzling rain. They did a beautiful job and everything was removed as we had agreed upon and the large stump ground up. We had a VERY large branch (over 1/2 of the tree) fall during a storm - happened on a Saturday and fell into my neighbors yard, completely blocking them in. I called Kailey's to have them remove the fallen branch and remaining tree. The salesman, Mauricio, was very prompt and at the house in less than an hour. The tree was about 60' tall with most of the major branches already on the ground. I was quoted $1400 to cut up what had fallen and an additional $600 for the remaining tree. This seemed high to me however the salesman, Mauricio (and he was a true salesman), was unwilling to negotiate (he said it was "usually a $2600 job"). His justification was he needed to get 8 guys, 4 trucks, and would be lucky to get it done in the remaining 6 hours of daylight. I also needed to get out of town so I agreed to the price based on the amount of resources needed for the job. In about 45 minutes, 2 trucks and 4 guys showed up to the house to begin working. In just under 3 hours, I received a call that they were nearly done but they ran out of room on the truck for the remaining wood so they'd be back on Monday. It literally took half the resource to complete the job. Also, I went out of town Sunday - Thursday and when I came back Thursday evening, the rest of the tree/branches remained in my yard. Mauricio and another guy showed up Friday morning to finish the job - he said they had simply forgotten about it. I talked to Mauricio about the job, expressing my pleasure with the work, but my disagreement with the estimate. I explained how half the resources showed up and they finished in half the time. I also mentioned that I paid a premium for Emergency Service, yet 6 days later I still had a 12' stump in my yard and enough branches to nearly kill the grass under it. He had none of it, explaining that the guys worked extra hard and he had to give them big tips. Again, I thought that was covered with my Emergency Service fee. Ultimately I signed the contract for $2000 so it is what it is. The actual work was very good - you wouldn't even know the tree fell in my neighbors yard. However based on the discrepancy between the estimate and work, and how it took 6 days to finish the emergency job, I would not recommend Kailey's at all. The workers themselves were great and friendly, but the salesman left a very sour taste in my mouth. read more
