Karyn Lee Portrait Couture specializes in Corporate photography, including school portraits, dance schools, corporate headshots, event coverage and product photography. Karyn Lee's specialty also includes Wedding and Family Fine Art portraiture. Karyn Lee is a Nationally Award Winning, Nationally Accredited Professional Photographer (PPOC) and an Associate Photographer (MPOC), as well as having been accepted into the prestigious CMPro program.
History
Established in 2009.
My name is Karyn Lee, and I am a Nationally Accredited, Award Winning Photographer and graphics artist living in High River, Alberta.
When did it all begin? When did it really begin for anyone? I never purchased a camera thinking "Gee, one day I'd like to be a professional photographer."
I never even thought "Gee, one day I'd actually like to be a good hobbyist photographer."
I just wanted to experiment and play. I wanted to try things, and really see what my camera could do.
And that's it. I never woke up one morning planning on becoming a professional photographer. I just woke up every morning wanting to learn something more. And along the way, I became a professional photographer. There is no one defining moment I can look back on and say with any sort of certainty "Yes, this is when I officially became a professional photographer."
I only know that I love my job, I love my clients, and I want to keep learning.
Meet the Business Owner: Karyn L.
I am 28 years old. I'm a wife. And I'm a mama.
It is extremely important to me to keep my skills up to date, and to gauge my progress through the participation in professional organizations.
I still watch cartoons. I don't like reality TV.
I like to watch sports and events that are off the beaten path, like curling, gymnastics and fencing. But nothing beats a good old fashioned game of Hockey. Go Flames, Go.
I'm loud, and I'm bossy. I run a tight ship. But I'm not judgemental, and I'm kind.
I like all sorts of music, and I sing it at the top of my lungs quite shamelessly and often in public. My dancing could use some improvement.
If I had endless amounts of time and no responsibility, I'd spend all day with my horse.
I like to make cupcakes, mostly just so I can eat the batter.
I do not like paper cuts, the smell of seafood, holes in my socks and scary movies.
