But, after my experience, I can't recommend this hospital enough! The nurses and staff were amazing and so attentive to my child and me. It was my second cesarean, and the care I received while I was there was wonderful and incomparable. I didn't get this kind of treatment with my first c-section. They helped me to the restroom when I needed it, and even helped me change my baby--simple things like that really helped me during my visit. I didn't feel neglected or stressed at all. The hospital is very clean, and even the few visitors I had commented on how kind and attentive the staff were. They even offered a free car seat and diaper bag for my baby. Overall, my hospital stay here was great! If I decide to have another baby, I would definitely deliver here again.

I asked to send in my lunch because my fever was coming down and with medicine I feel like I was able to eat. She said no I don't think you can eat or it's a nice idea to eat you need some smoothie you can have your family bring you some smoothie for you. My family lives an hour away. When my husband has some free time it's bad traffic time that it's take all the way 2hrs. Nurses don't care. I got here at 11 no Dr came to talk to me or nurse checking in on their patients THEY DO NOT CAREEE After this stay I'm absolutely not coming back.

During his second hospitalization, despite ongoing severe symptoms, he was again discharged after only four days. As his wife and primary support person, I repeatedly provided detailed information about his behavior, lack of sleep, and worsening condition. However, I never received a single phone call from the treating psychiatrist, and I felt that my concerns were not adequately addressed. There was very little communication regarding his treatment or discharge plan, and I was not included in discussions despite my important role in his care. Shortly before discharge, he was still exhibiting behavior that made me fear for his safety and the safety of those around him. I understand that psychiatric hospitals must follow legal and clinical standards regarding involuntary holds, and I know they cannot keep someone hospitalized simply because family members request it. However, I expected better communication, a clearer discharge plan, and more collaboration with the family. Unfortunately, that did not happen. This experience left me feeling unsupported during an extremely difficult time, and I hope the hospital improves communication with families of psychiatric patients.

Giving Dr. Chris Chang and Stella 5 stars!!!…read more I can't say enough good things about this office. A massive thank you to Dr. Chris Chang for being a phenomenal doctor who truly cares about her patients. She's working hard to figure out what's going on with me and has made real accommodations during a genuinely hard time. She's one of the best doctors I've ever had. I have to give a huge shoutout to Stella at the front desk. She went above and beyond to get me the help I needed, the kind of effort you just don't see every day. Her work ethic is incredible. She followed through, kept me in the loop, and made a stressful situation so much easier. It's clear she genuinely cares about the patients who walk in. My doctor, Dr. Chris Chang, is truly amazing. She is incredibly patient, knowledgeable, thoughtful, and genuinely caring. She took the time to explain every medical term I wasn't familiar with in a way that was easy to understand. What really stood out to me is that she didn't rush at all, no feeling of being pushed out the door like with so many other doctors. She took her time, thought carefully, and focused on giving the best possible answers and solutions. Easily the best doctor I've had so far. Very polite, positive, and reassuring. You can tell she truly cares about her patients. The entire team works really well together. The lab staff was super friendly, and the nurse who took my blood was great, I didn't even have a bruise afterward; it was like nothing happened. She really made the experience comfortable and stress-free. The clinic itself is very clean, and I felt comfortable the entire time. Reception staff, at least in Suite 100, were polite and helpful as well, also very efficient. The only downside is that it can be hard to reach them by phone, calls most of the time go unanswered, which makes scheduling extremely challenging. That's definitely an area for improvement. Other than that, I'm extremely happy with my experience. I truly feel like my doctor and the team care and want to provide the best possible care.

The bad news: I went in at 8:45am did not receive any real treatment except and IV until around 2pm. I didn't get out and complete everything until after 4pm. Spent nearly an entire work shift just to get seen and checked. They are extremely understaffed and overbooked with walk ins. They need more CT scan rooms, and nurses willing to see patients. At the end of the day, I was treated, but I did not feel cared for and did not feel like I was important. Of course, there are other patients and we all want to be prioritized but the issue is they receive more patients than they can handle and it does not seem to matter to them at all. You will get treated, just expect to waste a lot of time.

