I've been asking for months for an accounting of their work and Jeff Morrell threatened to call the police if I show up to ask for a $14,000 accounting. Also as a black woman I advice everyone to avoid this law firm. I've had to call Chicago in order to file a complaint and I've made one with the bar of Wisconsin. I'm also seeing what I can do as far as spreading the word about them being fraudulent as well as racist. CORDELL HAS NOW STOLEN NEARKY $15K FROM ME. THEY ARE CROOKS…read more Does Cordell Law think I'm going to stop to their multiple flagging attempts? They are crooked lawyers who steal from people, but they can't take away my freedom of speech. They can try to silence me, but I helped defend this country and if our military gave up-we would no longer be a nation. Cordell Law took $13K in fees (now $15K) and did not support or defend me in court- actually misled and lied about how the proceedings were going to progress (everything they said and how it conflicted with the court is documented, not a false accusation). They left my daughter to be a victim of an abusive, hoarder "mother" in Oshkosh, WI. Even with volumes of pictures and documentation, they simply sat in court and said nothing. In fact, my lawyer acted like he may have taken too much cough medicine. He was lethargic and acted like he couldn't wait to get out of the court room. After the hearing, he flew off to spend Thanksgiving with family while I had my daughter crying in my arms asking why my lawyer was on "mom's side". I was embarrassed and my daughter is still being abused-now because of Cordell Law, who lies that they fight for dad's. Could not be further from the truth. I believe my Cordell Lawyer was friends with the opposing attorney or owed him a favor-exactly how he acted. When I asked for a refund, they simply said, " good luck in the future". $3500 for a court case they came in, sat there, objected to nothing, and left faster than referees for an NFL game. Cordell does not support men or fathers. They only take people's money. They lie to get you to choose them. I spent $15K and received zero more rights, zero time increase, and zero help in rescuing my daughter from her abusive mother-now they stole my $1800 refundable retainer)-actually now they say I owe them an additional $49.00 on top, so we are ALMOST $15K SPENT AND THEY DID NOTHING!!! Please do not choose Cordell Law-this has multiple flags-obviously instead of doing the right thing, they try to silence those of us who continue to fight for our rights. I won't stop writing simply because Cordell keeps flagging. As a previous client, like me, said: "They screwed me over too...nothing but a bunch of crooks,  I would have done better without a lawyer at all" I have contacted the Wisconsin Office of Lawyer Regulations so I'm sure they'll be aggressive to defend their lack of action. Cordell Law does nothing for dad's or fathers. It's a complete misrepresentation. Don't believe their positive client reviews. And formers client in St. Louis, MO: "Yes they did nothing for me also" And, "My dad was scammed by Cordell also. He paid $12K, simple divorce, no kids. They drug it out for over a year & wasn't going to fight his ex wife trying to get his pension" And another from Chesterfield, MO (home of their main office): "I used them over 10 years ago and I thought they ripped me off as well!   I tell any of my friends or people that ask not to use them." And another client.... "I used them to fight a modification in 2002, paid them around $30k, and they were totally worthless.  I did much of the work for them, laid out all the facts, but they ignored it because they wanted to lose or didn't want to look like they were argumentative.  If you only lost $13k you're lucky." The real Cordell is being exposed- UPDATE 12/30: Cordell wrote back to me and said they said my retainer was spent and they would refund $69.00! This retainer was promised to never be used, it was there to spend against my credit card and they lied and said they used it down to $69.00 (out of $1800)!!! CORDELL ARE CROOKS-PLAIN AND SIMPLE. DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR BUSINESS. THEY LIE, STEAL, AND DECEIVE YOU!!! UPDATE 1/3/20: They have now billed me $49.00 extra dollars, for "services rendered". They are nearing $15K and I'm not going to pay their $49, because no services were rendered. They are horrible people, not just lawyers but people with no conscious. DONT use them. This launched us into nearly 2 more years of accusations all of which were staunchly refuted by professionals assigned by the court. So not only did Attorney Jung have to do her job she served as a pillar of sorts. She had to endure my interruptions as she talked me down from being upset with my Ex wife. She always but my girls first and never started a call without first asking how they were doing. In the end I received a fair judgement which is what I wanted in the first place. She took care of everything and her explanations were simple and to the point. She out classed the opposing attorney and her requests were accepted by the judge as we had hoped. I recommend Cordell & Cordell and especially Attorney Jung very highly.
