I was looking for Ketamine Assisted Therapy for my treatment-resistant depression & bipolarity. Their bedside manner, specifically the anesthesiologist, is bordering on horrible. Their response time is great- Oli, the ketamine-coach, is usually available via phone and is patient and kind. My main problem: The medical staff did not look for ongoing verbal consent, they didn't explain what was happening during my intake and started putting "vitamins" in my bloodstream without explaining consulting/asking for consent. If you engage with them, be specific about your needs for ongoing verbal consent, clear medical explanations, and a bedside manner that leads to feeling respected. The MD (anesthesiologist) dismissed my concerns by saying "it's natural- it's not the medicine, it's natural." When I asked for clarity on the medical meaning of "natural," I was met with frustration and "it's things that are already in your body." Again- that's not a medical response- it's dismissive. Oli, the person in charge of guiding/coaching me through the experience, admitted that the anesthesiologist is a great doctor but lacks a good bedside manner. I was baffled- why would you allow that with severely depressed folks? Everything is paid out of pocket, which means that if they start any kind of IV bag (with or without telling you?) you are on the hook for the dollars. If you are looking for Ketamine treatments with psychotherapy, that is NOT the main thing this place offers. They do offer a legal space for therapists to come in and assist clients in a Ketamine session. This was not clear to me until I carefully read and signed their paperwork before my first on-site visit. They offer COACHING to accompany ketamine experiences. The coaches are NOT THERAPISTS OR PSYCHIATRISTS. If you are suffering, I'm sorry, mental illness is so debilitating. If you use CIT, make sure you explain your needs for information and consent as things are being done to you. READ their disclaimers. Also, they don't have encryption, so anything medical you share will not be protected by encryption. Again, I didn't find this out until I read the proverbial fine print. read more

It's hard to put into words how profoundly the team at CIT has positively impacted my life. While I have had previous ketamine treatments, the experience with CIT had been the most complete, compassionate, effective, and comfortable. Treatments can often stretch the limits of your comfort, and can bring up heavy feelings as you integrate your experiences and memories. You will be prepped ahead of time, and debriefed after/between sessions. The rooms are very comfortable, and you can utilize the level of stimulation (music, lights, etc) to your liking. I've only worked with Dr. Danforth as the administering physician, who is thoughtful and collaborative with dosing and care plans. I have spoken to Dr. Tibble at length on the phone, who provided me with a ton of information about their services and process. Joyce handles the scheduling and payments (and sometimes intake/IV starts), and is very responsive, kind, and skilled. The entire team exudes warmth. I recommend them highly to anyone who is considering ketamine treatment. I have been to both the Marin and Vacaville clinics, and both are great. While the entire team is fantastic, I have to give a special shout out to Oli, one of the guides. Oli has been by my side during each treatment, holding space, grounding me, asking gentle but pointed questions, and listening and reflecting with the deepest compassion and non-judgment. I can say with certainty that my treatments would not have been as effective without this guidance and support, though the ketamine itself does some pretty miraculous work (and some people prefer a solo journey). He is thoughtful, warm, and you get the sense that he truly cares about your well-being and future. I am incredibly grateful for his presence. It is difficult for me to find the words to express how incredibly grateful I was to find CIT Clinic. They helped me crawl out of one of the darkest moments of my life. It is a daunting process these days to find a reputable, professional, caring ketamine clinic that follows the ethical and professional protocols (laid down by MAPS) needed to give truly good care. CIT Clinic most definitely does. I felt cared for from my very first conversation with Oli many months ago. I was suffering from a severe, long last episode of depression (over 3 years) and was feeling suicidal & very hopeless. Reaching out to a new doctor or new form of care in a moment like that can feel intimidating and overwhelming, but I never felt that way with CIT. It was clear from the moment I stepped in the office that this clinic knows what they are doing. The environment and setting feel kind and welcoming. If you're seeking a truly excellent ketamine clinic, call CIT Clinics. The staff, which include both therapists and anesthesiologists (having both was one of my requirements of a ketamine clinic) are incredibly knowledgeable, kind, compassionate and caring people. As background, I've had depression, anxiety and PTSD for as long as I remember. I am 56 years old and diagnosed with treatment-resistant depression. I do feel like I've tried every pharmaceutical solution ever invented for depression and several for anxiety. I've been in therapy for years and went through a pretty successful course of EMDR for PTSD. My memory and cognition had severely deteriorated and I recently went Into one of the deepest depressions I've experienced in years. My PTSD was also reactivated by an unfortunate incident a few weeks ago. I am on short-term disability for the depression, in the middle of a divorce, just moved into an apartment with my teens half-time, may lose my job, and have a variety of other pressing issues to deal with. Prior to this treatment, I was considering applying for long-term disability. I wanted to kill myself but wouldn't have done so because of my children. I had hit bottom. However, at CIT Clinics I recently underwent a course of 8 ketamine treatments in 4 weeks (typically it's 6 but I was afraid of psychedelics so started slowly) with two follow up treatments within about 4 weeks. CIT can treat you with NAD+ at the same time as the ketamine. NAD+ improves cognition and memory. I've received NAD+ along with ketamine during almost every treatment and my cognition and memory are better. I never thought I'd feel like this. Like "a real person". Normal. Strong. Happy. Joyful. Self-compassionate. Self-assured. Competent. Able to stand up for myself. More compassionate toward others. NOT DEPRESSED!!!! Wow!!! In two months!!! Life is not perfect and I experience ups and downs. And reasons to be stressed--so many of them. I just feel incredibly better equipped to handle those ups