My experience with the cashier, Jacquelynn, was extremely disappointing. Based on her attitude and the way she handled the interaction, she appeared to hate her job and showed little interest in helping me. Rather than being welcoming and professional, she made me feel like my questions were an inconvenience. My biggest concern was that Jacquelynn could not clearly explain the additional fees I was being charged before completing the transaction. Customers deserve to know exactly what they are paying for before their money is taken. As the cashier responsible for processing the payment, she should have been knowledgeable enough to explain each charge or find someone who could. Her lack of communication made the entire situation frustrating and uncomfortable. Instead of calmly reviewing the charges with me, she failed to provide a clear answer about where the fees came from or why they were being added. This made me question whether the charges were correct and whether the employees were properly trained. Overall, Jacquelynn's attitude and inability to explain the fees gave me a very negative impression of the business. Even if she did not personally create the fees, she should have made an effort to get accurate information for me. I hope management addresses this situation by improving employee training and reminding staff that customers deserve respectful service, transparency, and clear explanations about every charge. Had to bring my mom in for an eye appointment. Parking located in the same building as the eye MD. Plenty of spaces to choose from. Parking isn't free, but it's easier than looking for metered street parking. Go to the lobby level to check in. No line, but the lady was kind of slow, but she was pleasant. There's also a security guard in the lobby. Sent to the elevator afterwards to go up to the eye floor. There was a check in area there as well! Who knew?!?! There was only one person ahead of us, and he took so long, so it was annoying that once it was our turn and to find out that this was just another check in area was a waste of time. Wish we knew that ahead of time. Large sitting area for waiting. Most of the people were very good about leaving seats between others during these COVID times. TV was off (bummer). No magazines. Boring. Thank goodness I had my cellphone and magazine to read! Finally, our turn to see the eye MD. It was actually a short wait. She was very nice and explained things well and she didn't mind answering all my questions. Appointment desk nearby, so we went ahead and scheduled another eye appt instead of doing it online. Came for the drive in Covid test in parking lot second floor. After you park, head to the back. The test itself was fast and they said you get results in 1-2 days. Only one other person arrived at the same time as me so there were no lines. They should consider expanding this kind of testing site because this was only one closest to me. A car took up 2 spots on second floor. How could the security guy have missed that? The guy stationed on the second floor should be actively monitoring the cars coming in. It took too long exiting the parking lot. Car in front of me couldn't get the ticket to scan. They told me parking is free first 20 minutes so you don't need validation for that. read more

Kaiser is awful. The drs are not really for what's best for patients. I started a new job this year and they have Kaiser insurance. It's been awful hard to get an appointment once you get in without any medical history whatsoever the doctors immediately want to take away some of your medication and put you on something else. They don't want to allow you to continue with something that works until another solution is found . They don't listen to the patients. My doctor ran unauthorized test without my permission I was basically accused of being a drug addict. And I don't use drugs. I hardly ever drink alcohol and I don't smoke cigarettes. My experience with this location has been so bad every time, it's worth changing to another hospital or fixing your insurance plan. They've cancelled my appointments like MRI's many times, amongst other things. Given the wrong directions and wrong locations to buildings and so much more. The parking rates are unnecessary and other locations don't do that and so much more. By far the worst Kaiser I've been to in my entire life throughout all of California. . Okay. I usually don't leave bad reviews like this esp for big companies that won't care what I write about them. BUT. WHAT in the world. I had a dermatology appointment. Checked in on the kiosk, went up the maze without direction, made it to the waiting room: there is no instructions or anything on the walls. Very unorganized. Then the MA brought me to a different section of dermatology, sat me in a room and took my vitals. I hear people talking outside... the whole thing about their morning and their massage... even the doctor laughing and lagging in coming into my room. Very unprofessional. She checked in with me, briefly explained the process, then walked out. The staff/MAs here are so loud and I could literally hear my last name first name and then talking about me from inside the office. They need to keep quiet and maintain professionalism. We drove about an hr for a PFT for my daughter. All I have to say is the customer service and care that we received from the security guard to the lady that provided my daughter with water was excellent.The respiratory tech Ian was very helpful and patient. I walked into optical wonderland- everyone is supah friendly and answer all my Qs. I needed prescription for glasses and contacts and ended up with some mighty killer Mark Jacobs sunglasses. Ginger was a force of positive nature and helped me choose from all the frames I tried and trust - I tried a lots of frames on! The vibe was so good in the office I had other patients/customers helping me choose. It's hard to choose! Almost threw down for some $500+ Gucci but then the people chose a way cheaper brand as better for me, tank gawd ;) So happy I got crazy discounts on my glasses 50% then 25% off the sunglasses because I bought one years worth of contacts. So, I am so sorted in the optical dept thanks to Ginger and KP optical crew. Oh, Ashley is also fabulous. I needed an appointment asap so she kept calling me whenever someone camcelled. I ended up getting purrfect time/day due to my flexibility. So dunno why there are bad reviews but come with a positive attitude and some time because you're gonna need it to decide on glasses frames! How is this a hospital/medical office but doesn't offer sufficient handicap parking? & when there is handicap it's way to far for anyone with a disability to be walking to the doctors office and back to their car. I'm starting to realize and see how UN-handicap friendly Kaiser medical officer/hospitals is/are. Even the elevators are small and yet customer still want to pack it even when their is a wheelchair inside. Being in a wheelchair and having safe reliable access to all parts of the hospital is vital. read more

