I wasn't sure what to anticipate and as soon as I walked into the salon I was warmly welcomed and put at immediate ease with a inviting smile. Coming from California, at best I know some French words but Sarah speaks English well. Initially she spent time consulting with me and I shared photo of what I was looking for (I went from short length hair to a pixie cut). We comfortably discussed my needs and she was very attentive to understand and throughout checking along to ensure I was happy as we went along. My haircut was crafted expertly and extremely happy with the outcome. Sarah was so sweet, genuine and truly accommodating! Sarah brought me to the rear of the salon to the wash station room. She explained she wanted to create a relaxing and soothing experience while getting hair washed/conditioned. Dimmed lights with a visual slide show projection of tropical images to enhance the experience- totally cool. The shampoo wash and head massage was the best ever! Sarah expertly gave a lengthy head and neck massage and ended with a hot/warm head towel to further add to the experience. It was a real treat! The salon itself has a contemporary, a chic but yet warm design, immaculate. The atmosphere is inviting and friendly. I was brought a tray of bottled Vitell water/glass during my visit. Be prepared since they don't rush you out the door with a quick turnaround appointment. Its apparent service is important and taking care of you takes added time which was very evident to me. Salon is easy to find on a side street off the active (popular amongst tourists) Rue Saint Denis (2nd Ard) about a 15 min walk from the Louvre/Notre Dame. Nice area to explore and walk about. I left the Saravy Salon super pleased and must say it was one of the highlights of my trip to Paris! I've been coming to Paris for years and this was my first time getting a haircut. My trepidations were quickly vanished and now I have a darling, stylish new haircut! Plan to be back again in the fall and will certainly book another appointment with Sarah at Saravy Salon!!!

I made an appointment a few days prior for a blowout ("un brushing" for any non-French speakers), and wow! They gave me one of the best, bounciest, curliest salon blowouts that I've ever gotten! The stylist doing my hair was also very understanding of what I was trying to say despite my very broken French. I also really liked the colorful and eclectic aesthetic of the salon itself. I only know a few words in French, so I downloaded Google Translate to my phone so that I could communicate at least the basics. I was really nervous, but the women here were very welcoming and accommodating even though we didn't speak each other's language. A woman took my jacket to hang up, she gave me a quick hair wash / scalp massage, and then she cut my hair (combo of electric clippers and normal scissors). She also offered to gel it at the end. I paid 19€ on credit card, and then she seemed to really appreciate my 2€ cash tip. My hair looks great. P.S. If this review helped you, I'd love to hear it! We had spotted this salon earlier while walking from our hotel to Notre Dame and made reservations. It had a very pleasant and relaxing atmosphere and was frequented by neighborhood locals, obviously regular customers. They spoke no more English than we knew French, but we managed to communicate what we wanted with no problem and were very pleased with result. Would highly recommend!

I went here actually on the way to find another salon that was open on a Sunday since most are…read moreclosed on Sundays. The sign on the front door may have said something about taking reservations only on Sunday (or so with my broken French), but I walked in anyways just to inquire. No one was in the small salon except for one woman who may have been the owner. I asked if she would be able to do a manicure since I was in dire of need of one, and to waste a little time while my boyfriend was running in the marathon that day. She immediately took me and did a wonderful job, making great conversation in English because she said her French wasn't too great (neither was mine, which worked out well!). She did a pretty good job on the manicure, though the color selection was a little lacking. Another coworker of hers walked in not too long after I got there, but the salon continued to stay empty. She tried talking me into some other services like a massage or facial, but I told her I didn't have too much time to spend there aside from the manicure. Though she did convince me to try threading, for which this other woman was excellent for. So after my nails were done and dry, I got into another chair and the owner reassured me that I would be okay and held my eyelid shut as the woman threaded away. I was worried about pain since I've never done this before, or even waxing. But it was surprisingly not very painful at all - and the whole thing took 5-10 minutes! I was quite impressed with the results since my brows never really had much shape in my hands and she didn't make them thin either, so they looked really nice. The manicure was 20 euros, and the threading only 7 euros. It's a rather inexpensive salon compared to what others could be in a relatively expensive city. I would at least recommend this salon if you are looking to shape your eyebrows, or for a quick cheap manicure. The ladies were very welcoming and helpful.
