They had been great up until they were bought out by Go Auto, and for me, the service went rapidly downhill. (a tip... never take your vehicle to a shop that has it's service writers on commission.) After polling friends who were Volks Folks, the number 1 recommendation was Dubsport, so with a needed tune up looming, I paid a visit. Dubsport is just the sort of place I love. One guy running a bustling little shop, who offers excellent service and value, and is willing to answer your questions honestly. Richard was extremely helpful and accommodating, and did a wonderful job on the car. On a couple of occasions since, he has helped me with inquiries and minor issues quickly and painlessly, and I am now a diehard Dubsport fan. I recommend this spot highly, if you are suffering from dealership abuse, or you just love your Volkswagen / Audi and want someone who will treat it right.

With this and a bunch of other repairs the bill was much less than what any of the dealers wanted to charge me just for the turbo replacement. I have sent several friends there and they are nice enough to tell you ahead of time if it is worth it. A friends transmission was failing and he let her know how much the fix would cost and the fact that replacing the solenoid as it was saying would most probably not solve it and it would require a full trans replacement. So she could decide ahead of time that it was not worth it to start down that road on an old vehicle that the repairs would cost more than it would be worth. Dealers would have done the initial repair knowing that it would just have been pouring money into a hole.

Updating my review…read more Still coming to Chase and his team at Gate Avenue Service - I think we've brought 4 vehicles here now over 10 years. First and most importantly, Chase and his team are honest and hard working. They are extremely busy but always make time to diagnose and give second opinions. They have saved me money and given me solid advice multiple times when dealerships were leaving me astray. Most recently Chase and his team helped me to advocate (aka fight) Hyundai to get a replacement on my engine. Chase provided me all the documentation that Hyundai required not once, but twice, and in paper and in e-mail after Hyundai "misplaced" it. Chase did both of these requests same day. Chase has seen me at my worst (in tears) completely overwhelmed with car stress (and I don't speak car) and also completely flustered trying to explain what felt off with my vehicle when I seriously was not describing it well. The team at Gate is always courteous and treat me and all the customers I have ever seen with respect. The only limitation or downside with Gate is that they are really busy - and for good reason! So you may have to wait a bit for an appointment but they will always treat you right! PS They offer a program to store your tires for you! Autobody shops aren't the kind of place you just wander into and think "hey, I should get some work…read moredone on my car." You go looking when it's necessary, but where do you go? We were referred to Balwin Collision by our insurer and we got lucky. All of our dealings with Balwin Collision were excellent. The manager was very friendly and helpful and helped us through the process in evaluating the damage to our car and getting it fixed. The work on our car was done quickly and everything looks better than before. I know the outside of a car has to be cleaned before painting any of it but our whole car looked like it had a new paint job. It looks great! The last thing I expected was for the car to be cleaned inside but the interior was spotless, even the trunk! I swear they had to have steam cleaned everything. For obvious reasons, I hope I never have to use Balwin Collision's services again, but it is Edmonton after all, so I just might. And if I do need an autobody shop again, I won't hesitate to call these guys.

My husband took his car in to this place to get fixed and had to go back 4 time to get them to fix…read morestuff that they created .first time was to inspect a coolant leek and left with a cam shaft sensor light came on a bunch now replacing it, second time coolant seemed to be fixed but only lasted a month (1400 bucks ) AND a new oil leak, so my husband fixed the oil leak himself. Third time they so called fixed the coolant leak for the second time and ANOTHER new problem with oil pressure sensor. This garage should be investigated . Just read the reviews , this one is the same as the rest because it's true ! You will have bigger issues and there are 6 mechanics there . Unbelievable