So new, clean, and big. I came from a PPO, so I'm glad to not be fighting with the insurance company. It may have its hurdles, but it's far better than anyplace else I have ever been treated. I've never heard of a hospital where their doctors can leisurely enjoy their weekends which they apparently do every week. My mom has been diagnosed by these "doctors" with bile duct cancer and they inserted tubes to drain her bile due to an obstruction within her liver. They have recently exchanged tubes but did not attach them properly and has been leaking. She went to emergency room on Friday buy they took so long to get her imaging done that the doctors left for the weekend so she's been in observation the whole weekend. This is the third time she's been neglected due to weekends at Kaiser. Apparently there's no one on-call to approve medication refills or make interpretations on diagnostic images. I can understand having to wait a weekend for surgical procedures but they can make a call or send an image via smartphone these days. I had the impression Kaiser was a good hospital, maybe 20 years ago but since their doctors are already paid then they don't feel an urgency to do their damn job. This is why medical care in this country sucks. These new generation doctors are motivated by money rather than the desire to heal people. They don't want to be doctors to get blood on their hands (literally), they want to be doctors because they get paid alot of money and eventually they will get blood on their hands (figuratively). I'm only writing about KP OPTICAL department. I generally love everything about Kaiser except this department. Overpriced and poorly staffed. Their prices for everything are over what any other optical charges. I am grateful that my medicare supplement affords me an allowance, but I could have gotten two or three pairs of glasses at an independent optician for what they charged me for one pair. Also, I was charged a service fee for bringing in my own frames. read more

Honestly, why do people keep coming here? My husband had an Ophthalmologist appointment here about a week ago. He took time off of work in order to make it on time. My infant and I drove with him because there was a chance that his eyes would need to be dilated. You cant Pros? Ummm the building was standing? That's about it! Cons? Where do I even start? Parking is atrocious. I seriously might have PTSD from my experience there. We finally gave up and I dropped him off at the entrance and I parked on the rooftop level. The checkin staff was rude. They seriously will ignore you unless you make a stink. His appointment that was scheduled for 1:45 PM ended up being delayed....wait for it....you ready?......3 EFFIN HOURS!!! Yes he was not seen until 4:00 PM! Once we started asking for their satisfaction surveys, the customer service lady started scrambling. She was nice enough but that does not make up for having us wait over 3 hours past a SCHEDULED APPOINTMENT. It is completely irresponsible to over schedule a specialist. I do not blame the doctor himself but the scheduling procedures are completely inadequate. They must be scheduling people in 15 minute increments which is beyond idiotic. The staff seemed annoyed by the fact that people were upset. Listen, we are long time Kaiser members and I have had some amazing experiences at other facilities. We will, however, NEVER schedule any appointments at this location in the future. The fact that this facility has such little regard for its members time is revolting! The nurse calls me in at 12:40 and while taking my vitals he said I got here early. I mentioned that my appointment was at 12 and he's like well the doctors about an hour behind. 1515 Vermont 1st floor. Staff screening fo covid symptoms allowed a male patient into the building who was not wearing a mask. It was hanging below his chin. He was also face to face with screener less than 2 feet apart. This puts the screener at risk of getting the virus and passing it along to others. The patient entered the elevator with out mask and with other people who did not come in with him. Also there is no stairway access in the upward direction in this building forcing all to use an elevator. I feel bad posting this review because I know the screeners have a tough job when dealing with the non-compliant, but they need to do better. Also there should be stairway access. read more

