We tried 3 Karahis: -Shrimp -Goat Karahi - Karahi Boys Special Chicken Karahi All of them were really good and not too spicy but the goat was our favorite. My cousin's was the shrimp. The garlic naan was a perfect delivery vessel, lol. Lots of fresh garlic and butter. The Malai Boti was tender and juicy and perfectly seasoned. This was the best meal we had in Toronto. Amazing. Don't miss this place. The service was slow and my son sat there without a plate even after the food had gotten there for ten mins. None of the waitresses wanted to do anything but their own job. Until I didn't get frustrated they didn't get everyone in our party their plate. So I would advise that you make sure that your party has their plates, utensils, drinks before placing your order. It was getting late so maybe it was that. I won't take off a star for 1 flustered waitress and 1 that just didn't want to do anything but her own job because the food was amazing. Seriously would come back for just that goat karahi. Restaurant is nice and clean. The restroom was impressive because it was clean and was very wheelchair friendly. Karahi Boys restaurant is the best! I have had heard so much about this Restaurant, and I finally got to try it , during my visit to Canada. This place is totally worth the hype . Love the colorful interiors and beautiful setting. The menu has a large selection of Karahi, Kebabs, biryani and more. Goat Karahi might be my new favourite dish! We ordered goat karahi, two chicken karahis (one boneless), a delicious beef kebab and a beef behari, a garlic naan, and a family sized naan! I really enjoyed my food here at Karahi Boys. Venue was big, spacious, a lot of seating. Parking was easy as well. Menu was concise and overall easy to understand. DIshes were described and so you generally know what to expect. As someone that's unfamiliar with karahi, it was good to have these descriptions. Overall portions are decent and prices are slightly higher but the quality of the food is there. Definitely uses a good amount of herbs and spices but nothing is overpowering or salty. Beef Behari Boti 3.5/5 - meat was tender, but did get dry after sitting out a bit - rich flavours of spices, not overpowering, but nothing too special - price was a bit steep for the amount provided - onions as base was nicely caramelized and well seasoned Charsi Karahi (KB Special) 4/5 - heavy on spice, rich in flavour, tomato notes shines through - good amount of chicken, peppers were spicy but adds another dimension to the dish - perfect pairing with their naan or rice, but doesnt come with the price - a bit steep in pricing, but the half portion is nice to share if you want to try other dishes as well Naan 5/5 - very soft and fluffy - warm to touch, perfect for dipping or simply just enjoying - even after sitting for a good while, was still soft and pillowy, but after a good hour or two, definitely will be harder - overall well made, didnt get the family one that stands up, but I think these smaller portions are more worth it than a large single naan Overall would love to come back and try the other karahi. He made the experience terrible for us and he was very unapologetic for screwing up our reservation and then making us wait two hours! Once seated we waited about fifteen minutes and there were servers walking around and standing at the corner tables just talking to one another. I had to get up and ask one server myself to take my order! Parwindar our waitress was absolutely lovely! She was so efficient and sweet! She made sure to check in time to time and ask or see if we needed anything else. At her gentle insistence I actually got a few extra items that were so delicious! She was one of the main reasons I enjoyed this restaurant. Biryani is terrible. All you will taste is garam masala in it. Everything is good though. Just make sure when you check in and if there is a young kid at the counter (light skin and black hair) you make him repeat all info back to you bc he will most definitely mess it up. read more

I must've passed by at least five times before I FINALLY made it to the restaurant. Every time I drop by or I call, there's a minimum wait time of 1 hour. So I decided to drop by during lunch time instead. I wasn't disappointed because for one; I got an amazing lunch offer (ONLY $13.55 including tax for a chicken Kabob platter with daal, rice, naan & salad!) and two; the food was AMAZING. By the taste you can already tell that it's cooked fresh. I also enjoy how the food is not too spicy (for "brown" food). It's just right. The platter is big enough to share with someone else or if you're feeling really hungry, you might finish it by yourself. I'm looking forward to eating here again. Typical wait time is min 1 hour but only because their menu is made fresh to order, the whole visit is over 2 hours in total which delays everyone else's wait time. My review is based on my takeout experience which was very different from dine-in experience 2 years ago. I ordered Kboys Karahi Chicken, Palak Paneer and garlic naan. All 3 disappointed. Chicken had bones in it. I almost broke a tooth. Who the hell does bone-in chicken by default? You go to a restaurant to enjoy boneless chicken. Too much oil in chicken. $24 for something that normally costs $16 or $17 is also not contributing to a great takeout experience. Otherwise, it was quite tasty but excess oil spoiled the dish for me. Palak paneer was way too oily and pasty, which is an indicator of low quality. I was genuinely disappointed in palak paneer. I've been to way too many Indian restaurants to tell low-quality Indian food from high-quality Indian food. Garlic naan was more like puffy pita than a proper garlic naan. Overall, I spent $47 on something that was low-quality, way too oily and greasy. Karahi Boys, you've lost a customer. read more

