Let's start with a rude reception and bedside manner. The same person drew my blood, maybe she wasn't paying attention while drawing blood, not changing gloves after going outside of the room and then coming back in, slipped on the needle on the left side, requiring us to draw the remainder from the right side. Altogether it could've been a good experience if the person who I first made contact with was just a little bit more willing to be helpful. The LabCorp at 1821 Wilshire Blvd. In Santa Monica is run so poorly. The whole waiting room is full of people. They have one woman there working the front desk and drawing the blood work! I had an appointment apparently that doesn't matter you're gonna wait an hour. read more

I had an appointment here. I drove there to find the font of the building fenced up. There were lots of people in the alley and all around the block who seemed to be using drugs. So it's possible it's not completely closed, but there not really anywhere to park and I didn't feel comfortable getting out to investigate in any event. Needed to find a new LabCorp close to my new job. This one might not be in the greatest area, but take the elevator up and you will check in with your photo ID place it upside down in the tray and fill out the necessary required information. The staff was extremely helpful and kind. I saw them working with quiet efficiency, treating patience with care. They assisted them with the check-in as needed and gave them information and helpful manner. They speak Spanish as well. I have never had such an efficient blood draw personally even though I have good veins I am really thankful to have found a good location for my needs . read more

Got my blood tested here and got my result in the app within 2-3 days. Everything was good except I needed more vitamin D and my sugar level was too high... guess I gotta lay off the junk food. The app: please download the app. I will remind you of your appointments and has a checkin feature to make signing in much easier. Customer service: I forgot I had my lab report in my wallet so I could bring to lab so they know what to test me for; however, the lab tech lady in front was very helpful and told me to get my doctor to fax her information. I went for a routine blood draw for my annual and have to shout out Aurora, the amazing phlebotomist at this location. I am someone who gets faint and woozy from blood draws, but she took my blood and distracted me with conversation and like a pro it was over quickly without me even feeling it. She is the real MVP. I will say the location / building could be a lot better but it was convenient and the check in system and overall wait time better than my past experience at Quest. Definitely a super sketchy and uncomfortable part of Los Angeles. If you don't want to pay a considerable amount in the back lot, find metered parking, which is easy to do on Wilshire. It is a couple of bucks for a couple of hours, which is a safe amount of time. LabCorp itself here is clean but the building is old and creepy. You'll find it on the fourth floor of the building. The people outside are not the safest bunch. The lady working at reception was incredibly nice. She gets 5 stars on her own. All in all, I would rather drive a few extra miles to go to the one in Glendale than this one. read more

The phlebotomist there poked me twice and blamed me for being dehydrated. I'm a nurse and I could draw my own blood with my eyes closed. Its not that hard finding a vein. My entire forearm was bruised the day after, it looks I got punched. Do not recommend I don't care if it's in the rich part of LA. read more

I really get so much anxiety from coming to these places and getting blood drawn, but this was my BEST experience in all the many times I've done it:) Allison was so helpful and efficient in helping me find my insurance that I couldn't find. She also printed me a copy which was so sweet and helpful of her. And Jennifer was so perfect with how she kept me calm and was able to make it COMPLETELY PAINLESS. Nurses always seem to have a problem with finding my vein but she is a PRO. Highly recommend this Labcorp and if I ever need lab work again I will be returning to this location and hoping that both Allison and Jennifer are there! I'm truly happy with my experience there I would also like to add that the location is not the best nor is it in the most appealing building but the ladies in the office are a GEM and totally make up for that read more

I have never been so appalled by not only the quality (or lack) of care, but also the service itself. I arrived and there were flies everywhere in the lobby, the woman at the front desk barely looked up at me when I told her I was scared and would prefer a butterfly needle. She then ended up being the woman to take my blood and she BUTCHERED my arm in the process. I was in pain and bruised for over 2 weeks afterward. Terrible experience. read more

Neither of which have anything to do with the physical status of the facility... keep that in mind when you pull up and a little fear is instilled because you weren't sure if you should get out of your car! Lol #1 I made an appointment online. Walked in about five minutes before my time- signed in and waited 3 minutes!! Amazing!!! #2 I told the phlebotomist I have extremely small veins and was going to be a challenging stick. I had in fact been sent from my doctors office after 4 failed attempts to collect blood! I was in n out in under 10 minutes for my annual blood work! The lab itself is awesome, super friendly staff and extremely quick and easy! BUT BE WARNED!!! The Lab is smack dab in the middle of the McArthur Park area! Drug addicted "homeless" individuals everywhere. Had to walk past 2 needles and a pile of human feces to get to the lab. Parking is also a freaking headache! I lucked out and a single spot was open........ next to a "homeless" encampment. Lab good.......... area bad, to summarize my experience. read more

I had an appointment yesterday at 3:30 p.m. I went to the place only to find a note on the door that said they closed early at 12:30 p.m. I did not receive any email, text, or phone call regarding this last-minute change. I find this quite unprofessional. I had to take a Lyft to get to my appointment, so just imagine my disappointment when I found out that I didn't even have an appointment anymore. It was a nightmare!!!! while taking a blood test I felt sick...my eyes blurred, my ears whistled and I told the nurse that I felt sick and I needed to take a horizontal position to make me feel better, as I have a history of this and I already know how to act in such a situation...I was refused help!!! I was told to keep sitting and that I could not be put down now! And I said that I was losing consciousness and that I needed to lie down immediately...they kept me sitting and did not let me out!!! I had to get up by my own efforts and go to lie down on the couch, which was next to me and was absolutely free!!!! They put me down and left! And did not even offer me water!!!! They waited until I felt better, then they took the blood and I left!!! The second time I was analyzed by another nurse, the first one who did not let me out of the seat just left.... I have never met such terrible service in laboratories in my life!!! I was very scared and even at the moment when you feel very bad the nurses can not help and offer elementary water or ammonia!!!! After reading other reviews I prepared myself for the surrounding area of the facility and took an Uber which dropped me off right at the door. Inside there are signs indicating you need to take an elevator to the 4th floor. Upon exiting the elevator turn left and there is a small room for checkin. I was a walk in appointment and signed in at the kiosk. A woman took my lab order and sent me to a larger waiting room. About five minutes later I was called in for my labs. The phlebotomist did an amazing job and I was on my way. Overall very kind staff and quick service! read more

This place is in an older building and not in the best part of town.... However it was on my way to my friends house in Hancock Park so I stopped by to get my labs drawn. I had called in advance and they quoted me a 15 minute wait. Upon arrival I was the only one in the waiting room and they took me back in less than 5 minutes. The provider who drew my blood was so nice and efficient. I would definitely come back here, but I would still call in advance to avoid a long wait! read more
