My Bichon Frise, Chippy, doesn't let me brush or bathe him. I affectionately call him hell boy. I'm so glad I found Karen's Diva Dog. I have bringing my miniature dachshund Lily to Karen's since she was 11 months old (she is now 6). Everytime they have done a wonderful job and the only complaint I get from them is that she is very wiggily but I have never heard them say she's been difficult. Last time Lily went she had matted hair under her one leg and before I handed her over, I informed them that it's matted. I figured they would just use scissors to get it out since mats tend to get jammed in the razors. When I received Lily and we got home, I noticed she was bleeding. She had a cut under her left upper arm pit. We were never informed that she got hurt. I was so incredibly shocked. I called them immediately, left a voicemail about what I found. With this I was followed by a voice mail about how difficult she is grooming and how we should really invest in medicine for her before she gets groomed. They also said that I should have been informed about the wound, but I guess they "forgot". Now as of September 24th, we are up to almost $3,100 in medical bills from this cut. The wound is not closing and she has to have been getting laser treatments for twice a week to try and close it up. The vet informed us that there was wound glue where the cut was which means they knew about the cut, put wound glue on (which I wouldn't consent to) and forget to tell me about this. She has been in a cone for almost 5 weeks and is miserable. She has been on antibiotics, pain medication, gabapentin, wound cleaner and wound ointment. I have to say, this was one of the biggest disappointments in a very long time. read more

Took my golden retriever there a couple times. The first time she came back and her nose was completely raw on top. The final time we took her they shaved right down her back. In my opinion this is animal cruelty to shave an animal straight down her back and mess her coat up. As well as her nose which is still raw. This place is awful and you should not take you pet here. Awful service and very cruel to animals. Tried to talk it out but they denied treating her that way. read more

I used this groomer twice, first time I was charged ten dollars more than I was quoted and the second time she said she had to shave my dog . She butchered the top knot on my poodle ! Again she charged me ten dollars plus tax more than I was quoted ! She has a real attitude, definitely not a people person ! Refused to return my calls ! Very rude ! read more

This was my second time here . The first time I was pleased. When I dropped my dog off today he didn't want to go but I didn't think much of that. I got there a little early to pick him up ( they hadn't called that my dog was ready). I walked in as someone was leaving so no one knew I was there . I could here the owner yelling at my dog " stop . Stay still . I'm done with this . Stop it stop it etc" I was going to record it but instead I opened and shut the door again hard and the voice tone changed " oh look mommy is here etc" I'm not sure if she knew I had heard because when she brought my dog out she sort of ran away His hair cut is good but the yelling was not worth that. read more

Picked up dog after grooming. In car noticed blood stain on paw where nails had clearly been cut too short and an abrasion on the paw pad. Within 20mins of returning home her nail began bleeding profusely. Nothing mentioned by staff who acted like everything was fine. If you care about your pet stay away!! read more

First time taking our dog there and it will be our last. My dog came home traumatized, throwing and up shaking. I have a golden and asked for him to be trimmed up. Instead, they shaved my golden down to his skin. The buzzer marks are uneven and it appeara they knicked his neck. read more

I love taking our Shih Tzu here. They cut him perfect and he smells great when I pick him up. He likes them too, he goes willingly to them which says alot about the way he is treated there. The place smells decent, most grooming places smell like piss. Parking is good. Their pricing is fair. My dog has longer hair, they take the time to groom him instead of just taking the easy way out and shaving him. This is my go to groomer. read more

We love Karen's Doggy Spa! :) We've taken our small rescue mutt twice, once to have her nails clipped and paws trimmed, and the second time for the works. Karen's prices are extremely reasonable and she gave our girl a great cut - we didn't want her to be shaved because she has some long-haired dachshund qualities and Karen gave her a lovely cut to complement her coat. I also really appreciate how knowledgeable Karen is about dogs and the different conditions they can have (our poor girl has plenty) so she could be sensitive to that. This is my first visit at this groomers they were friendly professional and my Getty looked great. I took him in at 11 am and had him home by 1 pm. Getty had been mishandled and badly groomed at another groomer 2 days before this visit and Diva Dog Salon fixed everything that was wrong. Also you could tell Getty enjoyed his visit. read more

This was the first time I took our dog here. Her fur was matted. She is the type of dog that does not shed and has thick curly hair, she is older and has not been feeling well. I told them this. We have owned her for over 14 years. This was the most expensive I have ever paid someone to groom her in 14 years. She looks awful and the owner has a very poor attitude. She could have gained a new regular customer (I had been using Jiggles and Wiggles in Voorhees for over 2 years and NEVER had any problems) I will drive the extra distance and keep going there. read more