It came highly recommended from a very good friend. We went in for a late evening dinner on Christmas dinner. It is a large space with lots of tables and beautifully decorated. The place was busy and noisy but the servers are very cautious and on their feet. The menu is limited to two pages, we settled for a chicken karahi, butter Naan and a garlic naan. The chicken karahi was average and have had better. The garlic naan was definitely the savior of the day. The karahi was $22 + taxes for about 500gms enough for two people. I have always been a fan of Indian food but I have never tried authentic Pakistani food. After hearing some good reviews about Karahi Boys I decided to give them a try at the Mississauga location. The moment I walked in I loved the interior it was well decorated and appealing. I ordered their karahi chicken specialty with naan and a biriyani. Goat karahi is GOAT(Greatest of All Time)! I'm very picky about Pakistani food as I am a pakistani and thus, my standards are pretty high :P However, these guys did a pretty good job on the karahi, you can see whole spices(khara masala) in the food which not a lot of places put. Garlic and Til wala naans were pretty amazing too. Malay boti was a bit lacking in taste. Also, their service is really good now, going by the previous reviews it wasn't always great, but I was there last weekend at a very busy time and had a pretty good time. We were told to wait 45 mins for a table for 2 people, but only had to wait about 20. Once seated, we thought the food is going to take a long time to come, but the food came pretty fast as well, despite the restaurant being at capacity, the server checked on us frequently to make sure we had everything. I loved their ambience and background music as well, very good proper dining place vibe unlike most Pakistani restaurants. Another rant, i read people complaining about prices, let me clarify, it is ENTIRELY reasonable for a half kg karahi to be priced at $35 dollars which can feed two people easily. This isn't your run of the mill gravy karahi, it's made with real whole spices which cost a lot of money! If you can eat a $17-20 Linguine Alfredo with basic ingredients available for cheap prices, surely you can pay proper money for a proper karahi! read more

Since Karahi is one of my favourite dishes, I could not wait to try this place out! We visited during peak time, around 7pm on Saturday and were given one of those restaurant pagers to secure our place in line. The restaurant is a lot smaller than I expected with barely any waiting space inside so everyone was standing outside or sitting in their cars, waiting for their pagers to vibrate. After approximately 40 minutes, we finally got a table. The interior is stunning with a rustic type décor, faux white brick walls that are adorned with lots and lots of picture frames and exquisite wooden lighting fixtures. We ordered the Bihari Kabab, 1/2 kg Namak Mandi Goat Karahi, raita and the famous family naan from their limited 'Ramazan Menu.' I found our waiter a little pushy in telling us what to order and they also seemed to have a lack of staff for such a busy evening. I was a little surprised that they charge for absolutely everything - usually raita or a basic salad is included with the Karahi. It took approximately half an hour or more for the food to arrive. I do love the fact that their Karahis are made fresh and take time to prepare but having already waited so long, we were seriously starving when that food finally came out. The meal was absolutely delicious! The Bihari kabab was soft and the taste was spot on, the Karahi itself, which looked flawless served in its actual karahi dish, was bursting with flavour and the huge naan went alongside perfectly. The raita was basically plain yoghurt so that was quite disappointing as we expected more seeing as it was not included. Everything tasted as it should - genuine delicious Pakistani food. This however, did not make up for the steep prices as there are plenty of other restaurants in the area that serve the same dishes but none charge $32 for a Karahi that is supposedly for 2-4 people. Overall, I did enjoy the meal, ambiance and the experience as a whole (authentic Karahi dish and the novelty 'standing' naan bread). Karahi Boys' décor and presentation definitely is one of its strengths and worth a visit for that alone. It is a shame however, that I found the attitude of its staff quite rude in trying to hurry us and the prices being ridiculously steep so I probably will not be visiting again when next in Toronto. read more

Tried out this place with a ouple of friends recently. We ordered the mushtunda tandoori wings for starters, the Kboys chicken karahi, chana daal karahi and rhe gosht khor platter. We also ordered some till and some regular naan. The food was absolutely delicious! The chicken karahi could do with a bit more masala, as it was yummy and we couldn't get enough of it! And the daal was also finger licking good! The platter on the other hand though being quite yummy and the meat succulent, fell short of expectations priced at $40 and an extremely small serving (one guy/girl could easily polish that off alone!) This place gets 4 stars for the inapprorpiate pricing of dishes...karahi at $32! And as mentioned earlier (small) platter for $40! The cost quickly added up! I read reviews on Yelp about desserts also being over priced and small servings, so we skipped that. Overall, nice decor, service and ambience, great food, but seriously over priced! Oh, and it takes about 30 mins for the order to come (they make it fresh and we knew that going in, so no comments on that front- but that led to no food pictures as we were famished when it came and just dug in!) :) read more

My husbands fav food is chicken karahi so this place was a must try. We arrived on a Sunday at 6:15 pm and we didn't get served food till after 7! They were serving one table at a time! We ordered garlic naan 10/10 Family naan 9/10 Chicken karahi 8/10 Bihari kabob 8/10 Kheer 6/10( very very small portion) Gulabjamun 10/10 So this place is very over priced. We are paki/indian we we know the running rate of these dishes. They even charged us for raita (yogurt dip) and salad! Normally actually always that comes With your entree. After hearing so many people rave about Karahi Boyz, my husband and I along with some of our friends decided to eat here last night. Walking in the place looked really nice and clearly it was packed for a Sunday night. It looked very promising. Once we all decided what we wanted, we waited anxiously for our food to arrive. Out of everything we ordered which included the Chicken Karahi, Chicken Biryani, Lahori fish, Beef Kabob, and Family naan...the only thing done right was the naan. the Beef Kabob and fish were alright, but I was SHOCKED at how BLAND this food was. It has absolutely no taste, no spice, it didn't even have enough SALT. If I need to ask for salt at a restaurant, you know it ain't good. The Chicken Karachi had no taste, the chicken biryani had no masala and the chicken looked like it had been roasted and just dumped in with the rice. All four of us were disappointed beyond belief. It was the biggest desi food let down I have ever experienced. And then the bill came...$107 dollars for 4 people. I couldn't believe it. I will not be eating at Karahi Boyz again and for those who rave about this place, I seriously question your taste buds.
