3 years ago, I had a huge nail in my tire. I tried getting it dealt with in Vancouver but they told me I had to either book an appointment or leave my car there for a week.. I came to Hope to visit my parents and stopped by this location, they fixed the hole in 5 minutes and sent me on my way. Today, I was coming in to Hope to work a shift at my folks' restaurant and my back tire got shredded. I brought my car in the afternoon and they told me that I would get my car back the next day. I asked if there is any way to get the car back tonight since my parents moved to Chilliwack and I live in Vancouver so I'd be stranded In Hope. The team was able to get tires couriered to Hope and installed by closing time. Thanks y'all for always looking out for customers and taking care of us the best you can! read more

On our way to Vernon recently we had a brake drum that shattered and blew one of our boat trailer tires just before the Hope exit. Luckily we could quickly pull over at an entrance ramp on the highway because we had a tire fire also (thankfully we brought along a fire extinguisher). The Hope volunteer fire personnel arrived and were amazing. They safely escorted us off the freeway and we had our repairs completed at Kal Tire in Hope, B.C. The staff at Kal Tire were AMAZING! They were honest and fair and did everything to get us up and running once again. I would HIGHLY recommend Kal Tire to anyone that needs repairs!! read more

We were camping at Skagit Valley Provincial Park. This city mouse is unfamiliar with extended trips on gravel roads and was unsettled by the shrieking sound I later was informed was the sound of stones grinding against the wheels. The lovely people at Kal Tire dispensed reassuring teaching, assessed the tire pressure of my vehicle, and would accept no monies (or other compensation) for same. My tire went flat on my mobility scooter trailer,, had just check air in it 1hr before. Thought I would take it in to check but suspected the tire valve, but to be safe in case I had picked up a nail I thought I would take it to be checked. Well took it off the trailer and took it to Kal Tire in Hope BC. Well they checked it for leak and screwed in a new valve which may have taken 5 minutes total if that... And gave me the bill for $32.00 Find another shop as they are crazy. read more

I would highly recommend this shop. Our tire on our very old tent trailer shredded itself while going over the Coquihalla highway. We were able to change it on the roadside but our spare was low. We limped it into town and stopped in at Kal Tire. Loren was able to change the tire over to a new one that was in stock while the kids sat in the car. He also inspected the other tires and adjusted pressure accordingly. Price was very reasonable considering the circumstances. They could have really hosed us but they didn't. Ive taken a few tires here over the years to get swapped over to new rims, or balanced. every time they seem to mess something up! Also. 20 a tire, for a mount, then 20 for a balance?! this place is expensive and a complete rip off! gone somewhere else from now on. read more

I would highly recommend these guys to anyone in the area. A little background: we were traveling from Edmonton, Alberta to Olympia, Washington, towing a classic car on a two-axle flatbed trailer with a half-ton pickup. On the last leg of our return trip home, coming down a mountain pass on BC Highway 3, the tread on one of our trailer tires separated. We were extremely lucky when this happened for two reasons: One, if it happened five minutes later we would have been on another 8% downgrade and in serious trouble. Two, it happened just two kilometers from the exit for Hope, BC, where Kal Tire Hope is located. We limped to the shop at about 9:30 in the morning, which is located conveniently close to the highway, hoping for a miracle. They had us in right away, and had us pull our rig behind the shop so they could service the trailer without unhitching it or unloading the classic. The trailer needed specialty tires, and they told us we were in luck, they have both new and used tires in stock for it. We asked to see the used tire, which turned out to be in brand-new condition. It even smelled like a new tire and still had the little knobs attached! Even so, they sold us the tire at a large discount over the "new" tire, which would have been in the same condition. They knew we desperately needed a new tire to get home, and they could have held us hostage with an outrageous price and lousy service, but they did not. They were extremely friendly, professional, and courteous. We expected to lose three to four hours over this little mishap, but thanks to Kal Tire Hope, we were back on the road in an hour! We were blown away by how well we were treated. They instructed us to have our wheel re-tightened on our trip home (within a certain number of miles) and gave us directions to the Kal Tire in Abbotsford, which is a bigger, newer location that still offers the same top-notch service. I would recommend Kal Tire Hope to everyone and anyone. Keep it up Kal Tire! read more

We were driving on the highway near Hope on the way back to Edmonton from Vancouver with kids in the car and a utility trailer in tow with all our camping equipment and bikes. We had a bearing go on the trailer and were stuck on the highway at 2:30 in the afternoon on a Thursday. The first places I called said they could not even look at it for a few days maybe even after the weekend. The tow truck operator recommended Kal Tire - when I called they said they could look at it but if it needed parts they didn't have in stock it would have to wait until morning. We got the trailer there by 4 and I went to find a campsite with the kids. By the time we got the tent set up and sat down to dinner at 6, Kal Tire called to say that the trailer was ready to go with a repacked bearing and they even had time to replace both tires which were in need of replacement. All 3 of the people we spoke with were very friendly and helpful and the service was overall excellent - they made a stressful situation very easy. (I also noticed that even though they were busy, they made us a priority as they saw we had kids in the car - but they still took the time to show their apprentice how to work on the trailer.) All around very impressed with the people and service at Hope Kal Tire - Thank you! read more