Don't ever go to the pharmacy here. The people who work there are rude! I watched them talk shit behind patients backs, mocking them. What kind of sick joke is this? these people need their medication, they are ill. So to stand there and laugh at someone in distress about not being able to get their medication is sick and twisted. I've gone there 3 times, each time they refuse to give me my medication because they claim my insurance was terminated. It is not by the way, they won't even call or verify. This place is the most confusing building ever! It was hard just finding the pharmacy! The dr we had yesterday at urgent care was awesome and very helpful. She prescribed new meds for my mom. I asked if the pharmacy was open today. She told me yes. I came and 1. The pharmacy was super hard to find. 2. Parking is far. 3. They r not open today! 4. They charge hella lot for parking! Dr. Jorge Luis Llane can't even answer my question "what signs/symptoms can be used to differentiate a bacterial or viral cause of sore throat?" Literally told me "let me type some stuff on the computer first." He obviously didn't know the answer. He looked a bit shocked I would even ask a such thing. How can you be a physician when you can't even answer a simple question? I also asked what building I needed to go for my ultrasound and he said "why do you need to know that? I don't know where, the nurse will tell you." I mean I need to know that so that I know where to go sir. Also, another physician (wish I remembered the name) called the wrong phone number last week for my phone appointment. I've been with Kaiser for 10 years and I've had the same and only phone number the entire time. Idk how you can call the wrong number. I had to speak with the appointment center for almost an hour just to tell me that they can't reach that doctor or anyone in his office and that they can only leave a message. That's when I decided to give up on Kaiser. Then they called me back 4 days later. Are you kidding me? What if I literally died? They are soo bad that it's funny now. I've had to come back after an initial visit for labs and culture which I don't understand why they didn't order them on my first visit. The KP Optical Center is in this building on the 6th floor. As with any physical store selling glasses, the cost is several times more than what you would find online. The feeling you're getting seriously ripped off is palpable. Given a prescription, it's not hard to get the rest of the measurements for making an online glasses purchase work. The cheapest, ugliest pair at KP was still more than three times what I paid for a good pair online and would probably be nine times its online equivalent. Aside from cost, the service was terrible. The employee to customer ratio was about 3:1 when I walked in, but only one person was handling us, and when not waiting for him, he had nothing useful to say ("just find what you like" was the only line he had programmed in that day). I have been a patient at this Kaiser location past 8 months and I come here at least once a month. Since the first visit, their 1 of 3 elevator is out of order. It's been 8 months. Last 2 visits, 2 of 3 were out of order. What's worse, the elevator is super slow so that makes at least 5-10 minutes of waiting for an elevator. Receptionists at 5th floor are rude most of time. Also I had 2 appointments back to back one day, one being a follow up with a doctor and another with nurse for monthly injection. I talked to my doctor and decided that I would no longer needed to receive the injection. So nurse told the receptionist to cancel an appointment for injection which I already paid for. The receptionist started complaining it's gonna be really difficult because I paid for both follow-up with doctor and monthly injection together. Well, it's not my fault, as I paid what I was told by HER. All she needed to do was cancel the payment and charge me for follow-up only. Well, she kept saying it's gonna be difficult and did nothing. Like waiting for me to say its ok and leave. So I finally fed up with her and left. It was only 5 bucks but really? If you don't know how to process, ask someone who does. read more

I had an appointment for 4:15pm which I arrived in time for but I was not seen by the doctor until 5pm. I was also informed at the appointment that my eyes needed to be dilated. I did not prepare for this by bringing sunglasses and a driver to take me home, so I ended up wandering around the neighborhood for hours until I was ready to drive myself. Now you're probably wondering - how do you not know that your eyes would be dilated? Well, to answer your question, the last time I was seen by Kaiser Ophtalomology (Dr. Pangilinan), my eyes were NOT dilated and he maybe spent 10 minutes with me then sent me off. This recent appointment was supposed to be a check-up just like the last, so I had no reason to think I needed someone to accompany me.
