I went in for the first time ever today, was greeted by a thick haze making it impossible to see what was in front of me, and waded my way toward what I thought was a counter. A girl walked from the back and I asked for an Aero tank. The girl said sure, grabbed one, and walked over to the register. A quick glance behind the glass allowed me to see the typical slew of chinese made mods available online. In typical Fayetteville fashion, the girl seemed completely uninterested in helping me at all whatsoever. She then blew me off even more after I mentioned I had been using EVOD's and needed something with 510. Apparently someone that uses an EVOD isn't up to snuff for Madvapes. Here's the kicker. Before ringing me up, she asked if I had a military ID. I asked why, and she told me it would get me a 10% discount. I asked why that discount wasn't available to everyone, to which she replied "well, it's to show our appreciation. We give it to police too." Here's a newsflash: try appreciating ALL of your customers equally, considering we're all there to give you our money. So I did actually tell her that, and then, because I had made the drive all the way out to the middle of nowhere by post on Riley Rd (to keep from suffering having to go to Hope Mills...), I forked over the $30, said thankyou, and left. What the chick wouldn't find out, because she obviously wasn't interested in helping after hearing I was replacing an EVOD, was that it would be sitting atop my Semovar and Kick 2 mechanical, because I'm just tired of building coils for my Kayfun 3.1 or Kayfun Mini, and unlike the crowd there, I'm just as happy using those devices as I am with my Vision Spinner 2 topped by an EVOD- my perfect work combo. What's really sad is this shop is preying on people by giving the impression that they are selling good products, but they're just selling the same ol' stuff you can get from any online shop without the BS. To be honest, as a heavy modder and "cloud chaser", I was a little disappointed at first with the…read moresales person having little or no knowledge of some component brands which are very common in vape communities in several cities I have been in, but that was only an initial impression. Later, after reading about your policy to not have employees discuss any builds they are not confidently knowledgeable about, it all made sense and I completely understand the need for such policy when it comes to customer safety. Perhaps someday you may consider some sort of membership for more advanced customers who become regulars, where members and staff can speak more openly about personal preferences and builds. Overall, the service was exceptional, pleasant and friendly, and despite being on the far side of town, I'd rather shop at this location when opportunity avails. The price was fair and I love my new subohm SMOK tank which came with three different coil/core options. I could have had it for less than the original list price, but the sales person was very nice and informed me of a few discount options and the rest of the price difference was still much more appealing than having to wait on shipping. Not to mention, the store is a much better atmosphere than online shopping and it's always better to see things with my own eyes, instead of relying on online photos and unclear descriptions, as well as having it the same day. Five stars as-is, but my advice for improving, would be to work on expanding some of the staff's experience and knowledge a bit if possible, since many, both new and custom build users, often look to the vape lounges and shops for advice and suggestions. Many of the shops I've been to in other states offer such advice, while still able to warn against risky practices for the less experienced.
