Food choices were not the greatest and compare to similar services, it's on the bottom of my list. But overall the experience was not bad and if I have to, I will stay there again.

Small table for cards or eating, kitchenette had what we needed. Small maintenance issue with missing drain plug in tub was fixed right away. Kids said the water slide was excellent and begged to go back... even though we did WEM a few days prior? ... anyway it was fast and they liked it. Breakfast was included but not to our liking; we chose to eat out instead. No fresh fruit or pastries. There were toast and bagels and yogurt and hot foods, we are just choosy. There was a little French place nearby that was delightful.

I found this hotel to be restful and quiet, which is what I crave when I'm working from a hotel. The reception staff were helpful and courteous. The morning breakfast was simple but it filled me up and was fairly good for hotel food. I have had some better and a lot worse. Interesting note: After the housekeeping staff figured out I was by myself and slept on one side of the bed, they customized the pillow setup when they made my bed. Nice little gesture that show the attention to each customer. Helpful Hint: The parking lot does fill up rather quickly in the evening, so park at the front lobby to unload if you have a passenger.

The staff we dealt with were all very kind and helpful (Front desk, breakfast staff, maintenance man). The Bad: we were not told that housekeeping was only available for stays of 5 night or longer. At 4 PM on our second day, we were surprised that the room hadn't been cleaned yet so we called the front desk and asked if our garbage could be emptied and for new towels. We were given towels and garbage bags and told to empty the garbage ourselves. The next day, our room again wasn't cleaned so we visited the front desk where we were advised of the no-housekeeping policy for stays less than 5 nights. We asked if just our carpet could be vacuumed, as we have a crawling baby and didn't want her crawling on an unclean carpet. The front desk staff member left the desk and returned with a vacuum, which we then had to bring to our 3rd floor room, vacuum, and return to the desk. I have never experienced this before in an otherwise nice hotel. We certainly didn't expect a deep clean, new bedding or anything of that sort, but when paying $180 per night for a 3 night stay basic services like garbage emptying and vacuuming is expected. This policy really undermines the otherwise great service we experienced.

From the moment we arrived we felt like we were visiting family. Josephine and Raghu were incredibly welcoming and helpful, offering us refreshments, genuine conversation and later dinner recommendations with directions. We stayed in the Dublin room which was not only full of history, from the hand done crosses on the bed to the frame itself all the way from Ireland but also very cozy. Josephine is a woman of detail, thoughtfulness, and caregiving towards her guests. Now onto the food which was absolutely fantastic. For breakfast we enjoyed fresh squeezed orange juice, berry panna cotta, and the most amazing egg & green onion croissant sandwich (along with more riveting conversation with Josephine) on beautiful China. The next day when we had to leave early she put together a lovely breakfast to go with some of her homemade muffins. All in all it was the perfect relaxing ending to our stay in Canada and we will definitely come back and recommend to all who visit Calgary.

We had a bunch of appy's: nachos, garlic mushrooms, veggie platter, etc. Yum! If you are visiting from Calgary or out of town there is also a cool option for $89 to stay the night. This ends up being cheaper than a cab and makes it a nice little country get away. Come Friday night - there is always live music! We had hoped they would accommodate a tiny wedding, and they did not disappoint. Everything from the first email, to the subsequent visits, has been over the top amazing. I had considered waiting to write this until our event was completed, but honestly, you neeed to know about this place. It is so posh and perfect, everyone who works there is on fire to make your experience amazing. Entering the gate into the estate sets the tone for the experience you are about to have. We came to tour the estate, brilliant experience, they have every single tiny detail perfected. Our engagement photos followed by some drinks in the beautiful Opal dining room? The photos are stunning, and we were so touched that a server we had not met yet congratulated us on our upcoming wedding. We are probably not this venue's typical clientele, but we have been treated like royalty since our very first contact. If you are ever so lucky as to have the chance to work with Trevor, jump on that opportunity. He is so amazing at what he does and takes care of all the little details you might not have even considered, which just adds to the magic of this place. If you are looking to be pampered and spoiled, or perhaps a little getaway, you won't find a better place to go in Alberta.

Herb and his colleagues have been absolutely fantastic to work with. Challenges and miscommunications (if any - and almost always my fault) are sorted out quickly, and as for the food - always the best quality in preparation and presentation. #2 - My company runs a bi-monthly seminar for almost six years. Just this past summer we found ourselves in need of a new venue. We require seating for 50-75, while we host three guest speakers and some networking in between talks. Once again, Herb, Rita, Margaret and team continue to deliver first class service, food and an atmosphere that is really hard to beat anywhere else in the city. In closing, it's important to note, that none of our clients, guests or seminar attendees have ever given a single piece of negative feedback. Everything has been extremely positive.
