After an exhaustive search in the interior of the province we decided to confer with shops on the coast. We came across A-pro Auto & after seeing so many happy customer views we decided to make an appointment with Levi and he assured me they can remove the carbon debris with a method of blasting the carbon with walnut shells which is what I had been searching for. Levi had the service done on time and a few other assorted house keeping items. The four hour trip back home was delightful the car ran EXCEPTIONALLY WELL. There was even one of the worker at the reception desk who was involved in that conversation and understtod and confirmed that they got it. Both of them understood exactly what I need. Next day I came again to confirm appointment, price and that they understood exactly what I need. Eventually when I came at the day and time of appointment, brough the new rims and set of winter tires on old rims, that woman (reseptionist) said that it's double job for them. I said back to her that she and her fellow worker were told twice what I need to be on the same page and they confirmed at that time that they got it. Very dissapointed. Right away I came to the next door auto service and they did everything I needed within 20 minutes for $150 which is a very disent price for that. Will never consider this shop to get the service.

My first impression as an old "car guy", is moderate trepidation. They seem oddly way too friendly and helpful and I got the feeling I look like a 500.00 bill hanging as low hanging fruit on a money tree. They have a lot of "helpfulness" that comes across like - that's gonna cost me... "Free inspection, free pictures, free report, free consultation" my old guy senses are on high alert. Waiting for my vehicle I was impressed to see; They calmly book folks in with smiles on their faces and methodical if not a bit confident understanding of clients issues or appointments. I was offered drinks and or coffee (self serve) and if I wanted a valet service. Their magazine rack is national geographic heavy, so you might want to bring reading material or like most folks make sure your phone is charged and take advantage of the free wifi. So as I'm sitting and waiting I get a text with my vehicle report and pictures, nice! Seems like a great value for that. Nice to get it before my meeting with my service advisor. When you walk in half the time they don't acknowledge your there and with an appointment you'll still sit and wait 30 - 45 min to just get your vehicle inside. (This service was simply a flat repair and took 2 days for an appointment) The waiting area is clean, they have coffee and the customer service reps dress nice. That's about it.. As far as value no difference from competitors. They could learn a ton from Les Schwab in the states on how to run a tire business.

If we wanted to rent out ad space to them, we'd have informed them in advance, and set a fee for doing so. But a bolt was snapped, so the unforgivable thing was to get the advertising bolted on, they drilled FOUR NEW HOLES through the body of the car. Photos taken just in case. As we don't want to deal with an insurance deductible, I'm going to seal up those four holes myself. As for the snapped-off bolt? I, an amateur with home tools, was able to drill it out using an ordinary drill and some cutting fluid in about 10 minutes, how is this beyond the skill of a professional mechanic? A closer look at the bill reveals they charged $44 to do this on top of the things that were actually asked for. $5 was for parts... the ad itself maybe?! Or was it for the 4 masonry screws they punched through the body of the car. Addendum: They admit fault, will even pay up (but only after the reviews come down), but won't offer an explanation for how it happened, nor any guarantee that they won't do it to someone else. He even gave some song and dance about how the ads are normal business practice (which they sort of are for the more desperate outfits, but they really should ask first since there's an actual dollar value to advertising - doubly so if they have to put holes through your car to do it). Zero explanation for why auto mechanics couldn't drill out a snapped bolt, had they had this skill we wouldn't even be talking about this, I'd have just quietly removed the ad that had been screwed into the official mounts. So the bad reviews stay up unless they can come up with some explanation and guarantee, that's the whole point of reviews, to spare future customers the aggravation.

Went back because I heard some front end noise. They said they didn't notice it, so I explained it was a wobble sound from the front tires. They then said you need wheel bearings, springs, and a list of other things after the first tech didn't notice anything wrong. I said no thanks I'll go somewhere else. And they charged me $100 for an inspection they should have done in the first place. Would not recommend.
