Kim really gets this, though. He studies your face, he cares that your hair works with it, he gives you advice. Then he cranks his music up and he goes for it. His cutting-style is like some crazy piece of performance art but, somehow, it totally works. This is literally the first time in my life that I've ever been 100% happy with a haircut from a salon. I don't even need to use any products (and he doesn't use any products when he cuts). I've had like fifty compliments in two days. I can't recommend him highly enough - I'm moving a really long way away next year, and I am already trying to figure out how I can factor in a trip back to Brussels on a regular enough basis to keep him as my hairdresser. The result made me happy. The second time, however: what a disappointment. The hairdresser felt very uneasy - almost nervous - cutting my hair. His hand was unstable and he seemed lost at what to do. The result is an uninspired bob, a haircut I could easily have had with a low budget hairdresser. I left the salon after 25 minutes (with my hair still wet!), feeling very uneasy and ugly. My hair was a proper mess; dull, messy with uneven lengths and not flattering to my face at all. No one would believe it if I said I just came back from the hairdresser's.
