Some of the Breakfast options. Not fake eggs - very delicious.

The rooms were nice & clean, the breakfast was delicious, staff was very nice & the beds were very comfortable. All around great stay! Also, if you have a pet traveling with ya, they are pet friendly & have a good place for them to run highly recommended!

We are on our road trip on our way to California and we need 1 night to stay over night after 11 hrs of driving and we needed a hotel and this popped right away when I saw the good reviews. Yes! It's a cute little hotel if you only need to stay for 1 night.. the staff are very nice and friendly. The room is cute with a touch of country style home, there are 2 things I didn't really like was #1 the toilet is dirty or ( stained ???) Second I am probably too spoiled sleeping on a good mattress. The mattress is just ok but it has my favorite turquoise bedding :-) so it made me smile! And also thank you for the wonderful breakfast with good ambiance and just like what other people says.. it's like visiting grandma's house Other than that! We enjoyed our 1 night stay and we left on time heading to Colorado. Thanks again to all the friendly staff

Pleasantly surprised with hotel! I found it driving on a road trip. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. It's not the fault of the hotel, but a few things of note; the ceiling in the bathroom was very low and it also reeked of cow manure anytime you were outside.

Found the reviews for the Kansas Country Inn on a trip to Colorado and decided to give it a try. We are so glad we did! Great throwback motel with clean rooms and bathrooms, comfy beds, super nice guests staying there. Nice small pool with towels provided. The hotel staff is lovely and accommodating, and makes the best (and included) country-style breakfast. We will return when we come through!

It's never a good feeling when you're in the middle of Kansas and a winter storm decides to roll through with vengeance. We were headed to Colorado Springs from KC and ended up getting stuck in Oakley due to the bad roads. With no other choice, we needed to find a hotel that would accommodate dogs as well which is how we came across the Kansas Kountry Inn. Apparently, there are rooms that have been renovated or upgraded, but that was not the case for our room assignment. We were provided a room on the second level which also allowed dogs. There website lists that each pet is a $5 charge, but that has not been updated on the site and is now $10/pet. It's not a terrible increase, but we are not left with much of a choice when the selection of hotels are very limited in a small town. The room was warm when the heater was on, but it cooled very quickly the second the heat kicked off. You can tell the building isn't insulated the best. Either way, we were grateful to even find accommodations for all of us. I was also thankful for the breakfast that's provided by the Inn. It was completely unexpected with their selection and quality of ingredients. It may have been small but it was mighty and filled our bellies with happiness. The staff was very nice and friendly, the breakfast was surprisingly decent, and the room provided a place for us to lay our heads.

We arrived after a long day of driving from Denver and were able to snag a room with a Queen bed for $50 flat. I was actually quoted $55 with tax but later received a call that they would bring it down to $50. Sweet! There seemed to be some confusion when getting my info from the call. When we got there, it turns out that a couple from West Virginia took over a few weeks ago and was still working out the kinks of running the motel. The couple is very kind and are clearly making the best of their new situation. They offered us coffee in the morning, and left a thank you note on our windshield in case we left without saying bye. They're friendly and will definitely make you felt taken care of during your stay! The room was very clean, and the bed was comfortable. The decor may be a little outdated, but it's great for a $50 good night's rest. Definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a spot to spend the night in Western Kansas.

The yellow ceramic tile in the bathroom was awesome as well as the asphalt floor tile. However the first thing I noticed when I opened the door to the room was how clean the carpet was. The rest of the room was clean and comfortable as well, even had that springy mattress that we used to love to jump on as kids. The bed was comfortable as well. The owners are just as nice as can be and will recommend the best place in town to eat. We will stay here again should the the opportunity arise.

It's the classic "off-ramp inn", with a dirt parking lot, older buildings, a old lady and her dog as your hosts, entrance pillars re-located from Denver's old Villa Italia Mall, plus a giant stuffed animal in your room. Not to mention the vintage 70's furniture, rug and paneling. In short, if you stay here I can almost guarantee you'll be telling friends about it. Whether those stories are good or bad are up to you (mine are "good"). You need to be in a jovial, adventurous mood before checking in. As a cool bonus, the Free Breakfast Inn gives you...well, a Free Breakfast. The Colonial Inn is another classic off-ramp institution (they even had those old IQ tester peg games at their tables!). Heck, both of these establishments are located at the same exit as the infamous "World's Largest Prairie Dog". That should tell you all you need to know! I stayed here my first night away from Denver on a road trip to St. Louis. The other nights I ended up at chain hotels-- all were equally forgettable. But on my way back to Denver, I passed the Oakley exit of the Free Breakfast Inn...and felt like tooting my horn to say "thanks".