WORST HOSPITAL EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD…read more I recently underwent eardrum surgery with one of the top surgeons in Los Angeles who, unfortunately, performs surgeries at the surgery center connected to this hospital. Due to a reaction to the anesthesia, I unexpectedly needed to stay overnight following the procedure. What should have been a quiet recovery experience was anything but. Throughout the evening, a patient in the room next to me was repeatedly screaming due to what appeared to be severe distress, and a patient across the hall was loudly making threatening statements toward staff, saying she was going to kill them. As someone recovering from surgery, exhausted and vulnerable, the environment felt incredibly stressful and unsettling. Every time I needed to use the restroom I had to call for assistance. If I attempted to get up independently due to them taking too long, an alarm would sound continuously until staff arrived. Combined with the overall environment, this made an already difficult recovery feel overwhelming. When I asked staff whether there was a quieter recovery area available for post-surgical patients, I was told that patients are assigned based on room availability. Due to there being a known park across the street filled with drug addicts, this is where they come for drug overdoses is what was explained. I fully understand that hospitals care for all types of patients and emergencies, and I have tremendous respect for healthcare workers. Following surgery, patients need rest, a sense of safety, and the ability to recover in peace. Had I known what the overnight environment would be like, I honestly would have preferred recovering at home. Very terrifying experience.

It feels homey and welcoming, which is rare, especially considering this is both primary care and urgent care in one. The clinic is also very modern and efficient. We were given an email address to submit medical documents, and everything was uploaded seamlessly. The receptionist was patient, friendly, and welcoming. Although we noticed the clinic serves many Armenian patients, we never once felt judged or treated differently. We first met with a student nurse practitioner who had a warm demeanor, asked thoughtful questions, and listened carefully while taking detailed notes. It felt thorough and unrushed. When Dr. Manuk Chulyan came in, it was immediately clear he had already reviewed my mom's history. I explained her recent hospitalization and new diagnosis of advanced kidney disease, along with our frustration with prior gaps in care. He was compassionate and attentive, especially toward my mom, who was visibly anxious and overwhelmed. He carefully reviewed her labs, uploaded outside records, and updated medications with great attention to detail. He was receptive to coordinating appropriate follow-up care with specialists and addressing our concerns without hesitation. What truly stood out was his willingness to help with necessary medical documentation and support requests. There was no resistance, no judgment, and no sense that we were asking for too much. In a time when my mom already felt vulnerable, that calm willingness meant more to us than words can express. He also took time to understand how her condition affects daily life and was supportive of resources that could help improve her overall well-being. In a quiet, sincere moment, he mentioned God to my mom. It was gentle, respectful, and not forced. My mom left feeling comforted and understood in a way she hasn't felt before with a primary care provider. Mary, the office manager, was exceptional. She was patient, kind, and incredibly helpful with paperwork, and even went out of her way to explain additional resources we weren't initially aware of. Appointments are easy to make, we arrived early, and they were punctual. We left feeling heard, supported, and genuinely cared for. We truly love this clinic. Parking is limited, but street parking is available. Highly recommend. PS This review was not solicited. It is shared voluntarily and reflects our honest and heartfelt experience.

A year ago, I was able to vaccinate my now three-year-old at a Kaiser clinic where you could basically walk in, but boy have things changed. I was on a short deadline (older kid needed the vaccine to go back to school after winter break) and it was a struggle finding a place that would take us. We're all Cedars patients, and our pediatrician doesn't carry the vaccine, and I spent hours on the phone and the Cedars website following poorly demarcated trails leading to a) a Cedars injection center with no availability for a month and b) the California government website. That website listed outdated information from when more people must have cared about COVID because I called several pharmacies and health centers that supposedly provided the vaccine for young kids, and none of them would actually do it until--cue the fucking trumpets--I got to the Los Angeles County Central Health Center. They picked up right away, and I talked to a human, who let me book an appointment for my two boys the following morning. I promised them a zoo day after a quick, no-biggie trip to get shots, accompanied by our nanny and her very patient eight-year-old niece. We found easy metered parking off Figueroa and headed into the Central Health Center. It felt like an orderly government office. We checked in and I filled out some paperwork, then we sat in the waiting room until the nurse was ready to see us. This took longer than anticipated--the place was somewhat busy when we arrived--but the people working there were nice, and we didn't feel forgotten. When it was our turn, the nurse led us into her office and quickly, compassionately administered the shots. My kids both cried, but they received lots of praise and also several stickers, which have ended up on my laptop. The nurse was a really kind Korean woman who thought my boys were super handsome and gave out endless fruit snacks (which my three-year-old calls "sweet gums" for some reason). We had to wait around for twenty minutes so she could monitor the kids for negative reactions, and this was a long time, but the waiting room had emptied out and the nurse hung out with us and played with the children. My meter ran out, but no ticket, no foul. The appointment took longer than anticipated, but it was a pretty painless experience that helped me solve a pain-in-the-ass problem. The baby still needs his booster, so we'll probably be back to the Central Health Center soon. I hope he gets more play time with that nice nurse.