and downs. I honestly can't believe this change has happened to me. I hate to use the word "miracle", but after all these years, that's what this feels like. Please go into this process understanding that ketamine treatments are not merely another medicine. I am constantly reminded by the clinic that I need to practice self-care and journaling to incorporate what I have learned in and from the treatments into my life and my self. I want to make the most of these treatments and am doing my best to make these changes permanent. The changes I am experiencing due to the hard work of both the CIT staff and myself, with the aid of the ketamine and NAD+, are worth it. I should also credit twice-weekly sessions with my regular therapist with reinforcing these changes. I hope this review has been helpful. I had such an amazing and positive ketamine journey at CIT Clinics. All my questions were answered and there was no pressure or judgment. I was treated like family. All the staff was warm, compassionate, and always went the extra mile. After taking a small tour of the different types of rooms, which include changes in lighting, music, space, and furniture I was able to pick the room I felt most comfortable in and kept the room throughout my entire journey. I felt safe as an anesthesiologist is the person who administers the infusion and titrates the dose since not everyone's dose is the same. I had looked around at other places but I knew CIT was the place for me. Most places keep you at the same dose and make you pay upfront for everything, administer the infusion, and you're left to figure things out for yourself. This is what separates CIT Clinics from all others, not only do you have a dosage tailored to you, staff checks in with you before and after every infusion, you also have the option of having a coach guide you through every infusion, and after your initial ketamine infusions you have the option of choosing a life coaching to help you stay on track. I took a leap and called for a consultation and after all of my questions were answered I knew CIT was the place for me. The guidance, support staff, and system in place is what separates this clinic from every single one out there. I am beyond thankful to everyone there and for the life changing experience. This place has far exceeded my expectations. Started coming here for ketamine assisted therapy to deal with some gnarly depression I've been experiencing and have not been able to find effective treatment for. Kinda thought this place would simply be sufficient, nothing special. It has anesthesiologists on staff, which was important to me, as I most of all just wanted to feel safe. But time and time again, the staff exceeded my expectations, providing a level of care and concern and help that I didn't expect and was greatly appreciated, as well as greatly needed during this tough time. I've now worked with all 3 anesthesiologists, and all 3 were outstanding, really great, especially the husband/wife combo of Dr. Swift and Nurse Swift. And Oli's great at guiding the experience and making sure it's both safe and helpful. And not only are they great during the actual sessions, but Oli, the coach/therapist, and the rest of the staff are diligent about checking in between sessions and working with you to integrate the work you did in the sessions. These Doctors & Nurses SAVED MY LIFE! Back story: I was at the start of a deep downhill depression at the beginning of 2021. Come February I received the most terrible news of my life. I would basically have to be apart of a 4 week court trial. This trial would force me to bring up major issues from my childhood and a lot of trauma. Things I never talked to anyone about. When I got the call saying the exact days I'd need to be in court, it made it all too real.. I lost it mentally..it through me into the darkest, most agonizing mental state I've ever been in my life. I hit ROCK BOTTOM! As I was laying in bed one day telling my husband I couldn't take the racing thoughts, depression, and anxiety, another minute.. He googled an "iv vitamin" place thinking vitamin might help me ( with what I believe was some divine intervention from above), the CIT CLINIC link popped up first. My husband called them right away, and after a few phone conversations about my mental health, concerns, and what the best course of treatment would be for me -I ended up finding out that I was an ideal candidate for ketamine. I booked my first appt to go in the next day for my first ever ketamine treatment with Oli and Dr. Tibble. My first ketamine treatment was amazing to say the least! As soon as the ketamine IV hit me I felt the most peace I've ever felt in my entire life! Peace on a level I can't explain. Thoughts of past trauma were brought to the forefront of my mind, along with several other traumatic events I've gone through but it was not scary- my body still felt at peace. I was told that my body was basically disassociating itself from all those traumatic events. I ended up doing a total of 6 ketamine treatments to start with and every treatment I felt better and better. I literally haven't felt so good mentally ever in my life, so I didn't know it was even possible for my emotional state to improve more than it already did after my first ketamine drip- but it did! I was able to see the light... get out of that deeply depressive state, constant anxiety, negative thinking and see life for how beautiful it truly is. Oli even reminding me of things we talked about so I stayed on the right path and stay in this amazing emotional space. He is truly an awesome person and key player at the clinic. I highly recommend the combination of doctors and nurses listed above along with making sure Oli is there if you are looking for a seamless treatment at CIT CLINIC. I've had two boosters since completing my original 6 ketamine treatments. Yesterday being my second booster.. They added NAD+ to my ketamine yesterday and wow, I really feel like a million bucks today. I highly recommend adding NAD+ to your ketamine treatment or even getting it separate if you can. Both are life changing! I feel more than amazing today!!! I owe the Doctors, Nurses and Oli whom I mentioned- a huge thank you. I owe them my life! Truly! CIT Clinics was a lifesaver. My daughter had been suffering from treatment resistant depression for months. Unable to get out of bed, or do even the simplest task, she was desperate to get help. CIT Clinics understood the problem and scheduled her right away. Working closely with her doctors to administer treatment, we booked five infusions for her over a two to three week period. The CIT Clinic staff at both the Vacaville and Corte Madera facilities were sympathetic, caring, incredibly responsive, professional, and most of all, kind.
