For parking, your best option is parking at one of the three designated parking lot located in different areas of the city and the shuttle will drop you off at the festival. Florence is a great place for street festivals and the pecan festival is probably their largest. There were food vendors everywhere. Some were pricy though. Beer is available at local restaurants and bars as well as festival booths. There were three stages that had different bands playing everything from jazz to blues to Motown to rock. Pecans were for sale at several booths and you can also purchase pecan pies. It's a fairly large festival taking up numerous city blocks. Definitely worth a visit.

We always enjoy walking around, checking out all the vendors, and listening to the different bands and music throughout the day. We have a condo in Myrtle Beach, so it's about an hour and twenty-minute drive to Florence. Parking can look intimidating with all the people, but just like last year, we found it wasn't bad at all -- spaces open up frequently if you're patient and drive around a bit. We walked around for a while, picked up a few things, and then grabbed lunch. The food options are endless -- BBQ, pizza, and just about anything else you could want. After lunch, we headed to the main stage to listen to the live band. We brought chairs but accidentally left them in the car, so we ended up standing, but still had a great time! Overall, it's a fun, well-organized festival with great food, music, and vendors. We're already looking forward to coming back next year. And a bonus -- Buc-ee's is only about 10 minutes away, so of course, we stopped there afterward and took the back roads back to Myrtle!

I really can't believe how well everything was laid out, pictures, information and more. We spent a little more than an hour in the museum. Then he took us into the large room where he spoke to us about all the displays from the different wars. There was a map on the wall from Nam and I showed my wife where i was. I discussed with the owner and he told us some stories about the vets that go there. They raise money to help vets and have meals there. My wife and I bought a couple of things from their store. Plenty of parking for all sizes of RV's and I would recommend going here even with children. Look up and see a Cessna crop duster hanging from the ceiling. If you are a vet or not make sure you see his displays and hear his stories.
