Kambo refinished an old unstable Baldwin upright piano for me. It started off missing legs, an unstable base and a light maple wood finish. It ended up impeccable, stable base repaired, new legs made for it and a warm dark finish. It perfectly matches our home now. I couldn't recommend Kambo more, he is great to work with, has a fun and kind personality and his work is amazing. For a whole year I have had a dining room chair sitting in a corner in my family room, unusable because its caned bottom had a tear in it. I would walk by that chair daily and think, "I've got to find a caner." I asked everyone I know and everyone with whom I came into contact, "do you know someone who canes?" Anyone who came to our home, "do you know someone who does caning." NO was almost always the resounding answer. If they did know someone, the person was dead or no longer had a working phone number. It was getting more depressing by the month to see that chair. Then, my new dentist had caned chairs in his waiting room, so I asked there, "who does your caning?" "Never needed fixing yet, but we have another chair being fixed, I'll ask them." When I got the name and started looking for the place, I found Satha Chheang instead. He is new to Fresno, via Marin County, and caning is his specialty. He took my chair right in, fixed it up, and now I have this good as new bentwood dining chair I can again use. Satha does very good work and is not reasonably priced. If I did what he did, and there was such a demand, I would be expensive too. I'm just glad he decided to move to Fresno even though he does still return to the Bay area to do work for his clients there. read more

Kambo works miracles!! My Husky decided to use our massive Ethan Allen bookcase as a chew toy. He destroyed all corners of the bookcase. We spent about a year trying to find someone to help us with repairing this piece of furniture. Finally, I located Kambo. The dining room chairs I have had since the 1970's has caning in the back of the chairs and a few of them got holes in the caning. I took my chairs there and he did a beautiful job of matching and replacing the old caning. You can't tell which ones had been replaced. Extremely happy. It is quite an art for someone to be able to do that. read more
