I appreciate the location of the hops spot, as it's right on the water in downtown Clayton. The wait staff were very professional and thorough. The seating was perfect in the summertime! I have no complaints regarding the food. I highly reccomend this Resturant if you're passing through the area

But I am really glad my son, husband and I popped in for lunch on Sunday, November 17, 2024. They have the best poutine I've ever eaten and I've had it several times, including in Canada. I am pretty sure we ordered the Classique Poutine. They have twelve different versions, so that's nice. Then my husband and I split the Wac Arnold hamburger and my son ordered something else that I can't remember. We were all happy, especially with the poutine. Clayton is a really cute waterfront town right on the St. Lawrence River.

Many like their unique variation of poutines, but I will start with the basic to know if they can get it right when I try a new poutine place. When this fact was presented to the "gentleman" taking the money he became hostile saying that you can not expect a clean car for the basic car wash proceedure. I insisted this was the wrong attitude to present and the car wash should provide a complete outside wash for that kind of money. I will try once more to see what the wash is like and to make sure the WHOLE car top to bottom outside gets clean and dry. If not, I will NOT be back and will advertise to my associates who visit there to make sure they get decent basic wash job, on the complete outside of the car. My rating based on attitude of the contact person and previous jobs is a D-MINUS

I ordered a small poutine to go, what a treat! I snapped a few pics but could not wait near the garbage cans as they REALLY needed to be changed! Didn't take too long and I was on my way. $6.75. Potion was ok. Good ratio of fries to cheese to gravy. The fries were for sure chip-truck tasting. Very thin but I liked that the skins are left on. I loved the saltiness of it. Daily/weekly specials. I'll try the loaded baked potato poutine next time. Or I'll come on a Tues when they have pad thai on the menu. Cool Truck!
