My husband is deaf in one ear and cannot hear good in the other, and they would not let me in at all to help him understand what this surgery would be about. I go in on all of his appts because of his hearing, so one of us has a full understanding of what it entails. And before us they took in a very old lady by herself with a walker, and you can tell she did not have all her facilities, while her daughter kept saying " I need to go in with her" " Please". She could not go in. It is obvious that these are not compassionate doctors. It is a sad statement. No other Dr. has ever done this is us. That's why you should schedule your routine eye exam four months in advance. If you don't have an ophthalmologist - I would recommend getting one if your insurance allows it. Because if you get something in your eye and it is an emergency then it is much better if you are already established with an office. Then you know right away who to call when you get chemicals and wood in your eye or something.
