Every session I walk away feeling fulfilled and ready to move forward with at least a few issues, if not several worked through. I highly recommend Doctor Allard as both her office is peaceful and her presence and sound judgment, utmost professionalism and years of experience and expertise make for every session worth every second there. Always look forward to the next visit. I've tried to find a good psychologist over the years, but alas, I'll never have to look again! Best on the Peninsula.

For these clients, I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Allard. because of her natural nurturing and positive energies. She is honest, engaging and provides "in the moment" feedback that can enable one to take a look at problems in a new way. She is professional, present while tending to one's needs, listens intently, and is ever looking deeply for connections. Although I can see she discourages reviews, I couldn't help but posting because I feel she is unique and worthy of contacting should you wish to gain help from a mental health professional.

I want to stress that this place will teach you skills in life, notably, how to clean, how to deal…read morewith people. This place is great for escaping strife, seeing as you can leave and re-enter so long as you are accepted. You can get out of predicaments, and you can earn a wage here. You can see loads of scholarships as well. My advice is learn to enjoy reading early on, because some of the best use of downtime here is reading, watching movies, sports, and video games. The video games are usually watched by the staff. and they check to see if you are playing too many hours. All day is not accepted, a few hours is expected. Reading will serve you better than anything in the long run. In the end this place seems to be for those seeking to become better in the long-run, or stable in the short term. It is always the choice of the boy whether or not he joins, and so that is not entirely left up to the parent or guardian. This place can be fantastic, but I want to stress the environment. This place is an all boys school for troubled - but motivated youth. That leaves little alternative expectation to fighting. However, those who express an unwillingness to stop bullying and fighting are removed from the atmosphere. The boys at this place mostly have a sense of respect, and so if you fall below that gauge then everyone will hate you, and you would sooner want to leave than finish. It is funny because most people who join here, even I, state that they expected nerds, and weaklings, and there is no logic for that reasoning. Have some respectable traits among troubled boys and you will see yourself no harm. Beyond that the amount of respect the boys have follows to the mentally disabled, because we used to work with them, but not to gay boys, as of yet. There are staff who promote tolerance thereof, but as a whole for an all boys school it is more hated than you might expect, really seeing the given circumstance, so don't kid yourself. You would get along just fine I would say, even admitting this, so long as you don't start staring at someone you really like or making comments thereof. People hold this place to be very chaste and religious, because there are no permanent girls, and the expectations of the traditional conservative style church. Before I end the review I want to state that there is a 1/3 staff to boys ratio, which is high. The place is the staff, and they standardly work tirelessly to maintain top safety and guidance. They keep up with the times, while the church doesn't, of course. They all have training very often, and discussions among themselves encouraging and educating one another, which does bring about some of the best staff you can expect.

They teach at risk youth skills and discipline, but really its only a solution for parents that want to get rid of their kids because they cant handle them. Its great the diocese makes this attempt at helping society, but sending youth off to be in the company of other budding felons just makes them felons. Fights were very common as were sexual assaults from other boys. I didnt witness such improprieties from staff members who were largely very professional. In conclusion my criticism is less with Hanna and more with society in needing such places to begin with. Hanna wont transform your boy and just might make him worse. It could go either way.

We joke about it all these years later, but coming back for those follow up sessions would be exactly what I needed and truthfully, what I was lacking in my life. Whitney embodies compassion, care, empathy, and love and provides the safety of allowing me to show up as I am on any given day ready to help me unpack whatever I bring her. I came to her at a point in my life when I had shattered as a person. She has been by my side through some incredibly challenging times and there isn't anyone else that I would want in my corner when life happens. Whitney is an incredible therapist. If you are looking for someone who will see you as you are, accept you as you are, and who will walk by your side as you navigate the triumphs and challenges life throws at you, she is the one you need. I think she's pretty amazing and am thankful for her every day.

I tried one avenue, but it just didn't work. So I went on a search for a different therapist. And that search went on day after day, hour after hour. I spoke to some, but nothing ever felt like it was the right fit. Until one day, when I was feeling defeated, I stumbled upon Whitney. I took a look at her website and read her reviews and felt hopeful for the first time in days. From the moment I first spoke to Whitney, I knew she was the one to help me. Two years later, and I can say with absolute certainty that choosing Whitney to be my therapist was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Whitney is compassionate, thoughtful, and incredibly knowledgeable. She knows how to create a warm, comfortable and supportive environment where you feel safe to tell her all your thoughts and feelings. She's patient and kind, and never gives up on finding ways to help you. She has been such a positive light in my life, and has helped me overcome so much. While I'm still a work in progress, it's all thanks to Whitney that I have made it this far. And that is why I recommend and will always recommend Whitney. If you're looking for someone to help you get back onto the path to happiness, you've found her.

And, it's a service the comes from word of mouth. I was referred to Venus Rising by a client and friend. Due to some physical health concerns and stress load in my life, I sought out a truly breakthrough therapy. I'd tried big pharma and counseling of various types yet came to understand I needed something more sustaining and from within. Understanding this may read as rather groovy and far fetched for some, I can assure you I'm your average well educated, well compensated, father and husband in his fifties who needed something different to address some behaviors and addictions. I am a graduate of UC Berkeley and student of both science and arts. Elizabeth's breath work has brought a calmness and peace of mind other methods lacked. There is no doubt for me this woman is in fact a healer. I'm still seeing Elizabeth and will revisit should I encounter setbacks but she placed me on a path to recovery that begins with me, benefits me, and benefits my family and critical role as provider, partner and father. It doesn't take courage, but have the courage to take the first step and contact Elizabeth. And by the by you needn't be in dire straits to get a wee bit of fine tuning either!
