Kam Ying has to be the best Chinese take away in Hinckley. We live 2 minutes away from 2 Chinese takeaways but we always travel around 6 miles to Kam Ying. The menu is quite extensive and we have never had a bad meal here. The kitchen is visible and you can see the chefs cooking which I think is always really good. They do not have a delivery service but the trip to pick up your food is well worth it. We always travel to the Kam Ying instead of using our local. We started using it when we first lived in Hinckley over 10 years ago and have never had a bad meal. The staff there are great and very friendly. They know me now by what I order. They've got a large menu, although we only tend to have the same handful of dishes. They can get very busy so we tend to order earlier than needed because they seem to favour those that order at the shop. They can tell you 20 minutes and it can be over an hour sometimes - and only a stack of old magazines to flick through. They really must invest in a television. The food though is great and you can ask for changes in the dishes - leave and add things, hotter etc. A take-out is a luxury in these crunch times and the Kam Ying is definately worth your money. read more

kam ying customer for 13 years and it really is very impressive, thats why it gets busy, always worth the wait and drive from stanton but agree it needs a t.v for long waits, i think its a great takeaway and never a let down. It is a shame its not on my door step and i would use it even more. My brother also loves this place and moved to Leicester from factory rd in hinckley and has been known to drive to hinckley for a kam ying, this shows how good this places food is as he says nowhere better in Leicester. read more
